THE MOVIE "CONCUSSION COMMOTION" WITH WILL SMITH.
I did see it at the movie theater when it first came out.
I HAVE BOUGHT THE MOVIE YESTERDAY ON DVD AND WATCHED IT AGAIN.
On the back of the case we read: "...a dramatic thriller based on the incredible true David and Goliath story of American immigrant Dr. Bennet Omalu, the brilliant forensic neuropathologist who made the first discovery of CTE, a football-related brain trauma, in a pro player and fought for the truth to be known. Omalu's emotional quest puts him at dangerous odds with one of the most powerful - and beloved - institutions in the world......"
ON THE "SPECIALS" we see the real life men at the heart of this truth. Will Smith says as a parent it was a shock to know this truth, as only knowing you could brake an arm or leg or such, but not the truth of brain injury. When all the facts are in there is about a 30 percent chance of brain injury in playing pro Football of North America. The human brain sits in a bowl of liquid, as opposed to say such creatures as the wood-pecker [whose tongue goes back and wraps itself round the brain] blasting away at pecking wood.
SO THE FACTS IN SHOW THE DANGERS OF "SPORTS" THAT BASH THE HEAD. ONE LATEST FACT ON WHICH SPORT OUTSIDE OF BOXING GET THE MOST SMASHES TO THE HEAD ARE: 1. RUGBY - 2. AMERICAN FOOTBALL - 3. HOCKEY.
When all is said and done, it is VERY CLEAR that NO sport where the head is being smashed on a regular basis, should be played in that manner, where the head is getting smashed on a regular basis.
THE HEAD-SMASHING SPORTS NEED TO REVAMP THEIR GAME TO DRASTICALLY REDUCE THE HEAD-SMASHES. IF THEY DO NOT, YOU THE PUBLIC AND PARENTS NEED TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER IF YOUR CHILD SHOULD PLAY SUCH GAMES. I KNOW THE DOCTORS IN THE SOCCER WORLD HAVE COME OUT TO SAY, NO CHILD SHOULD BE HEADING THE SOCCER BALL UNTIL IN THEIR EARLY 20s.
THIS IS A MOVIE ALL PARENTS SHOULD SEE ALONGSIDE THEIR CHILDREN.
