PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE
McCain - Obama
September 26 2008
I watched this debate. Looking at it just on the human level -
leaving "religion" out of it, and it was a debate on economics
and foreign policy - I agree with some debate "experts" - both
fellows did well.
They tried hard to be friendly towards each other. They both
threw out the "WELL HE DID THIS AND HE DID THAT" which the other
either smiles at or looks blank. Such goes on all the time with
persons of the opposite political party. We get used to hearing
it.
Both I think have sometimes misunderstood certain sentences from
each other in some areas over the last months. It gave them a
chance to amplify the meaning of their sentences.
It is obvious that McCain is, as he has been called a "maverick"
in his political party.
He sees that CHANGE in many ways needs to be done in Washington.
Obama of course agrees fully on that issue with him.
It is obvious both men are sincere in believing THEIR political
party is best to run the USA. Then again they would be excepted
to believe this or they would not have had the nomination of
"party leader" if they did not.
It was good to see that at times both man were willing to agree
with the other on some points.
Both men are well "versed" in the road they represent.
TWO THINGS WERE VERY CLEAR!
FIRST
Obama and McCain HAVE SOME FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCES as to HOW the
USA should be led under the next President of the United States.
Then that is to be expected when leaders from the two political
parties meet to debate. They both would come at the bulls-eye of
certain issues from a different avenue, hence a different way of
looking at the issue. So that of course is always the bottom line
that makes the difference between being in the Democratic Party
or the Republican Party. And of course both men have the reasons
why they think their party has the correct avenue to get to the
bull-eye. Which debates on, can go on forever it seems.
SECOND
Which Political Party will put the man in the White House, one
thing is for CERTAIN! THEY WILL HAVE A MIGHTY HUGE MESS TO
TACKLE, JUST ON THE ECONOMICAL AND FOREIGN POLICY SIDE, LET ALONE
OTHER ISSUES.
Now, bringing God and the Bible back into the picture. I will say
this: It is possible that God will allow the USA to get out of
much (maybe all) of it's economical mess. Maybe over the next few
years God will allow the USA to win the battle over terrorists.
It's possible that there may yet come some "good times" (on the
human level) for the USA people. BUT in the long run of things,
the fact is that the USA is in MORAL DECLINE! I see no political
party able to reverse the pathway the USA has chosen in the main,
towards more and more secularism and moral tumble and less and
less of the way of the Lord in its homes, schools, courts of law,
and government.
So it will be an interesting 4 years coming up. Only time with
tell as to how well the next President of the USA will be able to
lead, seeing he will inherit ONE HUGE MESS in so many areas of
life that the USA has now put itself.
One thing is for sure. Prophecy marches on - the Beast Babylon of
Europe is rising. The Roman Catholic church is still GROWING
around the world. The powers to the EAST like China, are GROWING.
The Arab nations with their religion are GROWING. The State of
Israel is still under attack; some still want to blast them off
the map.
It will in time all lead to a world political scene that will
blow most of us away, sadly I do mean literally as well as
figuratively. Then when that does come to pass, we will at least
know that the time is near for the coming of our Lord and Savior
Christ Jesus, back to this planet to establish the Kingdom of God
on earth.
