WORLD NEWS
November 13th 2009. The desolation and desert conditions in
Afghanistan is quite something to behold. This news program took
you there, to a part of this country. You have these mountains
and you are told that on the other side of them the Taliban enemy
get its supplies of guns, ammo etc. AND NO ONE (not even the USA)
does anything about it. No UN country or the USA is trying to
STOP this supply line. Now you go and figure, and the West hopes
to win the war in Afghanistan - give me a break! All we will
continue to do is loose more lives of our young adults in a
desert of a land.

It is now a statistic - 1 in 5 USA soldiers will come home with
"combat stress" - all kinds of mental/stress problems. 16
soldiers committed SUICIDE in the month of October - up and up it
goes. It has gone up quite a lot in the last year over the year
before. One lady (whose on the side of trying to help when they
get home) said all kinds of marriage problems from stress to
divorce to physical violence, is taking place in the lives of
these soldiers.
I wonder if ex-President Bush boy (and Tony Blair of Britain)
sleep well at night? They were the two guys who sent those
soldiers over there in the first place.

The new Russian leader wants to lead the country out of recession
and authoritarian rule. Before his speech to the nation he asked
for the people to give input into what he should talk about. Wow
- now that's a first I would think for a Russian President ...
probably a first for any "big league" leader of the world to do.
Maybe some leaders of the West could take a leaf out of his book
and do the same.

Ireland is the "sick kid" of Europe, it was revealed this week.
There is talk of having to give their banks a bail-out of around
80 BILLION dollars - yes that is with a "B."
......
Europe is having a difficult time in moving to select the new
office of "President" and "Foreign Affairs" office - too many
guys/gals applying for the jobs.

Gold is still shooting skyward to the moon I guess, who knows
where it may go, maybe on to Mars. Gold has seen a 26 percent
increase since the beginning of 2009.

An "expert" has said he thinks "global construction" (housing and
sky-scrapers and other buildings) will buzz back to high gear
again by 2020 - China and India being the big guys to get the
cement pouring once more.

Wal-Mart - world's biggest retailer - fighting to stay on top, to
keep its head above the water even. They say this coming
December/January sale season will have a lot to say about if they
keep their head above the water or have to swallow it.

Job sharing is getting popular in the USA. Better to have some
work than none for sure. The way jobs are still disappearing in
the USA, many more companies will have to consider job sharing if
they do not want to go belly-up.
......
There's one group that have opened up (after 40 years in
business) to job share with their FIRST female. The famous "red
arrows" flying/dare-devil team of Britain have their first woman
piolet. Why .... simple .... they say she was the best qualified
for the job. Well good for you gal, go to it. If Dale Evans could
ride and shoot'em up with Roy Rogers in the movies, then a gal
can fly with the "red arrows" is what I say.

Some BIG no name storm has hit the East coast. A slap and a
wallop it is sending. I guess they have many "no name" products
today, so I think they think they can have a no name storm. I
don't imagine the storm is bothered about having a name.
