NEWS FROM HERE AND THERE
December 5th 2009. The world is again soon going into a huddle to
figure out what can and needs to be done for global climate
change.
The weather that is hitting Alberta right now - snow - then
bitter cold for a week, reminds me of what it was like 40 years
ago in Western Canada, only back then it could start in October
and go till April. Maybe they can figure it all out by keeping
Canada in the warmth and putting the snow, ice, and cold back in
the North and South poles. As you may gather I ain't a winter
snow lover at all, give me southern California any time, but away
from the fires.

Houston, Texas, had snow - 4 inches of the white stuff, the
earliest they have ever had it.

Canada has increased its polluting emissions since 1990 by 26
per- cent. It is being called the bad boy of the Commonwealth.
......
Some figures the USA is having a hard time with .... 15.6
unemployment for blacks: 9.3 unemployment for whites. They say
not as many lower paid jobs around that usually the black
population will snap up.

EU calls for the future Palestinian country's capital to be East
Jerusalem ..... here the EU is starting to flex its muscles on
the Middle East and its future.

The NEW President position of the EU did not go to Tony Blair of
Britain, maybe they figured he was "out to lunch" when he sided
up with Bush boy for the Iraq/Afghanistan war.

The Swine Flu is dropping off in the USA, they tell us, just as
vaccine is again available. Could be the swine flu will go down
in history as just another variety of flu. There are we are told
about 100 varieties of flu, and it is a guessing game as to what
vaccine shot they'll shoot you with for any flu season. And
thousands still die around the world in any flu season, been that
way folks for decades. I doubt it will change any time soon, if
it's a while before Jesus returns.

China has "called in" the Washington "Panda" (born 4 years ago in
the USA). It now has to go back to China. Obviously the
arrangement with China was not without a time limit. As one
commentator said, "Let's hope China does not call in the debt the
USA owes it." Now around ONE TRILLION dollars at least.

Tiger Woods (the world's number one golfer at present) "role
model image" that he once said he'd like to have, has been thrown
out the window this last week. I was fortunate as a kid growing
up that my "role model" image guys stuck true - they were Roy
Rogers and Slim Whitman - both dedicated Christian men. Roy
Rogers and his horse Trigger were household names in the
30s,40s,50s, and Slim Whitman (real name - Otis Whitman - still
alive as I write - a month away from being 86 - a couple dozen of
his CDs you can get from Amazon.com) a household name in the 50s
and 60s and again from 1980-1983, selling more LPs from a TV ad
(those only buy from TV ad) than any other "only buy" from TV ad
by anyone. Suffork Marketing (the people behind the TV ad) sold
over 4 million Slim Whitman LPs in two years. Roy and Slim: Two
great guys, with fine voices, and super yodels. Now they were
true mentors and role model guys.
