Peace to War to Pollution

192 NATIONS MEET ON THE SUBJECT
                             OF GLOBAL WARMING
Some declare this to be the greatest and most inportant meeting
in human history.
China will be the biggest polluter in the near future; the USA
not far behind; Canada is dragging its heels.
Europe says it will cut CO2 emissions by 20 percent or more by
2020.
Will they accomplish anything in reality, some say yes, some say
no. Only time will tell, if the world has the will to pull itself
out of a meltdown.
The average person in the USA it seems has little interest in the
subject at present, I guess their interest lies in getting job
and paying the bills, which is to be understood as 10 percent are
out of work, and the USA economy is sluggish to say the least.
......
The Swiss are on the band-wagon to get 2,000 watts of energy per
person. The USA uses at present 12,000 watts per person of
energy. They say if you divide the total watts used in the world
by the total population is comes to 2,000 watts per person. The
Swiss are aiming for 2,000 watts per person in their country and
showing the world you can still live a fine lifestyle. Good for
them.
......
The USA and China are the two biggest pollutors in the world.
With China still using coal in a huge way, it is not expected
they will change their habit any time soon.
......
China they say by 2020 will overtake the USA as the number one
econemy in the world. By 2050 they figure China will be TWICE the
economy of the USA. But the fact remains the masses of people in
China are still dirt poor. China's economic output did grow by 8
percent in the last year of this recession. Still with masses of
poor, large troubles could lie ahead for China.

A Canadian man produces hemp oil from marijuana, and has poved it
helps cure many ailment. He gives the oil way. He challenges the
medical world to prove him wrong. The Mounties raided his home
while he was out of the country. He's not sure he will return.
Tara Chapman has a detailed article about marijuana on her
Website. It's time the Western world woke up about the many uses
of marijuana. As they say, none are so blind as they who do not
want to see.
......
So now in December 2009 - 192 countries at Copenhagen try to work
together to see if they can reverse glabal warming and the horrid
effects it will have on the earth in the next 40 years. The will-
power of some nations like China, USA, and Canada will surely be
put to the test. Canada is looked upon as the "bad boy" of
pollution, in relation to the amount per person.

The incredible Mr.Jeff Canada and his masterful system in the
Harlem school project for kids, has proved his point. He has
astounded many an educator. Most (way way above the average) of
the children taught under his sytem go on to College. This is
very fine, but I do question if he is just bringing children into
the "white collar" work, desiring that dream of very high pay, or
is he still mindful that we need electricians, carpenters,
welders, machinists, road builders, heavy equipment drivers, and
all other kinds of blue collar workers. College or University,
and white collar working is not for everyone. The documentary and
interviews on "60 Minutes" said nothing about Jeff's work in this
area.
......
Australia is booming, with only a 5.7 unemployment, all kinds of
jobs are available they say. So if you want work in the sun go to
Australia.
......
Greece it would seem is the biggest liability for the EU right
now - it is the lame duck of the union at present.
......
Iraq has IMMENSE oil reserves. They had an "aution" for the oil
in south Iraq. Some company in China and Shell won, so maybe big
times ahead for Iraq oil.
......
Obama gets the Nobel Peace prize - then he's sending 30,000 more
troops into Afghanistan. You go figure. He was just as surprised
to get this award as most of the rest of the world was. You talk
about some brainless minds of so-called educated people - but
politics at times takes over. Now do you still remember how Obama
rode to the White House on decrying Bush boy's war efforts and
saying it was time for "change" from the Republican way of doing
things. When it comes to "war" so far he is a carbon copy of
carrying on where Bush left off. I'll say it again, you cannot
win in hand to hand combat with an enemy that ambushes or hits
and then runs.
......
The USA wants to bring in new laws to govern Wall Street and to
make sure a meltdown of that empire on that street, never happens
again. Apparently the new laws are far from becoming law, the
hoops and jumps and slides, to bring all this new law into law,
is not anywhere close to becoming law. Time will tell if it ever
does. The old lifestyle of freedom, freedom, and more freedom,
does not die very fast in the USA. Anything to govern by laws
(except on the speed limit on highways and drug dealing) is
looked upon by most as Socialism or Communism, which are still
dirty words in the USA.
......
Now for you under-water buffs. A new Canada/USA venture has just
kicked off. It is some under water research project that goes out
in the bottom of the ocean off Vancouver Island Canada. Six or so
stations are hooked up in and out and back again. They say this
is an ideal location to study the changing oceans, and what is
happening in this time of global warming. They have a Webite - an
open Website, whatever that means, for people to participate in.
So if you are so inclined in ocean science their Website is:
neptunecanada.ca
......
I think that covers the big news for this week of December 12th
2009.
