A USA passenger plane was just about blown up with a fellow
carrying explosive powder in his underwear. It did not explode.
All major airport around the world will be installing see through
your clothes scanners. Travelling around the world by air will never
be the same.

Alzheimer's disease is diagnosed 1 every 5 minutes in Canada. In
30 years they figure 1 every 2 minutes - it is a mushroom sickness.
They do not as yet know why it is increasing as it is.

The world's tallest and largest tower building opened in Dubai.
It is 828 metres high - 160 stories and makes the Canadian CN tower
in Toronto and the Empire State Building in New York city look like
toys.

Britain/Europe - coldest and more snow in decades. In Britain for
one day 8,000 schools were closed - 1/2 the working population
never came into work.

Canadian Nortel company has invented a plasma rocket - it heats
the fuel like as the sun. Will make a trip to Mars about 1/10th
shorter than the present today's fuel speed for a space-ships.

USA has lost 85,000 jobs in December 2009. It is now 17.3 percent
in part-time work. Government jobs are lost also. Many have given
up looking for work.

California is suffering greatly from lack of employment - 2.3
million out of work. It is drowning in "red ink.

The weather in the USA has been horrid in most parts - record
setting in some areas.

On some good news, we have the dog "Angel" by name being an angel
to its boy master/friend. The boy was playing outside, a cougar
from the wild was running to kill him; his dog knew and ran
inbetween him and the cougar; the cougar pounced on the large
dog.
There was some fight and blood, but the neighbors managed to
frighten the cougar away; the dog Angel lived. It was all over
the Internet, and the world praised the dog for saving the boy's
life.
Some good things are still happening in our world, but the media
seems to concentrate on the bad things.
