BUSH'S LAST PRESS CONFERENCE
January 12th 2009. It was probably George W. Bush's last press
conference today.
He swaggers away in his Texas tough walk style as one of the
least popular Presidents in modern history. None of the modern
Presidents have been revolutionary in leading the USA back to
true Christian moral standards, so we'll put that to one side.
George W. had to admit some bad moves and "disappointments" -
like Iraq having no weapons of mass destruction. But have you
EVER seen a President going out that ever admitted "Welllll....I
sure made a mess-up of that" (the 4 or 8 year term in the White
House). Yep, Nixon did say basically that, but only on the
Watergate affair.
So, George boy said he came in on a recession and he leaves on
one, and so it goes, they just will not come out and say how bad
they messed up on so many things. The average USA persons knows
it, that's why Obama was given such a large victory, but to get a
President to admit he sure messed up ... that's just not the way
you do it in the political world. Obama is being wise enough to
ALREADY be saying that it may take a number of years to pull the
USA out of recession. He knows that the problem may be too large
for him and Congress.
China is pushing ahead with massive production of its "electric
car" (the first one to only need a regular house outlet) and hope
to not only win in their country but also to steal the leading
part in the rest of the world. The USA car makers are showing
their electric cars but mass production is some way off. China
wants to be the first one out of the starting blocks, leading the
way, and they could very well pull it off.
The British are so down and out that they now advertize on their
"double-decker" buses "There probably is no God, so get on with
life and enjoy it."
I'm not surprised to see them doing this, they have now for a
couple of decades, been down to about 3 percent of them going to
church on a regular basis.
The Western world missed the "flue" shot once more. If you did
not know, they can only do a "guess" at what flue strain may hit
the population, and so what vaccine to shoot you with. In the
last 7 years they've missed it 5 times.
There is no let-up in the Jew and Hamas war in Gaza. The sad fact
is that even if the Jews deliver a kind of death blow to Hamas,
it is only a matter of time before Hamas will resurrect itself
and we will go in circles once more.
