BRITAIN COULD BE HIT THE WORST OF ALL
SIGH AND CRY FOR ....
January 28th 2009. The Canadian Nation News had a ten minute glog
on Britain and the World Recession. Think it is bad in the USA
and Canada (and it is) but Britain they say could be effected the
worst of any country in the world. It is fast becoming so. The
Banks were given Billions of pounds and apparently it did
nothing, they just sat on it. So Prime Minister Brown is figuring
out another route to try and get the banks loaning out money
again. All kinds of businesses are no more (just as is happening
in the USA) - massive un-employment, more lay-offs every day (so
it is in the USA - Star-Bucks is laying off 10,000 including
Canada).
The same Canadian News also gave a 10 minute glog on China. They
too are hitting the skids after 30 years of booommmm!!
Stimulus packages and Government hand-outs all of the big
industrial world of the once super powers of economics and
growth. All in the attempt to jump-start the way back to
employment for millions and economic glory that has been enjoyed
by the prosperous nations for many year till now. Will it work?
So far it has not in Britain, and may not anywhere else either.
Only time will tell if it works for the USA and Canada. The
larger problem is that all the industrialized nations of the
world were dove-tailed together so much that starting up just one
nation in the pack may not work. Yes all these nations hit by the
recession may be able to get some "infrastructure" (fixing roads,
bridges, etc.) going and give some work for those skilled (now or
after re-training) but infrastructure building alone is not going
to be able to get the nations back to where they were a year ago.
Interesting how it plays out in certain ways, a deep recession
like in the "dirty thirties" is good for the "movie industry" -
more people want to forget about the troubles and want to be
entertained by the movies. They say it was exactly that way in
the 1930s. So one industry that makes good by a recession is the
movie industry. But as we know the splurge in that one sector is
not going to pull us out of a deep recession like this one.
Obama is just about close to getting his desire of 850 BILLION
dollars to throw at the recession.
So with more and more job lay-offs each day from more and more
companies, it is going to be an interesting next three to four
months to see what 850 Billion dollars in the USA Government
"recession fund" will do for the USA, and if it will have impact
for the world at large to dig itself out of the bottomless pit it
has put itself in.
SIGH AND CRY ....
Tonight I was coming home from an enjoyable evening at the Square
Dance club. The news on the car radio made me sick, just broke my
heart as they say. This father in Australia had thrown his 4 year
old daughter off a 180, yes that is 180 foot bridge to a river
below. The news said the little girl was retrieved within ten
minutes, but did not survive getting to the hospital. There was
apparently some fight in the courts between the girl's mother and
father.
I know there is TERRIBLE things happening to children each day,
terrible things parents do to their own children. Most we never
hear about, but when you do hear of them, it is truly heart-
breaking. Little children that did not ask to be born into this
world, that did not ask or want their parents to be fighting in
court over them or anything actually. My mind in some ways does
not want to think about a little four year old getting thrown
from a 180 foot bridge to her death. Yet, I just could not but
have my mind on such a horrid happening.
Jesus took up the little children in His arms, when His disciples
thought they were just bothersome, and said that if a person did
not become like a little child in certain ways, they would not be
able to enter the Kingdom of God.
The child of God will never allow themselves to become callous to
the evils of the world, to what must be in some cases, demon
influence or demon possession. There are times when you need to
be heart-broken, to sigh and cry (Ezekiel 9) for all the
abominations that happen. Never get so used to the sin and
horribleness of the world that you cannot at times cry (even
literally) and just be so upset that it may cause you to even
loose sleep.
You as child of God should not be watching the horrible,
ghastly, gruesome, revolting, disgusting, nauseating, detestable,
abhorrent, monstrous, unspeakable, and despicable things that are
on the various "prime-time" TV shows and the SICK-coms as I call them.
All of that stuff should not be a part of your regular daily diet.
If it is, you need to take stock of what you are allowing to come
into your home.
The child of God will not want to hear or see the sins of this
world beyond what is already carried on the National News (even
then, because too much sin is given to us on the news, we need to
even guard watching too much news). When we do then hear
something as sickening as this little girl loosing her life in
the way she did, we will truly, I mean with some emotion, sigh
and cry for the abominations of this world.
I was shaken tonight on my way home, on hearing that news, I said
to our Father, "Oh Father, we need your Kingdom, please shorten
these days, we need your will to be done on earth as it is in
heaven."
Can you still SIGH and CRY at times, really sigh and cry? If not
you need to take inventory on your life and how you are living
it!
