Plane crash - Space crash!

Serving the needy!

                          PLANE CRASH - 50 KILLED
                         VOTE FOR STIMULUS PACKAGE
                                SPACE CRASH
                              SERVING OTHERS
February 13th 2009. Last night a passenger plane coming in
to land at Buffalo, took a nose dive, hit a house and blew up.
One person on the ground killed and 49 (everyone) on the plane.
It's the first passenger plane to go down in the USA in 2 and 1/2
half years. It may have something to do with excessive ice on the
wings.
When you consider, as they said, that 38,000 planes take off
in the USA EVERY DAY, that is extremely good that the loss of
life from commercial flying is that low. They say that the safest
way to travel is to fly.
It is always sad, always sad, when this does happen. It gets
the news because it so seldom happens, I'm sure more than 50
people die on the roads each day in North America.
The "stimulus package" goes before the vote in the Senate
tonight. It should pass and then onto the desk of Obama to sign.
Interestingly no Republicans voted for it. The final bill is
worth 787 Billion dollars. Interestingly also, a handful of
Democrats voted against it.
Flue in the USA is up sharply from 2008. It is always hit-
and-miss with the vaccines, as they never really know which
strain of flue [there are dozens] will hit in any given year. Now
they say, the flue bugs are learning how to resist the shots we
try to blow them away with.
Suicide bombers still at large in Iraq. A lady today blew
herself up and killed at least 40 others at the same time.
It has finally happened - a space smash of stuff up there.
They say the result of all that smash could stay up there for
THOUSANDS of years, and make it that much more dangerous for
space missions. They tell us there are already hundreds if not
thousands of things, from screws to .... whatever size, flying
around the earth that we are responsible for. Even our near space
we are polluting.
Nice to hear some people are still doing "good deeds" out
there. This lady is checking out at the grocery store and
literally sighs at the look of the bill. She's one of many hit by
the economic melt-down. Her bill was over $100. The cashier says
to her, "The man before you has paid your bill." By this time the
man had gone through and left. She was not able to say thank you
to him. But he was thanked by it being on the NBC evening news.
Good for him, and others like him who are still remembering
the poor and needy. Nice to know in this time of recession that
some are well off enough to help those suffering from the
unrighteous work of the Wall Street guys and Bankers (who still
seem to be getting enormous salaries and bonuses).
                          ......................
To be continued from time to time
