Obama is still pushing for national medical plan; he's having a
battle.
I will give you one side of personal experience. I was living and
working for this Podiatrist in Florida in 1993/94 as his on staff
"shoe and orthotic" maker. He was married with two children. He
had to pay $750 a month for medical coverage for his family, with
a $1,000 deductible (he paid the first $1,000). Now that was his
case then. Sounded to me like a national medical plan was needed.
Like a good part of the population I had no private coverage of
anything, I'm sure it would have been out of my means to have
any, for what I was getting for a pay check, so I took the chance
you might say, as I was not planning to stay in the USA on any
life-time goal.
Sure the Canadian system may not be 100 per cent perfect in its
National Medical system, but it sure beats $750 a month payment
for a family to be insured with $1,000 deductible.
