SUNDAY AND 3:30 TO LEAVE AND HEAD FOR THE AIR PORT IS FAST COMING. BORN IN WALES I HAVE SENTIMENTAL ATTACHMENT - A FARMING COUNTRY IN THE MAIN, 2 OR 3 MILLION POPULATION. WONDERFUL SCENERY; USUALLY LOTS OF SUNSHINE AND MILD WEATHER.

It is WALES that is called "The Land of Song" - but still sing much music in the Welsh language....so does not have the fame of Irish music. RUGBY is their national sport.....listening to the Welsh men singing before a Rugby game is quite the experience.

Loved my Uncle's farm when we visited, the fresh country smell, the smell of new cut hay in the hay loft of the barn.....oh my so nice. As the saying goes, "You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy." And after seeing Roy Rogers and Trigger at age 7 [a color movie] riding across the range in full gallop.... well that did it..... out west this cowboy from Wales just had to go when I got to age 18. And I indeed did, yes at 18. And did join the cowboys.

IT'S BEEN QUITE THE JOURNEY....MY PARENTS CAME TO LIVE IN CANADA 1984...... THE JOURNEY HAS NOW ONE LAST LOOP; PLACE MY PARENTS ASHES BACK IN OUR VILLAGE; THAT CIRCLE WILL BE COMPLETE, THEY WILL REST IN THE VILLAGE THEY LOVED AND GREW UP IN. MY MIND WILL THEN BE AT REST, THAT AS I PROMISED TO THEM I FULFILLED.

OH YES....I'm reminded of part of one of Wales' favorite songs:

"We'll keep a welcome in the hill sides; we'll keep a welcome in the dales; this land of song will still be singing, when you come home again to Wales...." Kinda chokes me up when I sing it.
