WHY WE OBSERVE THE SEVENTH DAY
FOREWORD
The purpose of this essay is to call the Israelites of this
generation back to the original design of Yahweh, the Covenant
God of Scripture. Our God purposes for His children to walk in
truth. His truth is contained in the Holy Scriptures. The Bible
leads us always back to the original design of Yahweh in every
aspect of our lives. Satan seeks to take ground from us by
placing before us the counterfeit laws of man and thereby blind
us to the truth of Scripture. We take back ground from Satan and
His Kingdom when we cast off the counterfeit and return to the
original design of Yahweh in every area of our lives. We will
never be blessed of God by willful participation in the
counterfeit laws which Satan has used to lure us into His domain
of influence. The call of this message is to return to the
original blueprint of Yahweh's perfect, undefiled, and Holy Law.
Hear this instruction from the Prophet Jeremiah: "Thus saith
Yahweh, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths,
where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest
for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein"
(Jeremiah 6:16). The time has come for Israelite Christians to
seek out the old pathways of truth and walk therein. Jeremiah
continues in 7:23 to declare: "...Obey my voice, and I will be
your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways
that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you." If we
are to grow in spiritual maturity we must return to the original
pathways, the Holy Laws of our God that He commanded His people
Israel to follow.
For too long we have followed strange laws, worshipped at
the feet of heathen gods, and have lived by the commandments and
statutes of man. The call to Come out of her my People
(Revelation 18:4) is upon us today. We must discard the commands
and traditions of man in preference for the Divine Commandments
of our Eternal God. There is an antinomian spirit of lawlessness
that is sweeping North America. Our pulpits are aflame with
rebellion. The pulpit and the pew are silent with respect to
God's Law. The clergy have failed to make the commandments and
statutes of Yahweh known to this generation. Our people are being
destroyed for the lack of knowing God's law (Hosea 4:6).
The specific area of Divine Law that this exposition is
seeking to defend concerns the Holy Sabbath and the Holy Feast
Days of the Scripture. The time has come for us to return to the
Original Design of the Sabbath and of the Holy Festivals. We must
return to the rhythm of the Holy Sabbath and the Annual Feast
Days that He created and commanded us to follow. The CHURCH OF
ISRAEL at Schell City, together with other Christian Israelites
throughout America and the western world, wishes to encourage you
to join with those who are resolved to seek out the old pathways,
to walk in the good way (Jeremiah 6:16), and to walk in obedience
to the Law of Yahweh in this present world. Only when we are
living in obedience to His Law are we the children of the Living
God (Jeremiah 7:23).
Finally, it is to be noted that the Christian religion is
established upon the Covenants made with Israel. This holy
covenant was sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Our
relationship with Jesus Christ is established in terms of
Covenant Law. We are either living in obedience to the Covenant
Law and are, thereby, under the blessing of Yahweh, or we are
living in disobedience to the Covenant Law and are under the
curses and judgment of that Law. The Holy Sabbath and the Holy
Festivals of Yahweh are a vital part of that Covenant Law. As a
Christian, you are called to walk in obedience to the Covenant
Law of Yahweh the God of Israel. Will you resolve to walk in
obedience to the Covenant Law of the Bible? Obedience to Jesus
Christ in this present world will be confirmation of our
salvation and citizenship in the Kingdom of God in the world to
come.
The Christian does not keep the law to be saved. The
believer keeps the law because he is saved. The believer does not
keep the law to be justified before God. The Christian keeps the
law because he is justified. The charge of Phariseeism cannot be
made to those who walk in obedience to God's Law. St. Mark 7
defines a Pharisee as one who sets aside the commandments of God
for the traditions of man. The charge of Phariseeism will not
stand as a valid argument against a Christian who walks in
obedience to God's Law. Moreover, the charge of legalism cannot
prevail against those who keep God's Law. People who seek to be
justified by law are guilty of legalism. Since we press the point
that justification is by the blood of Jesus Christ, we cannot be
charged with legalism because we exhort men to keep the Sabbath
and observe the Festivals. In summary, men who use any human
reason (rationalism) to circumvent the Law of God are living on
death row, and the nation that continues to abhor God and His Law
will be marked for judgment.

THE HOLY SABBATH AND FESTIVALS OF THE BIBLE
The God of Scripture has commanded His children to make time
relevant to Him! In the Holy Bible the Sabbath and Festival Laws
are established by Yahweh for the express purpose of making time
holy and meaningful in this present world. The children of Israel
are reminded of the brevity of their lives in this mortal state
in Psalms 39:4-5, and in Psalms 90:10 we are told that the normal
length of our days would be threescore years and ten. The
Psalmist David then exhorts Israelites to be careful with time.
"So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts
unto wisdom." When we apply the wisdom of God to the use of our
time, we will want to make our lives relevant to the Holy Sabbath
and the Festivals of the Bible. Job 7:1 asks this question: "Is
there not an appointed time to man upon earth?" What will you do
with the time Yahweh has allotted you on this earth? Will you
make time holy and relevant to the God who created you? Will you
sanctify time by keeping the Sabbath Day Holy and by keeping the
appointed Festivals ordained by Yahweh in His Word?
THE SOURCE OF YOUR FAITH
Christian people will generally designate three potential
sources as the basis for their faith and belief in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, many Christians will say that they are guided or led by
the Holy Spirit, that God speaks to them, and that they establish
the source or basis for their faith on direct communication with
Yahweh. Secondly, there are Christian people who will say that
the Church or the Minister, or both, is the source of their faith
and basis of belief. Finally, there are Christians who assert
that the Holy Bible, the Word of God, is the source of our faith
and belief about Jesus Christ and all that can be known as truth
in this world.
While no one would deny that the office, work, and person of
the Holy Spirit is active in the life of the believer, and that
the Church and the Minister play a profound role in bringing a
Christian into spiritual maturity in Jesus Christ, it is the HOLY
BIBLE, sola scriptura, that provides the ground and foundation
for our faith and belief in this present world. The Holy Bible is
the inerrant, plenary, inspired Word of God. The Bible does not
contain the Word of God; the Bible IS the Word of God! All
Scripture, Old and New Testament, is the inspired Word of God (11
Tim. 3:16-17). The Bible is the revelation of Yahweh to His
children Israel and their Law Book for all of time and eternity
(Dent. 29:29). The Holy Bible is the ground and foundation for
our belief in the Holy Sabbath and the Festivals. We believe that
these are the COMMAND WORDS of Yahweh, the God of Israel!
THE BIBLE FOUNDATION FOR SABBATH AND FESTIVAL LAWS OF THE BIBLE
The Holy Bible, both Old and New Testament of Scripture,
provides a continuity of truth regarding the Holy Sabbath, the
Festivals, and all other truth for this present world. The Bible
is a unity of truth. The Word of God is a seamless garment of
truth from Genesis to Revelation. The total amount of Scripture
devoted to a discussion of the Holy Sabbath and the Festivals of
the Covenant, which Yahweh made with His people Israel, is
prolific. It will not be possible in this booklet to treat all of
the Scripture given on this subject. Our objective is to remind
all Christians that the Word of God, both Old and New Testaments,
speaks loudly and clearly on this subject matter and Christians
who suppress, evade, or ignore these many Scriptures do so at
their own spiritual peril. All Israelites are encouraged to
explore in depth all of the Scripture that will be cited in this
booklet. Those who read them will not be able to plead ignorance
as the basis for not observing the Holy Sabbath and Festivals of
the Bible on the Day of Judgment!
A GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE FESTIVALS
The following overview of the Festivals will provide a conceptual
vision of the Festivals of the Holy Bible.
1) THE WEEKLY SABBATH
2) THE BEGINNING OF MONTHS
3) PASSOVER AND THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
4) PENTECOST
5) THE DAY OF TRUMPETS
6) THE DAY OF ATONEMENT
7) THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES
Each of the foregoing Festivals will now be briefly
discussed. These Festivals were given to the ISRAELITE people of
the Bible. They are a central part of the spiritual and racial
heritage of the Covenant people of the Bible. These Festivals
were central to the Covenant which Yahweh made with His people.
The keeping of these Festivals is to insure that Israel would
remember that they are the people of Yahweh and that He is their
God. Failure to keep these Holy Festivals results in Israelites
losing their identification as the people of the Book and falling
into spiritual blindness.
THE WEEKLY SABBATH
Essential Scripture:
Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 16:4-31, Exodus 20:811, Exodus 31:12-17,
Exodus 34:21, Exodus 35:1-3, Leviticus 23:3, Numbers 15:32-36,
Numbers 28:9, Deuteronomy 5:12-15, Nehemiah 9:14, Nehemiah 10:31,
Nehemiah 13:15-22, Isaiah 56:2, Isaiah 58:13-14, Jeremiah
17:19-27, Ezekiel 20:1-25, Amos 8:5, St. Matthew 12:1-13, St.
Matthew 28:1, St. Mark 1:21, St. Mark 2:23-28, St. Mark 3:1-6,
St. Mark 6:2, St. Mark 16:1, St. Luke 4:16, St. Luke 6:1-11, St.
Luke 13:10-17, St. Luke 14:1-6, St. Luke 23:54-56, St. John
5:1-18, St. John 7:22-24, St. John 9:13-16, Acts of the Apostles
13:14, 27, 42, 44, Acts of the Apostles 15:21, Acts of the
Apostles 16:13, Acts of the Apostles 17:2, Acts of the Apostles
18:4, Colossians 2:16, and Hebrews 4:1-9.
The WEEKLY SABBATH is central to God's plan for His
Israelite people. In Leviticus 23:1-3 we read: "And Yahweh spake
unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say
unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yahweh, which ye shall
proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six
days shall work be done, but the seventh day is the sabbath of
rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the
sabbath of Yahweh in all your dwellings." Here the command word
of Yahweh unto His people Israel is that they keep a weekly
sabbath, that they do no work on this day, and that they proclaim
a holy convocation or a public meeting for the purpose of
corporate worship of Yahweh by the people.
The WEEKLY SABBATH had its origin in Genesis 2:2-3 where we
read: "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had
made, and he rested on the seventh dayfrom all his work which he
had made. And God (Elohim) blessed the seventh day, and
sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work
which God (Elohim) created and made." Here the command word of
Yahweh established the seventh day of the week as the day which
was blessed and sanctified and set apart as being holy unto
Yahweh. The seventh day was blessed, it was sanctified, it marked
a time of rest, it marked the end of the creative work of Elohim,
and it was the day designated by the Creator to be Holy unto
Yahweh.
The WEEKLY SABBATH is a sign established between Yahweh and
His people Israel forever. We read in Exodus 31:12-13, 17: "And
Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the
children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for
it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that
ye may know that 1 am Yahweh that doth sanctify you... It is a
sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six
days Yahweh made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he
rested, and was refreshed." Here the Word establishes that the
Sabbath was given to Israel as a sign between them and Yahweh
forever. Moreover, the keeping of the Sabbath was to be a primary
means of sanctifying the people unto Yahweh. The Weekly Sabbath
is central to the Covenant calling of the Israelite people and is
intended to mark and identify the people of Yahweh throughout all
generations.
The Holy Scriptures clearly teach all Christians to keep
Holy the Sabbath Day. The fourth of the Ten Commandments
declares: "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days
shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is
the sabbath of Yahweh thy Elohim; in it thou shalt not do any
work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man servant, nor
thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within
thy gates: For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea,
and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore
Yahweh blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." (Exodus
20:8-11). Here the keeping of the Holy Sabbath is commanded by
Yahweh to be observed as part of the Covenant Law of His people
Israel. The Sabbath was designated to be on the seventh day, was
blessed, and was to be hallowed. It was to follow six days of
work and to be a rest unto the people of Yahweh.
The New Covenant does not break the continuity of the
keeping of the WEEKLY SABBATH. Hebrews 4:9 reads: "There
remaineth therefore a rest (Greek Sabbatismos or Sabbaton) to the
people of God." In Colossians 3:16, St.Paul warns those who will
be Christian to not allow themselves to be judged for failure to
keep the sabbath, along with other commands of Scripture. "Let no
man therefore JUDGE YOU in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an
holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" (Emphasis
ours.) If the world is to judge Christians, let it not be for
their failure to keep the command word of Jesus Christ.
The God of Scripture speaks an unchanging and infallible
word of truth (Psalms 33:11, Malachi 3:16, Psalms 111:7-8,
Hebrews 13:8, and James 1:17). The Sabbath is an eternal Law of
Yahweh and is forever. The WEEKLY SABBATH will be observed in the
Kingdom to come (Isaiah 66:22-23, Ezekiel 46:1-4). The Holy
Sabbath was designed for the children of Israel in time and after
time! We ignore or suppress this law at our own spiritual peril.
We are judged as a people on the basis of our failure to keep the
Holy Sabbath (Ezekiel, Chapter 20). Jesus Christ observed the
Holy Sabbath; the apostles, disciples, and early Christians
observed the seventh day of rest. St. Paul, the apostle, observed
the Holy Sabbath. Likewise, all modern day Christians are to
observe this day; they are to keep holy the Sabbath, and they are
to remember that the Sabbath was made for man and not make it the
object of their worship. The keeping of the Holy Sabbath is not
intended to become bound in legalism and lengthy rules written by
carnal men. Both the letter and the spirit of this Weekly Sabbath
Law are to be observed. Acts of mercy and kindness are to be
performed on the Holy Sabbath. Public Worship is commanded on
this Holy Day. Rest is enjoined and no work on this day is
permitted. The Holy Sabbath is not be become a fetish, however.
It is imperative that the true spirit of this law be observed.
Christians must keep this day in the manner set forth by
Jesus Christ, his apostles and disciples, and great care must be
exercised not to violate the purpose and spirit of this Holy Day.
The keeping of the WEEKLY SABBATH will have tremendous
implications for the remnant living in the time period
immediately preceding the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. During
the time of increased tribulation, commonly known as a time when
the Mark of the Beast will prevail, the Scripture teaches us that
obedience to the commandments of God will be the means by which
God's people are able to survive. Revelation 14:12 declares:
"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the
commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Obedience to the
WEEKLY SABBATH will have profound implications for the remnant
during increased times of tribulation.
Finally, it is important to note that unlimited benefits are
to be derived from keeping the Sabbath Day holy unto Yahweh. The
blessings are material and spiritual. The keeping of the Seventh
Day will bring about tremendous spiritual and physical blessings
for the Covenant people. We are to live our lives in the rhythn
of the weekly sabbath. Every Sabbath we are to find our rest in
Jesus Christ; we are to perform acts of love, mercy, and
kindness; we are to worship Yahweh; we are to occupy ourselves
with things that are holy, spiritual, and which glorify God and
assist our neighbor. Perhaps the words of Isaiah 58:13-14 are
appropriate to end our discussion of the blessings promised to
those who keep the Seventh Day Holy unto Yahweh:
"If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy
pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy
of Yahweh, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own
ways, nor find thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Then shaft thou delight thyself in Yahweh; and I will cause thee
to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the
heritage of Jacob thy father; for the mouth of Yahweh hath spoken
it."
WHY WE KEEP THE HOLY SABBATH ON THE SEVENTH DAY
1) We keep the Sabbath holy because we are commanded to do so in
the Holy Bible. (Exodus 20:8-11, Hebrews 4:9, St. John 14:15, 21,
23-24, 1 John 2:2-3, 1 John 5:1-3)
2) We keep the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week because
this is the day Yahweh sanctified, blessed, hallowed, and marked
as the Sabbath Day. (Genesis 2:2-3)
3) By keeping the Sabbath on the seventh day, we honor the
original design for this special and sacred day of rest. (Genesis
2:23, Exodus 20:8-11, Deuteronomy 5:12-15)
4) The Biblical Sabbath "marks" Israel as a people in the earth.
(Ezekiel 20:20)
5) The Holy Sabbath represents a perpetual covenant between God
and Israel. (Exodus 31:16)
6) The Holy Sabbath is a sign, a mark, a seal of the covenant
existing between Yahweh and His Israel peole. (Exodus 31:12,17)
7) Keeping the Sabbath marks Israel as a "peculiar" people.
(Exodus 19:5-6)
8) The Weekly Sabbath harmonizes with the annual Festivals of the
Bible to make time Holy. (Leviticus, Chapter 23)
9) Keeping the Holy Sabbath marks Yahweh as the Creator of heaven
and earth. (Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 20:11)
10) Keeping the Holy Sabbath celebrates Israel's deliverance and
redemption as a people. (Deuteronomy 5:15)
11) Keeping the Holy Sabbath is a reminder that man is to work
the other six days of the week. (Exodus 20:8-11, Deuteronomy
5:12-15)
12) Keeping the Holy Sabbath confirms the unchangeable and
infallible Word of God. (Psalms 33:11, Malachi 3:6, James 1:17.
and Hebrews 13:8)
13) We keep the Holy Sabbath because it is on this day that
Israel was commanded to hold a holy convocation. (Leviticus 23:3)
14) We keep the Holy Sabbath to maintain a clear conscience
before God. (Acts 24:16)
15) We keep the Holy Sabbath to sanctify time and make it Holy
unto Yahweh. (Genesis 2:2-3)
16) We keep the Holy Sabbath as a part of the Divine hedge that
protects the people of God in this earth. (Job 1:1,10)
17) Keeping the Sabbath draws a line between the church and the
world. (I John 2:15)
18) Keeping the Sabbath represents the straight gate and the
narrow way. (St. Matthew 7:13-14)
19) Keeping the Sabbath represents a penitent spirit, a broken
will, and a heart that is in repentance.
20) We build spiritual and physical health in our spirit, soul,
and body by keeping the Sabbath Day holy.
21) We keep the Sabbath Day in order to be in rhythm and harmony
with Yahweh, His Word, and the universe that He created.
22) We keep the Sabbath Day because it is a test of our obedience
and commitment to Yahweh.
23) We keep the Sabbath Day because in it we find our rest in
Jesus Christ, His shed blood, and our weekly reminder of the
Kingdom which is to come. (St.Luke 4:16-19)
24) We keep the Sabbath Day as a confirmation of our coming out
of Babylon. (Revelation 18:4)
25) We keep the Sabbath because we are promised that we will ride
upon the high places of the earth and feed with the heritage of
Jacob. (Isaiah 58:13-14)
26) We keep the Holy Sabbath as a part of the Divine sealing that
will protect the elect from the Mark of the Beast. (Exodus 13:9,
16, Deuteronomy 6:8, 11:18, Revelation 13:16-18, 14:7-12)
27) We keep the Holy Sabbath as a vital part of the commandments
that will lead us into life eternal. (St.Matthew 19:17)
28) We keep the Holy Sabbath on the seventh day as confirmation
of the self-denial of the human intellect and will. (St.Luke
9:23, Isaiah 55:8-9)
29) We keep the Holy Sabbath in remembrance that only those who
do the will of their Father which is heaven can enter the Kingdom
of God. (St.Matthew 7:21-23)
30) We keep the Holy Sabbath in remembrance that Jesus Christ
kept Sabbath on the seventh day. (St.Luke 4:16)
31) We keep the Holy Sabbath because the Sabbath was given to
Israel and we, being Israel, must claim our inheritance and
responsibility unto God.
32) We keep the Sabbath because we are made "special" unto Yahweh
only when we become a "peculiar" people. If you are like everyone
else, you are not peculiar and therefore not "special" unto
Yahweh. Keeping Sabbath on the seventh day makes you "peculiar"
and therefore "special".
THOUGHTS AND REFLECTIONS ABOUT THE SEVENTH DAY
1) The seventh day of the sacred week marked, sanctified, and
blessed this day as Yahweh's day or as some would say the Lord's
day. (Genesis 2:2-3)
2) God rested on the seventh day. On this day His children find
their physical and spiritual rest in Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 4:9)
3) The seventh day was the day which Yahweh blessed. The English
word "bless" in Genesis 2:3 is from the Hebrew "baw-rak" and
means to kneel, to bless God, to praise and salute Him. We are to
worship and praise Yahweh on the seventh day in public worship.
4) God sanctified the seventh day and set it apart from the other
six days of the week. (Genesis 2:2-3)
5) When we keep the seventh day, we become sanctified and set
apart from the world.
6) The sacred week was established as a seven day cycle at
Creation. (See Genesis 1 and 2)
7) Apart from the Genesis record in the Holy Bible, the
measurement of the weekly cycle cannot be known.
8) The division of time into increments of seven days can be
traced through history to the Adamic-Hebrew- Israelite people and
no other race on earth.
9) Authorities concur that while the calendars of the western
world have been changed and re-calibrated, the sacred weekly
cycle of seven days has never been altered. The day we now call
Sunday has always been the first day, and Saturday the seventh
day of the weekly cycle. This is true under both the Gregorian
calendar (A.D. 1582) and the Julian calendar (B.C. 45).
10) The English word "week" in Hebrew denotes seven. In Greek the
word "week" is sabbaton, or day of weekly repose from work. The
word "week" cannot be separated from the word "Sabbath" and
"seventh". Without the Sabbath of the seventh day, the week as a
measurement of time has no relevance.
11) God numbered the days of the week, but He named the seventh
day -- The Sabbath!
12) The seventh day has never been lost to God or to history.
Jesus Christ lived under the Julian calendar of B.C. 45. The
seventh day of the week on the Julian calendar is the same day we
call Saturday (seventh day of the week under the Gregorian
calendar).
13) Yahweh withheld manna on the seventh day when Israel was in
the Sinai Wilderness. The day of the week which Israel kept as
the Sabbath was important to the Creator of heaven and earth.
(Exodus, Chapter 16)
14) The prophet Ezekiel warned Israel not to pollute the Holy
Sabbath. (Ezekiel 20:13,16,21)
15) The Israelites were admonished for profaning the Holy
Sabbath. (Ezekiel 22:8)
16) Ministers were warned not to close their eyes to the Holy
Sabbaths. (Ezekiel 22:26)
17) Judah was told that keeping the Sabbath holy would have
withheld God's judgment from the land. (Jeremiah 17:24-25)
18) Yahweh's judgment came upon Israel for desecration of the
Sabbath day. (Numbers 15:32-36)
19) The observance of the Holy Sabbath was established as the 4th
commandment. (Exodus 20:8-11)
20) Jesus Christ declared that we expressed our love to Him by
keeping the commandments. (St.John 14:15 and 1 John 2:2-3)
21) Christians of the New Testament kept the Sabbath after the
resurrection on the seventh day. (St.Luke 23:55-56)
22) St. Paul observed the Sabbath on the seventh day in A.D. 53.
(Acts 17:2)
23) Gentile converts from dispersed Israel observed the seventh
day as Sabbath. (Acts 13:42, Acts 13:44-48, Acts 18:1,4,11)
24) Jesus Christ warned that in the tribulations of this world,
Christians should be careful not to make their flight on the
Sabbath (seventh day). (St.Matthew 24:20)
25) For God's people there remains a "rest" on the seventh day
(Hebrews 4:9). The English word "rest" in Hebrews 4:9 is the
weekly repose of the Holy Sabbath in the Greek language.
26) The final call to all Christians is to keep the commandments
of God that we might enter into the gates of the Holy City.
(Revelation 22:14)
27) Can Israel ever be in true covenant relationship without
keeping the 4th commandment?
28) If all the Biblical Festivals of Israel were counterfeited,
do you believe the Holy Sabbath was ever counterfeited? Is Sunday
the Sabbath or the counterfeit?
29) The Sabbath is a national covenant which Yahweh made with His
people Israel. (Exodus 31:12-16)
30) There is something about the commandments (and the Sabbath
commandment in particular) that seals the Christian into a
covenant relationship and provides protection from the Mark of
the Beast. (See all the sealing scriptures in the Bible.)
