FEAST OF TABERNACLES 2009
BRANSON, MO, USA
It was a blessed Feast for the TWO most important reasons. I
was to meet for the first time in the flesh, two dear persons in
the present day Church of God, Lynn and Tara. It was a joy to
spend time with them during this 2009 Feast of Tabernacles. We
had good fellowship, some good times doing nice things in this
Branson area of the USA.
It was though a sweet/bitter Feast of Tabernacles. The sweet
I've mentioned. The bitter ......
I went to services both with the UNITED Church of God and
the LIVING Church of God.
First. It was very evident by the "white heads" - thin and
bald heads, that the majority are elderly in both organizations.
I would say that if this age goes for another 20 years, these two
Church of God organizations will be on the way of dying out -
literally. The record in the parent organization from whence
comes these two groups, is not good at all, for keeping the
children, once becoming adults, "in the church."
Second. The song books used by both organizations are based
upon the idea of Herbert W. Armstrong, that the songs sung had to
be either from the Psalms or others devised of their fellowship
people, but certainly NOT the popular hymns used by Christian
religion. I'll lay it on the line and be very blunt, the melody
of most of the songs in the two hymnals of these two
organizations, are TERRIBLE and UN-inspiring - it was DIFFICULT
to sing them, and did anything but UPLIFT me during an eight day
period that is to be inspiring, joyful, and UPLIFTING! This idea
of being OUTSIDE the box of popular Christianity is good in many
respects when it comes to understanding the Word of the Lord and
living by it, BUT to carry this over into a "hymnal" and just
ignore all the wonderful melodic melodies and very fine words
(for the most part, and the other part anyone can change) of
hymns that have been written down through the centuries, is to
me, off the wall, and out in planet Pluto range (which some say
is not a planet anymore).
Third. And this is the MOST SERIOUS ERROR of all! BOTH
groups are STILL "hung up" with Herbert W. Armstrong. The LIVING
Church of God much more so than the UNITED Church of God. They
carry Herbert Armstrong around on their back. They are STUCK in a
TIME WARP MACHINE! They have a monkey on their back and seem to
be happy with it being so. It's the mistake that the Roman
Catholic church makes with its POPE! It's the mistake the SDA
church makes with its Ellen White! It's the same mistake the
Mormons makes with Joseph Smith and the book of Mormon. It's the
same mistake that the Jehovah Witnesses make with Russell. It's
the same mistake that Protestants and Protestant fundamentalists
make with "idolizing" this or that preacher, setting them up to
be some "great" teacher of the Bible.
The LIVING and the UNITED cannot see passed Herbert W.
Armstrong. They still have not come to REPENT of the errors and
false mind-set that HWA moved into in the last decades of his
life. The mind-set of the LAODICEAN church (Revelation 2 and 3)
is truly DOING WELL TODAY! IT IS VERY HEALTHY! IT IS ALIVE AND
WELL! And true to form, the people CANNOT SEE it. They think they
are FINE and in GOOD shape!
LISTEN to what is written:
"These things says the Amen ... I know your works, that you are
neither hot or cold ... so then because you are lukewarm ... I
will spue you out of my mouth. Because you say, 'I am RICH, and
INCREASED with goods, and have NEED for NOTHING. You do NOT KNOW
that you are WRETCHED and MISERABLE, and POOR, and BLIND, and
NAKED!! I counsel you to BUY of me GOLD tried in the fire, that
you may be RICH, and WHITE raiment, that you may be CLOTHED ...
ANOINT YOUR EYES WITH EYESLAV, THAT YOU MAY ***SEE***!!"
(Revelation 3:14-18).
The Eternal goes on to say that He stands at the DOOR AND
KNOCKS! If any will OPEN He will come IN and eat with them!
What do I have to do? How do I have to shout? How often do I
have to proclaim it? Why is it though you are told MANY TIMES,
you will NOT LISTEN and you will NOT SEARCH the Scriptures, to
FIND the spiritual sight to see that you are NOT RICH in
spiritual understanding, that you ARE BLIND, that your eyes have
become HEAVY that you will NOT SEE, that your HEARTS have become
hardened to having the LOVE OF THE TRUTH! What must I do? Must I
come to sit next to you and SHOUT in your ears, before you will
TREMBLE before the WORD of the Lord, and be CORRECTED? I am
coming before you, I am sitting next to you, I am OPENING UP the
Word of the Lord to you, YOU HAVE IT BEFORE YOU! You have at this
time, this WEBSITE able to come to you each and every day. I am
sitting before you, the Word of the Eternal is spoken to you. The
TRUTH of the Lord can be found, but YOU friend, must WANT IT,
LOVE IT, DESIRE IT, HUNGER FOR IT, THIRST FOR IT, SEEK IT OUT AS
A PEARL IN THE PIG SWILL of the world and its many false
religions.
The CHURCH OF GOD is not without its closed eyes, its
hardened heart, its falsehoods and errors given out by leaders of
the past and present who fulfilled the very prophecy of the
apostle Paul as found in Acts 20:17-30. They would come and in
time their vanity would lead them to speak perverse things, and
to draw away disciples after themselves.
This is EXACTLY what people like Herbert W. Armstrong DID!
They not only began to teach false theology, but indeed wanted
MANY to FOLLOW them, set them up as ICONS, make IDOLATRY as part
of the Church of God. Such IDOLATRY is ALL AROUND us in the
Christian religion. Down through history people have always been
making "men" or "women" as some "great one" - setting them up on
pedestals, putting them between God and TRUTH. Then they no
longer have the desire to GROW IN GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE, they stop
hungering and thirsting for righteousness. THEY BECOME PART OF
THE CHURCH AT LAODICEA!!
SO I WILL. SO I MUST ... SHOUT IT ONCE MORE!! YOU
PEOPLE IN THE ORGANIZATIONS WHERE YOU HAVE HERBERT W.
ARMSTRONG AS THE MONKEY ON YOUR BACK, AS THE WEIGHT THAT
DRAGS YOU DOWN INTO THE DARKNESS OF THE SEA. ONCE GOD
WINKED AT, MAYBE IN THE LAST HALF OF THE 1980S AND THE
1990S, BUT NOW HE COMMANDS EVERY PERSON EVERYWHERE TO
***REPENT*** AND TO SET THEMSELVES FREE. GOD SAYS IT IS
THE TRUTH THAT SHALL SET YOU FREE! THIS WEBSITE IS
DEVOTED TO THE RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS, TO GIVING YOU
THE TRUTHS OF THE LORD.
I PRAY YOU WILL HAVE THE HEART TO WANT TO DISCOVER
TRUTH FROM ERROR, RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM SIN, LIGHT FROM
DARKNESS. IF YOU DESIRE TO KNOW THE WAY OF THE GOD,
JESUS PROMISED THE SPIRIT WOULD THEN INDEED LEAD YOU
INTO ALL TRUTH! CLAIM THAT PROMISE FRIENDS AND YOU WILL
KNOW WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!
