God's Plan for Sex

When He wants you to enjoy it

                            GOD'S PLAN FOR SEX
By Craig Moore
One of the hardest things for Christian youth to talk about
with their parents is sex. This is becoming a real problem,
because God's plan for sex is not taught. Instead, Satan's plan
is being substituted by peers and sources outside of
Christianity. This can cause an abundance of problems, ranging
from impure thoughts, to pornography, to sexual addiction. When
God's plan for sex is understood to the fullest, these problems
can be prevented for the most part. Still, knowledge is only the
first step in deterring sexual problems, it is not a fix all, but
I believe that it will help youth to make good decisions in their
relationships.
Everyone in a dating relationship will have to make
decisions about physical boundaries. Where is the line in a
dating relationship? In my personal opinion, kissing should be
avoided. In my mind, I see kissing as the gate to sex. It causes
such emotion and stirs up our adrenaline so much, that the next
steps are easy to take, and hard to prevent. In my opinion, hugs
are as far as anyone should go outside of marriage.
God's plan for sex is very simple and easy to understand:
two people, a man and a woman, coming together as one in the
unity of marriage. Sex is the physical side of this emotional
connection and marriage commitment. When all relationships prior
to marriage have been healthy, this connection is truly the
blessing that God intended, pure and untainted.
God's plan for sex is very simple and easy to understand:
two people, a man and a woman, coming together as one in the
unity of marriage.
God intends for us to have happy and fulfilling lives and
shows us the way to do that, through His word and direction. Sex
outside of God's will has consequences: guilt, regret, stress,
financial burden, being tied down, etc. God doesn't want that for
us. Jesus said that He wants us to be free, but we have to obey
Him in order to have that freedom. In John 8:31-32, it says,
"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, 'If ye
continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye
shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free'" (KJV).
It goes on to say later, that if you commit sin, you are a
slave to sin (See John 8:34). It is your choice.
The joy of knowing that your spouse was a virgin before
marriage is a great gift. It allows the wedding night to have a
special meaning that would be lost otherwise. God wants all to
have this experience on their wedding night, the way He intended.
It is God's wedding gift to you. Think on this: the Creator
of the universe made a way to give a special wedding present to
you. Do you want to throw that gift away?
