CHRISTIANITY is not a voice in the wilderness, but a life in the world. It is not an idea in the air but feet on the ground, going God's way. It is not an exotic to be kept under glass, but a hardy plant to bear twelve months of fruit in all kinds of weather. Fidelity to duty is its root and branch. Nothing we can say to the Lord, no calling Him by great or dear names, can take the place of plain doing His will.

We may cry out about the beauty of eating bread with Him in His kingdom, but it is wasted breath and a rootless hope, unless we plow and plant in His kingdom here and now. To remember Him at His table and to forget Him at ours, is to have invested in bad securities. There is no substitute for plain, every-day goodness.

The Amazing Gift of Grace

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I am found
Was blind but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears allayed
How precious did that grace appear
When I His Word o-beyed

Thru many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Twas grace that bro't me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home.

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun

The Song, "Amazing Grace," gives us quite an insight into the meaning of grace. What better way to start off a study on the subject? In that spirit we wish the reader: "Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord." 2 Peter 1:2

The body of Christ, i.e. the "church", was to bring healing to those God has called through the truth of the gospel. The Apostle Paul stated it this way: "Through Him and for His name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith." Rom. 1:5 We received grace that we might call the rebellious and lawless to obedience. We want to show every reader the hope they have of salvation, and the healing it brings. So, what is this amazing thing called grace?

In a nutshell, salvation and healing is open to those who accept the call to turn from their wicked ways, believe in what Christ accomplished through His death, burial and resurrection and accept His simple plan for salvation. Simple, but life-changing.

Isaiah spoke of a fact Christians must face and be prepared to accept when they try to reach out to "the wicked" with God's grace. "Though grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and regard not the majesty of the LORD." Isa. 26:10 It is sometimes hard to accept, but not all people will want to be "saved."

There are those who are so far gone in their deception and wickedness that they reject the truth. For this reason God sends them a deluding influence that they might believe what is false so that they might be judged (I Thes. 2:10-12). It was these people for which the Law of God was designed for. (I Tim 1:8-10) And in the case of Homosexuality the Law demands death. (Lev. 20:13)

We must remember that it was God who gave them over to a depraved mind and it is only He who can save them. We have sinned against Him for failing to teach people to fear the Lord and to obey His commandments by not enforcing them as a society. This is the same as "giving hearty approval" to those who do wickedness as Paul talks about in Romans 1:28-32. We all must turn back to God and repent of our sins if we hope to escape the judgment He has brought upon our nation.

Today, Christians have failed to keep and enforce God's Law in society and are reaping the due curses for such failure (Deut 28:15-48). They have failed to make America a "land of uprightness" and thus embolden the wicked to enforce their morality on society. A Law isn't real unless it is enforced. If sin is a transgression of God's Law (I John 3:4), but that Law is not enforced, why should anyone fear God and repent?

Christians must continue to work to have God's Laws implemented as the "laws of the land." If we claim to "love" God we must obey His commandments. (John 14:15). Only when we accomplish this will we have a government that fits the one described in Romans 13. One where the rulers will no longer be a fear to those who do good (obey God) but rather to those who do evil. The only authority Christians are allowed to obey is the one who upholds the ordinances (laws) of God.

We believe that the current government we have over us is our punishment for our lack of action in maintaining Christ's dominion in "Christian" America. We first need to repent of this failure, if we ever expect God to grant us grace and "heal our land" as He promised He would do in II Chron 7:14

For some time now this writer has struggled with the concept of grace and why Christ our King would command us to forgive those who trespass (sin) against us, as we ask for forgiveness of our sins. A distinction that is rarely made among most professing Christians is who we are allowed to forgive. It did not say that we had the authority to forgive those who sin against God. We can only petition our Father in Heaven to grant them a spirit of repentance and forgive those who sin against Him. That is the extent of our authority. God's gift of grace to the repentant (surrendered) sinner is only His to give. Christians must uphold His Law, so that order and obedience might abound, rather than anarchy and lawlessness.

Can Homosexuals escape the penalty of death? We know that grace must be open to the repentant homosexual because of verses such as 1 Cor 6:9-11: "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Cor. 6:9-11

It would seem, from this verse, that those who repented and found salvation were once guilty of the above sins, including homosexuality. Those who have "ears to hear" deserve the opportunity to hear of the rewards of surrendering in repentance to Christ. This would include the sincere, repentant homosexual.

Christians must let those who make themselves out to be enemies of God realize the penalty they face if they continue to defy the FatherYahweh and His Son, the ChristYahshua. But we must also let His enemies know of the pardon that can be theirs and the rewards that await them for changing their ways and surrendering to Him. Most criminals (sinners) will be more inclined to change their ways if we give them a way to escape the penalty they face.

God gave criminals a way out of their pending destruction. So, how can we claim this gift? The first step is a desire to live and love. It takes a realization of the penalty they face and a desire to live before a condemned criminal would desire to change their ways (repent) and seek a pardon (grace). This is a hard thing for homosexuals to do. They have been taught that their criminal behavior is "normal," and to turn all the guilt, hurt and hatred they feel onto those who represent the only "Way" to their salvation. What they need to know is that lust fades away and dies but life and love is through Christ and endures forever for those who love Him and seek His will.

The next step is a humble surrender. "He scoffs at the scoffers but gives grace to the humble." Prov. 3:34. Anyone who mocks God can be assured that He sits back in the heavens and laughs at them. But to those who surrender to Him, God is faithful and offers His love and forgiveness to the repentant.

Repentance means a surrender and a change of our ways. Repentance to God is, "no longer my will Lord, but Yours be done." Humility and repentance speak the loudest when they are put into action. In a previous issue we reported on several groups and counselors who are helping homosexuals turn straight. (Write for "Love Overcomes All," Issue, #3) True humility and repentance would desire to seek out this help and prove our love sincere. "Love must be sincere, hate what is evil, cling to that which is good." Romans 12:9

While you are seeking help, pray. You can start with the simple prayer: "Lord, teach us to pray" Luke 11:1 Pray for guidance, forgiveness, grace and strength to overcome your old ways and learn His. Surround yourself with people who will help you learn God's ways. It is important that you learn of what you must do to contact the blood of Christ and be forgiven of your sins. The answer is in His Word. Only His Word is true, and not every sincere person who call themselves a "Christian" know the way to salvation. We must search out the answer for ourselves. It is your life, you better check out everything you are told against the whole of God's Word. "Study to show thyself approved". Where do we start in our search for salvation? "In Him (Christ) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace" Eph. 1:7 If we have redemption in Him and forgiveness through Christ's blood, how do we get "in Christ" and contact His blood?

The Law states, "all things are cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." Hebrews 9:22 Someone's blood must be shed to cleanse the sins. Christ bled and died so that His blood could cleanse the sins of many. He took the place of all of us who were condemned to death and made it possible for His life's blood to pay the price for our sins. How can we contact the shed blood of Christ for the forgiveness of our sins?

In 1st Peter 3:18, we read that Christ died for sins once and for all, and that He, the just, took our place, the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, "having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit." And John gives us a clue on how we can identify with what Christ accomplished for us when he said in John 3:5 that "unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Paul gave us a picture of how this can be done in Romans 6:1-11. "Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore you have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life." So, how does being baptized into Christ's death correlate with being born of water and the Spirit?

When we realize that the word "baptism" in the Greek means "immersion" it gets easier to understand the meaning of the act of baptism. We can now see baptism as an immersion into a watery grave (i.e. buried with Christ) and as we come up out of the water (resurrection out of the grave) we are "born again" into newness of life.

In Acts 2:38, Peter describes the way to forgiveness of sins and how we receive the Spirit: "Repent and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Baptism is our death, burial and resurrection into a "newness of life" and through it we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God" Eph. 2:8 We must understand that it isn't anything we do that "saves us". Baptism saves us because it is an appeal of faith to God (through belief in the workings of God) to raise us up into a new life, guided by His Holy Spirit, just as He raised Christ from the dead. (I Peter 3:22)

Maybe when we realize the truth and purpose of baptism for salvation will we begin to better understand the words written in Matt.16:25. "For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it." Upon putting to death our old selves, through baptism, we are granted new life in Christ. By becoming prisoners/servant of Christ we become free from death.

There are many false teachers in the world that would lead us astray from God's simple plan of salvation. They are those who would turn grace into license to continue in their criminal sin. We even hear of so called "Christian" churches ordaining and accepting unrepentant homosexuals. Paul asked a pointed question of such teachings in Rom. 6:1,2 "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?" and again in Rom. 6:15 "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!" It should be common sense that if there was true repentance there would not be a willing continuation in sin.

Jude warned us of those who would do this: "For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord." Jude 4 We deny Christ when we willingly continue in our sins. May we ferret out these unbelievers and teach them to fear the Lord!

It is very important that we stop these false teachers. How they are to be dealt with I'll leave to you, the reader, to decide after reading Hebrews 10:29 "How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?"

Let it be a warning to those who might think to fake a conversion to sneak in among the Christian body to do harm. God can discern their heart's true intentions and will make them known to His faithful whom He has promised to protect.

We hope this short study will be a good start for those who truly desire to save others who have not yet come into the saving grace of Christ, our King. The road is narrow that leads to life, but the rewards are great. Realize that this is just the beginning of a new life and that there is much more to learn, experience and enjoy in our new lives in Christ.

Keep firm in the faith, be strong and continue to: "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." - 2Pet. 3:18

TWO DIVISIONS OF SOCIETY

There are two methods of human activity and according to which one of these two kinds of activity people mainly follow, are there two kinds of people; one use their reason to learn what is good and what is bad and they act according to this knowledge; the other act as they want to and then they use their reason to prove that that which they did was good and that which they didn't do was bad.

Law and Justice

All law and order, all society, rests upon some legal authority. There must be a source or foundation for the laws and jurisprudence of a nation. All different modes of law and justice have been devised, yet after thousands of years of struggle along these lines the world has failed to find any system of law and justice which can compare with that which is taught in the Bible.

Human legal systems come and go and are continually in the process of reform and change, but the eternal principles of justice, truth and righteousness established by God for man are unchanged. They have endured the test of time by way of their proven effectiveness. Thus, all equitable codes of jurisprudence are founded upon Biblical teachings and principles, and indeed must conform to them, as Sir William Blackstone well says: No human laws are of any validity, if contrary to the law of God (1 Bl. Comm. 40)

Blackstone further stipulates that human laws are only declaratory of , and act in subordination to, divine laws; and should any law command us to do what divine law has prohibited, we are bound to transgress that human law. (1 Bl. Comm. 42-43). Man's observance of divine law is essential in his moral conduct, economic well-being, and social order, just as the physical laws are essential in an orderly universe.

The Bible contains those precepts and commands which constitute the legal and moral authority to guide human conduct. There is no doubtful authority contained in the words: "Thus saith the LORD." This is the authority all law and justice must be founded upon. Biblical justice consists of an exact and scrupulous regard for the rights of others, with a deliberate purpose to preserve them on all occasions sacred and inviolate, and for the perpetual disposition to render every man his due.

The Bible also contains many rules, regulations and laws for the creation, maintenance and enforcement of oaths and contracts, which are essential acts for both conducting daily business and in administering justice. Laws of Biblical society held that one who had undertaken a duty or obligation, in legal form, must fully and exactly perform it, at all regards. If a man acted, he did so at his own risk. It was his duty to keep his eyes open and abide by the consequences of his agreement and the law of the land.

Biblical justice stresses the importance of requiring two or more witnesses in order to condemn a person of some offense. In Biblical law, as it is today, it is mandatory that witnesses give their testimony in the presence of the accused and that they testify by oath.

Law and justice are to exist as fixed and standard rules. They never were to be determined by what any individual or Judge believed was right or wrong, good or bad; but by what was right and wrong according to what God established: You shall not follow other gods (ways, laws, etc.)...You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He commanded you. And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, that it may be well with you." (Deut. 6:14-18)

With the law established, it is imperative it be publicized, for it has been a recognized maxim throughout the ages that: A law is not obligatory unless it be promulgated. When God gave Israel the law, He verbally pronounced it to them (Exod. 20). Later He had Moses pronounce the laws to the people (Exod. 24:3). If the law was not made public, and instead placed directly in the 'Ark of the Covenant' (which no one was allowed to touch), the people would never have been obliged to keep the law.

That we might not be ignorant of the law and justice God requires of us, He had performed one of His greatest works the recording of His word on these matters in the Bible and preserving that word throughout the ages.

DO SOMETHING

Observe what St. Paul did at Athens. He did something. He was not the man to stand still and "confer with flesh and blood" in the face of a city full of idols. He might have reasoned with himself that he stood alone; that he was a Jew by birth; that he was a stranger in a strange land; that he had to oppose the rooted prejudices and old associations of learned men; that to attack the old religion of a whole city was to beard a lion in his den; that the doctrines of the Gospel were little likely to be effective on minds steeped in Greek philosophy. But none of these thoughts seem to have crossed the mind of St. Paul.

He saw souls perishing; he felt that life was short, and time passing away; he had confidence in the power of his Master's message to meet every man's soul; he had received mercy himself, and knew not how to hold his peace. He acted at once, and what his hand found to do he did with all his might. Oh, that we had more men of action in these days!

HANDBOOK OF CIVILIZATION: The Bible

The Bible has made an ineffaceable impression upon child life. Upon its poets have fed their genius. Its thoughts lie like threads of gold upon the rich pages of each Macaulay or Burke. Orators have quoted from it so largely that we may say that, in proportion as men are cultured, have they been students of the Bible. Today its moral principles form the very substance and body of modern law and jurisprudence.

For centuries it has been the book for patriots and reformers; it has been the slave's book; it has been the book for the common people struggling upward; it has been the book of hope for all prodigals; it has been a medicine book for the heart-broken, while its ideas furnish goals for society's future progress. For the individual it teaches the art of individual worth, and is a guide to conduct and character. For the state it is a handbook of universal civilization.

The King James Bible

It is humorous to hear people claim only one "translation" of the Bible as true . They often uphold the King James Bible. Though, when we look at who King James was, after whom the Bible was named, we might want to reassess our confident assertions. The King James, as with any other TRANSLATION by fallible men is going to be full of errors. It is not perfect, as anyone who cares to compare it with the original languages in which it was written will find.

The following information comes from a footnote by Nord Davis, Jr in the newsletter, Off My Chest (#94), Box 129, Topton, N.C. 28781 "This is not the first time that governments have been run by open homosexuals. In 1603, England's Queen Elizabeth I died. Her cousin, James Stuart, who at that time had been King James IV of Scotland, became King James I of England. King James I, after whom the "King James Bible Translation" is dedicated, was both a Roman Catholic and a flaming homosexual. King James preferred young boys to adult women. As written in the Introduction to the 1599 Edition of the Geneva Bible by Michael H. Brown, "his activities in that regard have been recorded in numerous books and public records, so much so that there is no room for debate on the subject. (See James I, Passim by Otto J. Scott).

Although fundamental Protestants have accepted today many of the Roman Catholic doctrines [which was the purpose of that translation in the first place], they would be the first to throw such a sodomite out of their congregations. Most, however, would not approve of the execution of this sodomite as called for by Almighty God's Holy Law. In short, King James I was the kind of despicable creature who honorable men loathed, Christians should not associate with, and whom the Bible itself orders to be put to death. NWD"

Christ

He is a path, if any be misled;
He is a robe, if any naked be;
If any chance to hunger, He is bread;

To dead men life He is, to sick men health;
To blind men sight, and to the needy wealth;
A pleasure without loss, A treasure without stealth.

Sodomites in the Military

60's radical David Horowitz was once devoted to subverting and overturning all of America's fundamental institutions and he has said, "We were successful with all the institutions but the military." Welcoming gays into the military, he adds, "will finish the job on the last traditional American institution."

The Uniform Code of Military Justice has served the fighting forces of America for over 200 years. US Military regulations have for a long time prohibited servicemen from engaging in private consensual homosexual relations. Such activity in the military is a court-martial offense in violation of Article 125 of the UCMJ. Article 125 states: (a)Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense.

(b)Any person found guilty of sodomy shall be punished as a court-martial offense. (10 U.S.C.A. sec. 925, from 70A Statutes at Large 74, Aug. 10, 1956.

While the ban service wide is a matter of Pentagon policy, in the Navy it's a matter of law. "All commanding officers and others in authority in the naval service are required...to be vigilant in inspecting the conduct of all persons who are placed under their command; to guard against and suppress all dissolute and immoral practices. It's based on naval regulations compiled by John Adams back in 1775. And that standard has, by custom and tradition, been observed in the other service branches until now.

The Clinton compromise requires military officers to NOT be vigilant in suppressing dissolute and immoral practices. They are being told, in effect, to look the other way. So long as homosexuals don't tell don't advertise themselves the military won't ask. But...

This naval regulation is not a suggestion. It is a mandate. And it is not passive; it is positively ACTIVE. It requires naval officers to "guard against" all immoral practices, and "take all necessary and proper measures" to "safeguard the morale, the physical well-being, and the general welfare" of those under their command. In fact, as you study the issue, you will find that the details of various cases of homosexual rape in the military are so horrible that it is too grotesque to put into writing. It would simply be too offensive. Order the book, "Gay's In or Out?" from your local bookstore for a mountain of facts and case histories from the military's records.

Clinton says that conduct, not status should be the key to service. New Pentagon papers show, however, that conduct is the problem. One hundred cases of punitive discharges of homosexuals show a horrific pattern of child molestation (49 percent), assaults on non consenting victims (85 percent), and senior officers using their rank to obtain sexual favors from subordinates (63 percent). Contrary to Clinton's redefintions and excuses for protecting this sort of criminal behavior the Bible solution is sure to end these criminal's "careers" of perpetrating similar crimes upon more victims.

Homosexual rape and abuse are already long- standing problems among "closet gays," although the liberal media doesn't report on it aggressively. It took major news organizations two full weeks to report the conviction of a naval petty officer who forcibly sodomized and then physically abused an 18-year-old apprentice seaman under his command and even then only the newspapers, not the TV networks ran the story. (Ed- Rape should also carry the death penalty as prescribed in Deut. 22:25-26.)

The U.S. Army's Chief of Criminal Law himself, serving in the Pentagon, wrote to Senator Sam Nunn about one recent episode, "I simmer with anger when I think of this case, and of how the American people are being misled...Gays are a danger now, and after they are emboldened by the inevitable sensitivity training that will accompany lifting the ban, more young Americans will become their victims."

America must maintain the ban on homosexuals in the military. In fact, it should strengthen it's penalty from mere court-martial to the death penalty, as is prescribed in the Bible (Lev. 20:13, Romans 1). Any sort of compromise will mean a weakening and demoralization within the ranks of the armed forces. It will hinder combat effectiveness and impair the fighting spirit of the vast majority of the armed forces. It will strain good order and discipline.

In early America, 1660, the council of the New Netherlands recorded proceedings of a sodomy case of an indentured servant and a soldier. A plea of guilty was entered against Jan Quisthout van der Linde, the soldier charged with sodomy, on June 17, and the soldier's sentence was recorded on the same day: Jan Quisthout van der Linde is to be taken to the place of execution and there stripped of his arms, his sword to be broken at his feet, and he to be then tied in a sack and cast into the river and drowned until dead. (B. O'Callaghan, ed., Calendar of Historical Manuscripts in the Office of the Secretary of State, Albany, N.Y. (Albany: Weed, 1865), p. 211)

The council also sentenced the servant boy, whom Quisthout committed sodomy upon, to be privately whipped. (Ed- should have been death also, Lev 20:13 requires the death of both)

America must not compromise on morality. America must not compromise on God's perfect Law. Homosexuality is a criminal offense. The Bible is emphatic on this point. "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done that which is detestable, they shall both surely be put to death." Lev. 20:13 Romans 1 echo's Leviticus when it calls homosexuals "vile" and "worthy of death".

The Bible also declares that God will not honor the nation that descends into sinfulness. "The wicked return to the grave, (and) all the nations that forget God." (Ps. 9:17). "The nation and kingdom that will not serve (the Lord) shall perish;...those nations shall be utterly wasted" (Isa. 60:12). "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." (Prov. 14:34)

It is time the United States enforce more than the Uniform Code of Military Justice. We should rather enforce God's eternal and perfect Law. As Christians we should pray and work for a return to God's Law as a nation. It is time to march on Washington to demand that not only military law but the "law of the Land" also be nothing more and nothing less than the enforcement of God's Law. Until this happens, America will continue to be cursed and fall further into degeneracy.

A revealing Expose' of the Strangely Perverse White House Feminists. Who Now Run America And Tell Bill Clinton What to Do

Hillary Rodham Clinton is not just co-President of the U.S.A.she's the top banana! And to help her run the big show, Hillary has brought in some very unusual feminist "talent." A motley collection never before equalled in American history, Hillary's woman friends include lesbians, sex perverts, child molesters, Christian haters, and communists.

Hillary's Hellcats unmasks the powerful White House women who are members of the Council on Foreign relations (CFR) and the Trilateral Commission. You'll also get the scoop on Hillary's feminist "bosom buddy" picked as our new IRS Commissioner, and you'll meet the strange woman chosen as our United Nations ambassador. Here are just a few of "HIllary's Hellcats" profiled in this startlingly frank expose':

The Great Conqueror

Jesus of Nazareth, without money and arms, conquered more millions than Alexander, Caesar, Mohomet, and Napoleon; without science and learning. He shed more light on things human and Divine than all philosophers and scholars combined; without the eloquence of schools. He spoke words of life as never were spoken before or since, and produced effects which lie beyond the reach of orator or poet; without writing a single line, He has set more pens in motion, and furnished themes for more sermons, orations, discussions, learned volumes, works of art, and sweet songs of praise, than the whole army of great men of ancient and modern times.

Born in a manger, and crucified as a malefactor. He now controls the destinies of the civilized world, and rules a spiritual empire which embraces one-third of the inhabitants of the globe. There never was in this world a life so unpretending, modest, and lowly in its outward form and condition, and yet producing such extraordinary effects upon all ages, nations, and classes of men.

The annals of history produce no other example of such complete and astonishing success in spite of the absence of those material, social, literary, and artistic powers and influences which are indispensable to success for a mere man.
- Schaff
