Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"indent\">God\u2019s words are so important to Him that He tells us\u00a0<strong>He will preserve them<\/strong>. And He promised that\u00a0<em>not one single letter<\/em>\u00a0would be lost! Is God able to keep His promise?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">(Circle the correct answer.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">Yes \/ No<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">God kept His promise to preserve His words.<\/p>\n<p class=\"subheadliner\">How Important Are God\u2019s Words?<\/p>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ PSALM 138:2<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c&#8230;for thou hast magnified thy ___________ above all thy name.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"indent\">Obviously, God\u2019s words are very important to Him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ JOB 23:12<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c&#8230;I have esteemed the _______________ of his mouth more than my necessary food.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"indent\">Job was right. But God\u2019s words help us live\u00a0<em>forever<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">What have we learned so far?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/watchman.news\/fr\/2021\/12\/why-the-king-james-bible-akjv-1611-is-the-perfect-word-of-god-chapter-3-god-preserved-his-words\/1261_chart\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10612\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10612\" src=\"https:\/\/watchman.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1261_chart.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/watchman.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1261_chart.jpg 440w, https:\/\/watchman.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1261_chart-300x110.jpg 300w, https:\/\/watchman.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1261_chart-18x7.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">But now we need to ask:<\/p>\n<p class=\"subheadliner\">How did God Preserve His Words?<\/p>\n<p>In Books<\/p>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ DEUTERONOMY 31:24<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAnd it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the ___________ of this law in a ___________, until they were finished,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ VERSE 26<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTake this __________ of the law, and put it in the __________ of the __________of the ___________________ of the LORD&#8230;\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"indent\">The Lord had Moses write His words in a book and put it in a safe place, so His words would be read and copied faithfully by future generations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ AGAIN ISAIAH 30:8<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNow go, write it before them in a table, and note it _____ ____ __________, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ JEREMIAH 30:2<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee _______ the ____________ that I have ______________ unto thee ______ ____ ____________.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ REVELATION 1:11<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSaying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write ______ ____ ____________, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia&#8230;\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">66 Books: One Bible<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">We have all\u00a0<strong>66<\/strong>\u00a0books that God gave by inspiration combined in\u00a0<strong>one<\/strong>\u00a0book, called the Bible. But remember: the 66\u00a0<strong>original<\/strong>\u00a0books were\u00a0<em>never<\/em>\u00a0combined in one book! It was perfect copies of those books that were brought together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">The first\u00a0<strong>39<\/strong>\u00a0of those books are called the\u00a0<strong>Old Testament<\/strong>. The last\u00a0<strong>27<\/strong>\u00a0are called the\u00a0<strong>New Testament<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"subheadliner\">In Faithful Copies<\/p>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ DEUTERONOMY 17:18<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAnd it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall ____________ him a __________ of __________ ________ in a ___________ out of that which is before the priests the Levites:\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"indent\">God preserved His words by having His people make\u00a0<strong>faithful copies<\/strong>\u00a0of them. Even the king of Israel had to make his own copy of Moses\u2019 writings!<\/p>\n<p class=\"subheadliner\">In Accurate Translations<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">Once the Bible was finished, God\u2019s people carefully translated His words into many different languages. These translations were so accurate that the Bibles said the same thing in each language. They were God\u2019s words in their languages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">God\u2019s words were so precious to them that many people gave their lives rather than give up their Bibles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"subheadliner\">Only What God Wants Us to Know<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\"><strong>Old Testament<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ ROMANS 15:4<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFor whatsoever things were written aforetime were written _________ __________ __________________, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have ___________.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ 1 CORINTHIANS 10:11<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNow all these things happened unto them for ensamples (examples): and they are written ______ ______ _____________________ (warning), upon whom the ends of the world are come.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"indent\"><strong>New Testament<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ JOHN 20:31<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBut these are written, that ye might __________ that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that ______________________ ye might have ___________ through his name.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"studyverses\">READ JOHN 21:25<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAnd there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the ______________ that should be __________________. Amen.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"subheadliner\">Summary<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">God promised to preserve His words for ever and ever, without one single error or one missing word or letter. And God always keeps His promises.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">God\u2019s words are very important to Him. He preserved His words in 66 books that make up the Bible. The 39 books of the Old Testament were written as examples and warnings. Each book points us to hope in God.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">The 27 books of the New Testament were written to bring us to trust in Jesus Christ, who is God the Son and Son of God.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indent\">The Lord made sure that godly believers made faithful copies and accurate translations of the Bible.
