5\u00a0<\/strong>Een ieder die gelooft dat Jezus de Christus is, wordt uit God geboren; en ieder die hem liefheeft die verwekt heeft, heeft ook hem lief die uit hem verwekt is.<\/p>\n

2\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Hierdoor weten we dat we de kinderen van God liefhebben, als we God liefhebben en zijn geboden onderhouden.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n

(Hoe weten we dat we van de broeders houden? Is het gewoon wanneer alles goed voelt? Slechts gedeeltelijk, zoals het zegt: liefde is geduldig, liefde is vriendelijk, liefde lijdt lang. Maar we kunnen onze broeder niet liefhebben als we niet eerst God liefhebben . Het eerste en grootste gebod is liefde eerst God. Dan komt het tweede: heb je naaste lief als jezelf. Kan iemand echt van zichzelf houden als hij nog niet heeft geleerd om zijn schepper lief te hebben voor wie Hij is geschapen, om te dienen om te leven , groeien en zijn zoals onze hemelse Vader, en zoals alle koningen opgroeien om erfgenamen te worden zoals wij erfgenamen zijn in Christus, zoals er staat dat Hij de eerstgeborene was onder vele broeders en wij mede-erfgenamen zijn? <\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n

3\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Want dit is de liefde van God, dat we zijn geboden onderhouden: en zijn geboden zijn niet zwaar.<\/p>\n

4\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Want wat uit God geboren is, overwint de wereld: en dit is de overwinning die de wereld overwint, namelijk ons geloof.<\/p>\n

5\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Wie is het die de wereld overwint, anders dan hij die gelooft dat Jezus de Zoon van God is?<\/p>\n

6\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Dit is hij die door water en bloed kwam, namelijk Jezus Christus; niet alleen door water, maar door water en bloed. En het is de Geest die getuigt, omdat de Geest de waarheid is.<\/p>\n

7\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Want er zijn er drie die getuigen in de hemel: de Vader, het Woord en de Heilige Geest: en deze drie zijn \u00e9\u00e9n.<\/p>\n

8\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>En er zijn er drie die op aarde getuigen: de Geest en het water en het bloed: en deze drie komen overeen in \u00e9\u00e9n.<\/p>\n

9\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Als we het getuigenis van mensen ontvangen, is het getuigenis van God groter: want dit is het getuigenis van God waarvan hij heeft getuigd van zijn Zoon.<\/p>\n

10\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Wie in de Zoon van God gelooft, heeft het getuigenis in zichzelf; wie niet gelooft God heeft hem tot een leugenaar gemaakt; omdat hij het getuigenis dat God van zijn Zoon heeft gegeven, niet gelooft.<\/p>\n

11\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>En dit is het getuigenis, dat God ons eeuwig leven heeft gegeven, en dit leven is in zijn Zoon.<\/p>\n

12\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Hij die de Zoon heeft, heeft het leven; en wie de Zoon van God niet heeft, heeft geen leven.<\/p>\n

13\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Deze dingen heb ik u geschreven die in de naam van de Zoon van God geloven; opdat u zult weten dat u het eeuwige leven hebt en dat u in de naam van de Zoon van God zult geloven.<\/p>\n

14\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>En dit is het vertrouwen dat we in hem hebben, dat, als we iets vragen naar zijn wil, hij ons hoort:<\/p>\n

15\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>En als we weten dat hij ons hoort, wat we ook vragen, dan weten we dat we de petities hebben die we van hem verlangden.<\/p>\n

16\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Als iemand zijn broeder een zonde ziet zondigen die niet tot de dood leidt, zal hij erom vragen, en hij zal hem leven geven voor hen die niet zondigen tot de dood. Er is een zonde tot de dood: ik zeg niet dat hij ervoor zal bidden.<\/p>\n

17\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Alle ongerechtigheid is zonde: en er is een zonde die niet tot de dood leidt.<\/p>\n

18\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>We weten dat een ieder die uit God geboren is, niet zondigt; maar wie uit God verwekt is, bewaart zichzelf, en de goddeloze raakt hem niet aan.<\/p>\n

19\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>En we weten dat we uit God zijn en dat de hele wereld in goddeloosheid ligt.<\/p>\n

20\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>En we weten dat de Zoon van God is gekomen en ons begrip heeft gegeven, zodat we Hem mogen kennen die waar is, en we zijn in Hem die waar is, ja, in zijn Zoon Jezus Christus. Dit is de ware God en het eeuwige leven.<\/p>\n
