Zoals beschreven door onze Primace, Rev Dr Stephen MK Brunswick:<\/p>\n

Toen mijn GG Grandpa Robert Nott en de baby G. Grandpa George W Nott (6 maanden oud) beiden in 1909 door bliksem werden getroffen.<\/p>\n

Baby Opa vloog samen met zijn moeder een grote afstand in de lucht, en vloog verder van haar armen naarmate hij een grotere schok kreeg. Hij en zijn vader (Overgrootvader en 2xGrote Opa Nott) werden beiden getroffen door de bliksem, ook oma werd getroffen door de grendel. Ze herstelden allebei en dienden in het leger en leefden een lang leven. Hij was geweldig. Ik hield van deze opa, toen ik een kind was, bracht hij me altijd 5 dollarbiljetten tot ik ongeveer 9-10 jaar oud was, toen hij stierf. Hij en zijn vrouw, oma Brunswick, waren met pensioen in Mineral Virginia, waar ik ook was.<\/p>\n

De moeder van opa Robert Nott, Sarah Cochran (Celtic Chiefton-familie, Earls of Dundonald, dat rijk rond Iona enz., Jongere tak), kwam uit een vervolgde Zuidelijke familie, die hun pensioen verloren (inclusief haar grootvader verloor zijn pensioen van de oorlog van 1812 voor zijn loyaliteit aan het Zuiden, de Confederatie en zijn staat, boven de nieuwe federale regering). Robert had zich vanaf zijn tiende als huurling opgewerkt, waarschijnlijk omdat het hele familiefortuin in het Zuidelijke geld zat, dat waardeloos werd.<\/p>\n

Daar waren ze als goede rentmeesters van wat God had voorzien, dit hield hen niet tegen, maar alles blonk uit.<\/div>\n

Mijn hele familie scheen meer van Virginia, Alabama en Florida te houden dan van het noorden. Ik ben nu terug naar onze zuidelijke wortels met een van onze hoofdkantoren op Dixieland Rd.<\/p>\n
