Kritiker som letar efter flyspeck i m\u00e4sterverket h\u00e4vdar att det fanns en l\u00e5ng tidsrymd mellan den tid som h\u00e4ndelserna i Nya testamentet intr\u00e4ffade och n\u00e4r de spelades in. De h\u00e4vdar att det finns ytterligare ett gap mellan de tidigaste kopiorna och autograferna i Nya testamentet. Tyres bortg\u00e5ng registreras av forntida historiker, som ber\u00e4ttar hur Alexander den store bel\u00e4grade staden i sju m\u00e5nader. Kung Nebukadnessar av Babylon hade misslyckats i ett 13-\u00e5rigt f\u00f6rs\u00f6k att f\u00e5nga kustkuststaden och helt f\u00f6rst\u00f6ra dess inv\u00e5nare. Messianska profetior<\/b>
\nI Daniels bok profeterade Bibeln att den enda judiska Messias skulle komma f\u00f6re templets bortg\u00e5ng.
