The Lord’s way is not only the accurate translation, which kept other days higher than Sunday for 1,000 years after this was written(except in Rome and Alexandria), it’s also Biblical, ie Leviticus 23<\/a> where no servile work can be done (the \u00a0seven High Holy days and the weekly Sabbath). All Canonical Orthodox have liturgy on Saturday and even Western Orthodoxy includes at least several prayers, blessings and Collects on top of this which commemorate Saturday as the day of rest. Likewise we encourage all fellowship churches who meet on Sundays to hold services on Saturday, the Sabbath. Likewise we urge all Sabbath churches to open their doors on Sundays as well. It’s a time we need to reach out to the flock and teach the pure word. If this is new to you, we can hundreds of such references in the book <\/em><\/span>\u201cSaturday Rest: Embracing the Christian Sabbath in Orthodox Faith\u201d<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>Both days have been considered holy by all the church through all times of history. Piety is important but if we’re to work on the weekend let it be on Sunday, where it is only tradition which says we may not work.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Kapitel 2. Acceptera vad som h\u00e4nder dig som bra, med vetskap att f\u00f6rutom Gud intet kommer att ske.<\/p>\n

Kapitel 4. Olika f\u00f6reskrifter.<\/b> Mitt barn, kom ih\u00e5g natt och dag den som talar Guds ord till dig och \u00e4ra honom som du g\u00f6r Herren. Ty varhelst den herriska h\u00e4rskan uttas, d\u00e4r finns Herren. Och s\u00f6k dag efter dag de heligas ansikten, s\u00e5 att du kan vila p\u00e5 deras ord. L\u00e4ng inte efter splittring, utan snarare f\u00f6r dem som strider mot fred. D\u00f6m r\u00e4ttf\u00e4rdigt och respektera inte personer i tillr\u00e4ttavisning f\u00f6r \u00f6vertr\u00e4delser. Du ska inte vara obesluten om det ska vara eller inte. Var inte en b\u00e5r av h\u00e4nderna att ta emot och en l\u00e5da av dem att ge tillbaka. Om du har n\u00e5got, ska du genom dina h\u00e4nder ge l\u00f6sen f\u00f6r dina synder. Tveka inte att ge eller klaga n\u00e4r du ger; f\u00f6r du ska veta vem som \u00e4r den goda \u00e5terbetalaren av hyran. V\u00e4nd dig inte bort fr\u00e5n den som \u00e4r i n\u00f6d; dela snarare allt med din bror och s\u00e4g inte att det \u00e4r din egen. Ty om du har del i det som \u00e4r od\u00f6dligt, hur mycket mer i ting som \u00e4r d\u00f6dligt? Ta inte bort din hand fr\u00e5n din son eller dotter. snarare l\u00e4r dem fruktan f\u00f6r Gud fr\u00e5n sin ungdom. Ge inte n\u00e5got i din bitterhet till din tj\u00e4nare eller tj\u00e4narinna, som hoppas p\u00e5 samma Gud, f\u00f6r att de aldrig ska frukta Gud som \u00e4r \u00f6ver b\u00e5da; f\u00f6r han kommer inte f\u00f6r att kalla efter det yttre utseendet, utan till dem som Anden har berett. I kyrkan ska du erk\u00e4nna dina \u00f6vertr\u00e4delser och du ska inte komma n\u00e4ra din b\u00f6n med ett ont samvete. Detta \u00e4r livsstilen.<\/p>\n

Kapitel 5. D\u00f6dens v\u00e4g.<\/b> Och d\u00f6dens v\u00e4g \u00e4r detta: F\u00f6rst och fr\u00e4mst \u00e4r det ont och f\u00f6rbannat: mord, \u00e4ktenskapsbrott, lust, otukt, st\u00f6lder, avgudadyrkan, trollkonst, h\u00e4xverk, v\u00e5ldt\u00e4kt, falskt vittnesb\u00f6rd, hyckleri, dubbelhj\u00e4rtighet, bedr\u00e4geri, hovmod, f\u00f6rd\u00e4rv , egenvilja, girighet, smutsiga samtal, svartsjuka, \u00f6verf\u00f6rtroende, h\u00f6ghet, skrytthet; f\u00f6rf\u00f6ljare av det goda, hatar sanningen, \u00e4lskar en l\u00f6gn, utan att veta en bel\u00f6ning f\u00f6r r\u00e4ttf\u00e4rdighet, inte h\u00e5lla fast vid det goda eller r\u00e4ttf\u00e4rdiga dom, och inte h\u00e5lla sig till det goda utan f\u00f6r det onda; fr\u00e5n vilka \u00f6dmjukhet och uth\u00e5llighet \u00e4r l\u00e5ngt, k\u00e4rleksfulla f\u00e5f\u00e4ngel, h\u00e4mnd, inte medlidande med en fattig man, inte arbeta f\u00f6r de drabbade, utan att k\u00e4nna honom som gjorde dem, barnmordare, f\u00f6rst\u00f6rare av Guds handarbete, v\u00e4nda sig bort fr\u00e5n honom som \u00e4r i n\u00f6d, som pl\u00e5gar den som \u00e4r n\u00f6dst\u00e4llda, f\u00f6respr\u00e5kar de rika, lagl\u00f6sa domarna f\u00f6r de fattiga, fullst\u00e4ndiga syndarna. Bli befriad, barn, fr\u00e5n alla dessa.<\/p>\n

Kapitel 6. Mot falska l\u00e4rare och mat som erbjuds idoler.<\/b> Se till att ingen f\u00e5r dig att g\u00f6ra fel fr\u00e5n detta s\u00e4tt att undervisa, f\u00f6rutom Gud l\u00e4r det dig. Ty om du kan b\u00e4ra hela Herrens ok, blir du fullkomlig; men om du inte kan g\u00f6ra det, g\u00f6r vad du kan. Och n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller mat, b\u00e4ra vad du kan; men mot det som offras till avgudarna, var ytterst f\u00f6rsiktig; ty det \u00e4r tj\u00e4nande av d\u00f6da gudar.<\/p>\n

Kapitel 7. N\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller dopet.<\/b> Och om dopet, d\u00f6p s\u00e5: N\u00e4r du f\u00f6rst har sagt allt detta, d\u00f6p dig till Faderns och Sonens och den Helige Andens namn i levande vatten. Men om du inte har n\u00e5got levande vatten, d\u00f6p till annat vatten; och om du inte kan g\u00f6ra det i kallt vatten, g\u00f6r det i varmt. Men om du inte har det, h\u00e4ll ut vatten tre g\u00e5nger p\u00e5 huvudet i Faderns och Sonens och den helige Andens namn. Men innan dopet l\u00e5ter doparen fasta och d\u00f6pta och vem som helst kan; men du ska beordra de d\u00f6pta att fasta en eller tv\u00e5 dagar innan.<\/p>\n

Kapitel 8. Fasta och b\u00f6n (Herrens b\u00f6n).<\/b> Men l\u00e5t inte dina fastor vara hos hycklarna, f\u00f6r de fastar p\u00e5 den andra och femte dagen i veckan. Snarare snabbt p\u00e5 fj\u00e4rde dagen och f\u00f6rberedelserna (fredag). Be inte som hycklarna, utan snarare som Herren befallde i sitt evangelium, s\u00e5 h\u00e4r:<\/p>\n

V\u00e5r Fader, som \u00e4r i himlen, \u00e4r ditt namn helgat. Ditt rike kommer. Din vilja ska ske p\u00e5 jorden, precis som i himlen. Kapitel 9. Eukaristin.<\/b> N\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller nattvarden, tack s\u00e5 h\u00e4r. F\u00f6rst ang\u00e5ende koppen:<\/p>\n

Vi tackar dig, v\u00e5r far, f\u00f6r den heliga vinstocken f\u00f6r din tj\u00e4nare David, som du uppenbarligen k\u00e4nde till oss genom Jesus din tj\u00e4nare; till dig vara \u00e4ra f\u00f6r alltid ...<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Och om det brutna br\u00f6det:<\/p>\n

Kapitel 10. B\u00f6n efter nattvarden.<\/b> Men n\u00e4r du \u00e4r fylld, tacka s\u00e5 h\u00e4r:<\/p>\n

Vi tackar dig, heliga Fader, f\u00f6r ditt heliga namn som du gjorde till tabernaklet i v\u00e5ra hj\u00e4rtan och f\u00f6r kunskapen och tron och od\u00f6dligheten, som du blygsamt k\u00e4nde till oss genom Jesus din tj\u00e4nare; till dig vara \u00e4ra f\u00f6r evigt. Du, m\u00e4stare, allsm\u00e4ktig, skapade alla saker f\u00f6r ditt namns skull; Du gav mat och dryck till m\u00e4nniskorna f\u00f6r njutning, s\u00e5 att de skulle tacka dig; men till oss gav du fritt andlig mat och dryck och evigt liv genom din tj\u00e4nare. Men l\u00e5t profeterna g\u00f6ra Thanksgiving s\u00e5 mycket de \u00f6nskar.<\/p>\n

Kapitel 11. N\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller l\u00e4rare, apostlar och profeter.<\/b> Den som d\u00e4rf\u00f6r kommer och l\u00e4r dig allt detta som sagts tidigare, ta emot honom. Men om l\u00e4raren sj\u00e4lv v\u00e4nder om och l\u00e4r ut en annan l\u00e4ra f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rst\u00f6ra detta, h\u00f6r honom inte. Men om han undervisar f\u00f6r att \u00f6ka r\u00e4ttf\u00e4rdighet och kunskap om Herren, ta emot honom som Herren. Men n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller apostlarna och profeterna, ag enligt Evangeliets f\u00f6rordning. L\u00e5t varje apostel som kommer till dig tas emot som Herren. Men han ska inte stanna mer \u00e4n en dag; eller tv\u00e5 dagar, om det finns ett behov. Men om han stannar i tre dagar \u00e4r han en falsk profet. Och n\u00e4r aposteln g\u00e5r bort, l\u00e5t honom inte ta annat \u00e4n br\u00f6d tills han logerar. Om han ber om pengar \u00e4r han en falsk profet. Och varje profet som talar i Anden ska du varken pr\u00f6va eller d\u00f6ma; f\u00f6r varje synd ska f\u00f6rl\u00e5tas, men denna synd ska inte f\u00f6rl\u00e5tas. Men inte alla som talar i Anden \u00e4r en profet; men bara om han h\u00e5ller Herrens v\u00e4gar. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r skall den falska profeten och profeten k\u00e4nnas fr\u00e5n deras v\u00e4gar. Och varje profet som best\u00e4ller en m\u00e5ltid i Anden \u00e4ter den inte om han inte \u00e4r en falsk profet. Och varje profet som l\u00e4r ut sanningen, men inte g\u00f6r vad han l\u00e4r, \u00e4r en falsk profet. Och varje profet, som visat sig vara sann, arbetar f\u00f6r kyrkans mysterium i v\u00e4rlden, men \u00e4nd\u00e5 inte l\u00e4r andra att g\u00f6ra vad han sj\u00e4lv g\u00f6r, ska inte d\u00f6mas bland er, f\u00f6r hos Gud har han sin dom; f\u00f6r s\u00e5 gjorde ocks\u00e5 de forntida profeterna. Men den som s\u00e4ger i Anden: Ge mig pengar eller n\u00e5got annat, du ska inte lyssna p\u00e5 honom. Men om han s\u00e4ger till dig att ge f\u00f6r andras skull som \u00e4r i n\u00f6d, l\u00e5t ingen d\u00f6ma honom.<\/p>\n

Kapitel 12. Mottagande av kristna.<\/b> Men ta emot alla som kommer i Herrens namn och bepr\u00f6va och k\u00e4nna honom d\u00e4refter; f\u00f6r du ska ha f\u00f6rst\u00e5else \u00e5t h\u00f6ger och v\u00e4nster. Om den som kommer \u00e4r en v\u00e4gfarare, hj\u00e4lp honom s\u00e5 l\u00e5ngt du kan; men han ska inte stanna hos dig mer \u00e4n tv\u00e5 eller tre dagar, om det beh\u00f6vs. Men om han vill stanna hos dig och \u00e4r hantverkare, l\u00e5t honom arbeta och \u00e4ta. Men om han inte har n\u00e5gon handel, enligt din f\u00f6rst\u00e5else, se till att han som kristen inte kommer att leva med dig ledig. Men om han inte vill g\u00f6ra det \u00e4r han en Kristushandlare. Se upp att du h\u00e5ller dig borta fr\u00e5n s\u00e5dana.<\/p>\n

Kapitel 13. St\u00f6d av profeter.<\/b> Men varje sann profet som vill bo bland er \u00e4r v\u00e4rd hans st\u00f6d. S\u00e5 ocks\u00e5 en sann l\u00e4rare \u00e4r sj\u00e4lv v\u00e4rdig, som arbetaren, hans st\u00f6d. But permit the prophets to make(offer) Thanksgiving(Eucharist) as much as they desire.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Didache\u00a0is also called the \u201cTeaching of the Twelve Apostles.\u201d It was possibly written around A.D. 65-80 and is supposed to be what the twelve apostles taught to the Gentiles concerning life and death, church order, fasting, baptism, prayer, etc. The work is cited by Eusebius who lived from 260-341 and Athanasius 293-373. It seems to be referenced by Origen who lived from 185-254. In the Didache, 16:2-3 is quoted in the Epistle of Barnabas in 4:9, or vice versa.\u00a0The Epistle of Barnabas was written in A.D. 130-131. The Didache is a valuable early church document.<\/span><\/p>\n

VERSE REMOVED FROM THE THE COMMUNION TEXT<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

These Chapters 9 and 10 from the Didache deal with how to do the communion concerning the bread and wine, and how to “do Thanks\/Eucharist” in Christ’s fulfillment for each.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note that at the time the temple of Jerusalem and at all Synagogue areas outside of Jerusalem “every morning the people brought their Eucharist to YAHWEH which was mostly bread, wine, and frankincense”, the portion<\/span><\/p>\n

of the offerings that would be partially kept and the rest given to the people to freely eat amongst themselves, as with the Lamb and other “free will” offerings of thanksgiving etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Within the concluding words of how to do the Eucharist is verse 8 which has been removed from most modern translation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The verse is especially within the chapter at it’s a key moment. So many editors and lukewarm Christians wish wasn’t in there and so they have strange unBiblical opinions about it perhaps belonging to another chapter altogether,<\/span><\/p>\n

and removed it from the original and literal Didache, so as not to create confusion among their flocks.<\/span><\/p>\n

However that’s where 3 times, in verse 7 and 8 say that this is how you do the Eucharist, “permit the Prophets to make the Eucharist as often as they desire”(verse 7).<\/span><\/p>\n

Verse 10:8 in the Didache has been removed from many modern translations of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

However the Coptic version and other pre 11th Century versions of payprus manuscripts stil have it there.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is word for word:<\/span><\/p>\n

“but concerning the saying for the smoke\/fragrance, do the Eucharist this way: we do Eucharist(give thanks) to you Father concerning the fragrance which you showed us, through Jesus your Son. Yours is the glory for ever!”<\/span><\/p>\n

The modern translators of the Didascalia added subtitles to these two sections also, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

The Clementine Liturgy portion of the Apostles Didascalia<\/p>\n

In the Clementine Liturgy, A.C. Section II, 57, it says,<\/span><\/p>\n

“On the Sabbath the Gospel shall be read after the other lections.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Another name for part of the Apostles Didascalia is the \u201cClementine Liturgy\u201d. Throughout the Clementine Liturgy (including Book VIII of the Didascalia) it says Saturday is a feast day, and day of rest, and that you have leisure to attending church for worship, studying God’s laws, hearing the Gospels read, participating in the Eucharist etc.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
