N\u00e4r min GGGrandpa Robert Nott och sp\u00e4dbarn G.Grandpa George W Nott (6 m\u00e5nader gammal) b\u00e5da drabbades av blixtnedslag 1909.<\/p>\n

Babyfarfar fl\u00f6g i luften tillsammans med sin mamma ett l\u00e5ngt avst\u00e5nd och fl\u00f6g l\u00e4ngre fr\u00e5n hennes armar n\u00e4r han fick en mer betydande chock. Han och hans far (farfar och 2x storfarfar Nott) slogs b\u00e5da av blixtarna, farmor p\u00e5verkades ocks\u00e5 av bulten. De \u00e5terh\u00e4mtade sig b\u00e5da och tj\u00e4nade i milit\u00e4ren och levde l\u00e5nga liv. Han var fantastisk. Jag \u00e4lskade den h\u00e4r farfar, n\u00e4r jag var liten tog han alltid med mig 5 dollarsedlar tills jag var 9-10 \u00e5r gammal n\u00e4r han dog. Han och hans fru, farmor Brunswick hade g\u00e5tt i pension i Mineral Virginia, d\u00e4r jag ocks\u00e5 bes\u00f6kte.<\/p>\n

Morfar Robert Nots mor Sarah Cochran (familjen Celtic Chiefton, Earls of Dundonald, detta omr\u00e5de runt Iona etc, yngre gren), var av en f\u00f6rf\u00f6ljd konfedererad familj, som f\u00f6rlorade sina pensioner (inklusive hennes farfar f\u00f6rlorade sin pension fr\u00e5n kriget 1812 f\u00f6r sin lojalitet mot s\u00f6der, konfederationen och hans stat, ovanf\u00f6r den nya federala regeringen).
