THE CRAZY MIND-SET OF "DRILL, DRILL, DRILL!"
A VOICE IN THE WILDERNESS
April 30th 2010. Well if you did not see the stupidity of people
in the USA in the last few years shouting out "drill, drill,
drill" like Palin, and even Obama, till a few days ago ... you
know "drill for oil" bandwagon. Then you should be seeing it now!
The oil-rig blowing up and going down in the Gulf of Mexico, with
a loss of 11 lives and a continuing to throw out oil from the
bottom of the sea, one mile down.
What is looking like one mighty HUGE ECOLOGICAL nightmare is in
the making. Each day that oil pours out, each day the larger the
problem and ultimate catastrophe.
There are 4,000 oil-rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.
Oil Companies still have a big claim and a big stake in the North
American market. It is still true that America is drunk on oil,
they are addicted to oil. But is it really the consumer that
makes it so?
I do not think so. It is the power the oil guys have. It is the
lobby power they have.
We live in a technology age that blows the mind in what man can
do, what man has, and what man is inventing all the time.
Do we have the skill and the brain power to create a society that
could be oil free, say in 10 years time. Of course we do! We are
40 years behind time.
We could have by now every car on the road as electric or sola
powered. We could have by now all homes sola powered or powered
in other ways that do not depend on oil.
The simple truth of the matter is that oil and oil companies and
all associated with the industry have still too much pulling
power in the Western world. Governments of the West have not been
strong enough and bold enough in their moves, into the 21st space
age world.
Will it take more Gulf oil disasters to get our lack of real zeal
to put away oil, on the fast track? Maybe be it will have to be
so.
Sad to think it, sad to say it, but maybe in this case we shall
have to learn the hard way.

A VOICE IN THE WILDERNESS
By Don Robson
Yes, a voice crying in the wilderness. And what was the message
of that voice? Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! I
suggest to my readers that the message of John is still relevant
to-day. But you protest in saying that the message was given two
thousand years ago and, although the Kingdom was, "at hand", it
still has not arrived. For me, the "at hand" refers to each
individual's lifetime; John was telling his people to prepare
themselves for the Kingdom by repenting of sins committed, thereby
being acceptable for citizenship when the Kingdom is established by
Jesus as prophesied by the prophets. When our life is ended by the first
death, a fate reserved for everyone of us, it is too late to
repent and the Kingdom, appearing after the gathering by the
angels of Jesus, arrives and we are not prepared. Now of course,
the new covenant requires the acceptance of Jesus Christ for
forgiveness of sins because we are told by the prophets that no
iniquity will be permitted in the Kingdom.
There are voices crying in the wilderness to-day. They are
asking:
WHY DO PRIVATE BANKERS HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE MONEY WHEN BACKED
BY GOVERNBONDS?
Why must the government incur debt when more money is required to
facilitate the operation of the economy? Not only does the
government incur debt, but so do individuals, as each household
finds it must take on debt to provide the necessities of life and
being indebted requires both parents to work to meet the interest
requirements of the debt and to retire the principle amount of
the loan(s). This has profoundly changed our society which in
times past, required the man to be the wage earner for the family
and the wife to be the homemaker. Now, children get a different
kind of upbringing (child care by others) or, in older children,
no care. This has a dramatic impact on some of our youth and
reflects in crime statistics. So, one sin requiring repentance is
the charging of usury.
WHY DO PRIVATE BANKERS HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE MONEY WHEN BACKED
BY GOVERNMENT BONDS?
The early US presidents resisted this trend and we know of two,
Lincoln and Kennedy, who tried to create money through the US
congress to finance their wars, Lincoln the civil war, and
Kennedy the Vietnam war. Both were assassinated! Could it be that
the international bankers value so highly their privilege of
charging interest and will not tolerate any such thing as
repentance! There are people in the US to-day, such as the
Deborah Following, who are trying to organize action to repeal
the Act that established the Federal Reserve Board in the year
1913. Of course, we need to do the very same in Canada, because
the Bank of Canada, despite its governmental sounding name, is
also a consortium of private banks and bankers. The US debts and
the interest thereon, is becoming so high, the debts in trillions
of dollars and the interest charges in billions of dollars, that
the possibility of repayment is becoming questionable and it will
only take a default by a government to threaten the whole
financial system. Perhaps, this would be a good thing? Repent,
the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
WHY DO PRIVATE BANKERS HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE MONEY WHEN BACKED
BY GOVERNMENT BONDS?
If our government had the power to create money as required to
operate the economy, we would not have any depressions. Looking
at our present situation, we have several significant problems. I
will list just a few; such as, health costs, Arctic sovereignty,
city infrastructures, unemployment with resultant welfare,
education and absorption of immigrants. All of these activities
require currency for the purchase of labour and materials. If our
government were able only to create the money debt free, (because
the cost of the debt is the inhibitor to providing more currency)
we could pay more nurses and doctors, more construction workers
and manufacturers. We could reduce taxes starting with those who
are working but living below the poverty line. But this would
only make sense if money were only a medium of exchange WITHOUT
the ability to earn interest. Well, what would give our currency
value? In my opinion, it would be backed by the value of the
assets created and the country would know unprecedented
prosperity. Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
WHY DO PRIVATE BANKERS HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE MONEY WHEN BACKED
BY GOVERNMENT BONDS?
In the Kingdom of Heaven, this will not be so. First, the Kingdom
will use and enforce the laws of God and God says do NOT charge
usury? Further, debt cannot accumulate because forgiveness of
debt is a requirement each Sabbath year, (every seven years). So,
I ask the question: If God's Kingdom and economy can operate
without interest, why can't ours? Our current problem is dealing
with the powerfully rich who have entrenched the current system
and will defend it to the end no matter what that takes. (May I
suggest even war?) Now, the Lord has given us advice on this
matter. It is found in Revelation 18:4, "Come out of her
(Babylon) my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and
that ye receive not of her plagues." This is not easily
accomplished. My personal forecast is that it will require the
intervention of the Lord Jesus Christ. In the meantime, I join
those, "Voices, crying in the wilderness."
"Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that
shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted .... Your gold and
silver is cankered .... Ye have heaped treasure together for the
last days .... Behold the hire of the labourers .... Which is of
you kept back by fraud .... Ye have lived in pleasure on the
earth .... Ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of
slaughter .... Ye have condemned and killed the just ...." (James
5:1-6)
