WILL YOU HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD?

THOUGH I be sent to you to show you the way of light and truth and
salvation, I know most are as Isaiah has written, "This people draw
nigh unto me with their lips but their heart is far from me."
God will speak to you in this study; you will hear HIS words to
you; you will hear the words of the way to salvation. The question
is will you listen and more importantly will you ACT?
Some like to "proof text" - like Eph.2:8-10 "For by grace are you
saved through faith, and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
not of works lest any man boast..."
Weeeellll .... how's this for proof texting?
Continuing in the espistels of James, John, Peter, and Jude
"But be you DOERS of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
For if any man be a hearer of the word, and NOT a DOER, he is like unto a
man beholding his natural face in a glass. For he looks at himself, and goes
his way, and right away forgets what manner of man he was. But whoever looks
into the PERFECT LAW of LIBERTY, and continues there in, he being NOT a
forgetful, but a DOER of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deeds"
(James 1:22-25).
"For whospever keeps the whole law, and yet offends in one point, he is
guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill.
Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you have become a transgressor
of the law. Sp speak, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of
LIBERTY" (James 2:10-12).
"But will you not know, a vain man, that faith without works is DEAD!"
(James 2:20).
"Was not our father Abraham justified by works, when he offered Isaac his
son upon the altar?Seeing then, how faith was wrought with his works, and by
works was faith made PERFECT.....seeing then how that by works a man is
justified, and not by faith ONLY.....for as the body without the breath is dead,
so faith without works is dead also" (James 21-26).
"Therefore to him that KNOWS to do GOOD, and does it NOT, to him it is SIN"
(James 4:17).
"But as He that has called you is holy, so be you holy in ALL MANNER of conduct,
because it is written, Be you Holy for I am Holy" (1 Peter 1:15,16).
"As newborn babes desire the sincere milf of the word, that you may grow
thereby" (1 Peter 2:2).
"For even until were you called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving
us an example, that you should FOLLOW His steps. Who did NO SIN...."
(1 Peter 2:21,22).
"And if the RIGHTEOUS SCARCELY be saved, where will the UNgodly and SINNER
appear" (1 Peter 4:18).
"And besides this, giving all diligence, ADD to your faith, VIRTUE, and
to virtue KNOWLEDGE, and to knowledge TEMPERANCE, and to temperance
PATIENCE, and to patience GODLINESS, and to godliness KINDNESS, and to
brotherly kindness LOVE.....But he that lacks these things is blind,
and connot see a far off, and has forgotten forgotten that he was purged
from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make
your calling and election sure; for if you DO these things, you shall
NEVER FALL. For so an enterance shall be ministered unto you abundantly
into the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"
(2 Peter 1:5-11).
"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall
be false prophets among you, who secretly shall bring in damnable heresies,
even denying the Lord that bought them ... and MANY shall follow thier
lascivious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken
of....which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray ... who loved
the wages of UNrighteousness ... while they promise them LIBERTY they
themselves are the servants of CORRUPTION: for of whom a man is overcome,
of the same is he brought in bondage" (2 Peter 2 - various sections).
"But grow in grace and KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..."
(2 Peter 3:18).
"If we say we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we LIE,
and do NOT the TRUTH" (1 John 1:6).
"My little children, these things I write unto you, that you SIN NOT...
Hereby do we KNOW that we know him, IF we KEEP his COMMANDMENTS. He that
says he knows him, and KEEPS NOT his commandments, is a LIAR, and the
TRUTH is NOT in him. But he that KEEPS his WORD (Mat.4:4), in him truly
is the LOVE of God perfected: and this is how we KNOW that we are IN him.
He that says he abides in him, ought himself also so to walk, even as
he walked" (1 John 2:1-6).
"If you KNOW that he is RIGHTEOUS, you know that everyone that PRACTICES
RIGHTEOUSNESS is begotten of him" (1 John 2:29).
"Whoever committeth SIN, transgresseth also the LAW, for SIN IS the
transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4).
"Little children, let no man deceive you, he that PRACTICES righteousness
is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that PRACTICES SIN is of the Devil,
the Devil sins from the beginning ... Whoever is begotten of God does NOT
PRACTICE sin ... for he cannot PRACTICE sin, because he is begotten of
God. In this is the children of God manifest, and the children of the Devil.
Whoever does NOT PRACTICE righteousness is NOT of God ...."
(1 John 3:7-10 - see Amplified Bible).
And whatsoever we ask of him, we receive of him, because we KEEP his
COMMANDMENTS, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight ... And
he that KEEPS his COMMANDMENTS dwelleth in him, and he in him, and hereby
we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us [note
Acts 5:32] (1 John 3:22-24).
"...God is LOVE, and he that dwells in love, dwells in God, and God in him."
(1 John 4:16).
"By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and
KEEP his COMMANDMENTS. For this IS the LOVE of God, that we KEEP his
COMMANDMENTS, and his commandments are NOT grievous" (1 John 5:2,3).
"ALL UNrighteousness is SIN ... We know whoever is begotten of God does
NOT PRACTICE sin...." (1 John 5:17,18).
"And this IS LOVE, that we WALK after his COMMANDMENTS...." (1 jOHN 5:6).
"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common
salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and to exhort you,
that you should earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered
to the saints. For there are certain men crept in secretly, who were
before ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of
God into LASCIVIOUSNESS, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord
Jesus Christ: (Jude 3,4).
