WILL YOU HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD?

THOUGH I be sent to you to show you the way of light and truth and
salvation, I know most are as Isaiah has written, "This people draw
nigh unto me with their lips but their heart is far from me."
God will speak to you in this study; you will hear HIS words to
you; you will hear the words of the way to salvation. The question
is will you listen and more importantly will you ACT?
Some like to "proof text" - like Eph.2:8-10 "For by grace are you
saved through faith, and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
not of works lest any man boast..."
Weeeellll .... how's this for proof texting?
Continuing in Galatians and the rest of Paul's epistles
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet nit I, but
Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I
live by the faith OF the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself
for me" (Galatians 2:20).
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are: Adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraf,
hated, varience, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the
which I tell you, as I also told you in times past, that they
which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God"
(Galatians 5:19-21; read it in the Amplified Version)
"Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his
neighbor.....Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor,
and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice....
but fornication and all uncleanness, let it not be named among
you. as becomes saints....For this you know, that no whoremonger,
nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any
inheritance in the Kingdom of God....And have no fellowship with
the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.....
Wherefore be you not unwise, but UNDERSTANDING what the WILL of
the Lord is" (Verses from Ephesians chapter 4 and 5 - read them
in the Amplified Bible).
"Thet you may approve things that are excellent; that you may be
sincere and without offence, till the day of Christ; being filled
with the fruits of RIGTEOUSNESS (see Ps.119:172), whivh are by
Jesus Christ, unto the glory of God" (Philippians 1:10,11).
"Let this MIND be IN you, which was also IN Christ Jesus"
(Philippians 2:5).
"And be found in Him, not having my OWN righteousness, which is
of the law, but that which is through the FAITH OF Christ, the
RIGHTEOUSNESS which is of God BY faith" (Philippians 3:9; with
Galatians 2:20 and Ps 119:172)
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE, whatsoever things
are VENERABLE (margin KJV), whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever
things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things
are of GOOD REPORT; if there be any VIRTUE, and if there be any
PRAISE, THINK on these things" (Philippians 4:8).
"Beware lest any man spoil you through PHILOSOPHY and aVAIN DECEIT,
after the TRADITIONS of men, after the elements (margin KJV) of
the WORLD, and NOT after Christ.....Wherefore if you be dead with
Christ from the elements (margin KJV) of the WORLD, why, as though
living in the world, are you subject to ordinances (tough not;
taste not; handle not [lots of those in the Lent season] which are
to perish with the using) AFTER THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN?"
Colossians 2:20-22).
"Mortify therefore your members, which are upon the earth, fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetness,
which is idolatry" (Colossians 3:5 - read it in the Amplified Bible).
"But now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy,
filthy communications out of your mouth. Lie not one to another,
seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds"
(Colossians 3:8,9).
"Prove ALL THINGS, hold fast to that which is good" (1 Thessalonians
5:21).
"Even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power
and signs and lying wonders. And with all deceivableness of UN-
righteousness in them that perish, because they receive NOT the
LOVE of the TRUTH, that they might be saved. And for this cause God
shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.
That they might all be damned who believe NOT the TRUTH, but have
pleasure in UN-RIGHTEOUSNESS (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 -
righteousness is - Ps 119:172 - so you should know what UN-righteousness
is, and hence the TRUTH).
"But we know the LAW is GOOD, if a man use it lawfully. Knowing this,
that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless,
and DISOBEDIENT, for the UNGOLDY and for SINNERS, for UNHOLY and
PROFANE, for MURDERERS of fathers and murderers of mothers, for
MANSLAYERS, for WHOREMONGERS, for them that defile themselves WITH
MANKIND, for MENSTEAKERS, for LIARS, for PERJURED persons, and if
there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine"
(1 Timothy 1:8-10).
"If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to WHOLESOME words,
even the WORDS of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which
is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing NOTHING, but doting
about questions and strife of words, wherefore comes envy, strife,
railings, evil surmisings. Perverse disputings of men of CORRUPT
minds, and DESTINTUTE of the TRUTH, supposing that gain is god-
liness: from such WITHDRAW thyself" (1 Timothy 6:3-5).
"Having a FORM OF GODLINESS, but denying the power thereof; from
such TURN AWAY" (2 Timothy 3:5).
"And that from a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which
are able to m ake you wise unto SALVATION through faith which is in
Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:15 - salvation can be found just from
the Old Testament, with Jesus as Savior).
"For the time will come when they will not endure SOUND DOCTRINE,
but after their own LUSTS shall they heap to themselves teachers
having itching ears. And they shall TURN AWAY their ears from the
TRUTH, and shall be TURNED TO FABLES" (2 Timothy 4:3-4 - much of
modern Christianity is based upon fables today).
"Not giving heed to Jewish FABLES, and COMMANDMENTS OF MEN, that
TURN AWAY from the TRUTH" (Titus 1:14).
"They profess that they know God; but in WORKS they DENY Him,
being ABOMINABLE, and DISOBEDIENT, and unto every GOOD WORK
REPROBATE (void of judgment - margin KJV - Titus 1:16).
"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to
all men. Teaching us that denying UNgodliness and worldly LUSTS,
we should live SOBERLY, RIGHTEOUSLY, and GODLY, in this present
world; looking for the blessed hope, and the glorious appearing
of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave Himself
for us, that He might redeem us from all INIQUITY, and purify
unto Himself a peculiar people, ZEALOUS of GOOD WORKS"
(Titus 2:11-14).
"You have LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS (Ps.119:172), and HATED INIQUITY;
therefore God, even thy God, has anointed you with the oil of
gladness above your fellows" (Hebrews 1:9).
"There REMAINS a KEEPING OF A SABBATH (margin KJV) to the people
of God" (Hebrews 4:9).
"But now has He obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much
also He is the mediator of a better covenanr, which was established
upon better promises....For finding fault with them, He said,
Behold the days come, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant
....For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of
Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my LAWS into
their MIND, and write them IN their HEART; and I will be to them
a God, and they shall be to Me a people" (Hebrews 8:6-10).
"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,
says the Lord, I will put my LAWS into their HEART, and in their
MINDS will I write them. And their sins and iniquities will I
remember no more" (Hebrews 10:16,17).
"For if we SIN WILFULLY, after that we have received the knowledge
of the TRUTH, there remains NO MORE sacrifice for sins. But a
certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation
which shall devour the adversaries" (Hebrews 10:26,27).
WELL HOW'S THAT FOR PROOF TEXTING ONCE MORE? THOSE WHO SAY ANY
ONE OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS IS DONE AWAY UNDER THE NEW TESTAMENT,
HAVE NEVER READ ALL THE VERSES I'VE PRESENT TO YOU, AND A LOT MORE
YET TO COME!!!
