THE CONFLICT OF WORLD VIEWS by Pastor Bob Hallstrom The Conflict of World Views Part 1 With today's [message] we are going to begin looking at a subject I will call "A Conflict of World Views." Today I'm going to lay a lot of groundwork for things we'll be looking at in the next few [message]s. Life in this world is divided into two spheres: life in God's Kingdom, or if you prefer life in Christ, and secondly life in or of the world. The Lord Jesus Christ tells us in Scripture, at John 18:36, "My kingdom is not of this world." That is, Christ's Kingdom is not the worldly order of things that existed in that day. In other words, Christ's kingdom is not man's kingdoms of this world. But I will also state that Christ's kingdom is of and is in this world. But, Christ did not intend for us to ignore or abandon the world; rather, He specifically asked God the Father to keep us in the world but protected from its evils. The most fervent prayer Christ ever prayed was in the Garden of Gethsemane where He revealed some important Kingdom truths for Christians, and I want to read a portion of that prayer. I know it's lengthy, but it is critically important to what we are going to talk about, so please bear with me. So, turn to the Book of John, chapter 17, starting with verse 11, and going to verse 19 and we will begin with verse 11: 11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. In verse 14 we read that "the world hateth them." But, the world, as we understand the meaning of the word, has no capacity to hate -- but men do have the capacity to hate. So what men hated Christ and what men hated the disciples? Was it not the Jewish leaders of the Jewish state? So, in this regard, the disciples were not of the same mind set as the Jewish rulers. They no longer believed in Judaism but in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And was this not the reason for their being hated? Yes, the apostles were hated because they received Christ as the Messiah, they accepted His doctrine, and they proclaimed Him and His word. As we read the Acts of the Apostles we do not find the people in opposition to the Apostles, we only find the Jewish rulers in opposition to them. Thus in verse 11 when Christ states: "I am no more in the world, but these are in the world," this appears to be a reference to the Jewish rulers and their laws. That is, Christ will no longer have to deal with them for He is about to be crucified and ascend unto the Father, whereas the apostles will still have to deal with these Jewish rulers. Then in verse 12 when Christ says "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name:..." This could just as well refer to His being with them while they were subject to the influences of the Jewish rulers. And while subject to their influences, Christ kept the apostles fed with the truth of God's word and kept them from believing the fables being taught by the Jewish leaders. This seems even more clear when we take into consideration the first part of verse 14 which states "I have given them thy word." Now I ask you, what other word was available for them to receive if not the teachings of the Jewish rulers, and of the two teachings, Christ says "I kept them in thy name" or Word. Thus Christ taught something that was opposed to the Jewish leaders and in so doing he and his disciples became separate from the Jewish state and the "world hath hateth them." No! It was not the Chinese who hated them. It was not the Blacks that hated them. It was not the aborigines in Australia that hated them. It was the Jewish leaders. And the Jewish leaders hated them because they were not of this world order of things. They hated them because they became citizens of the kingdom of God, and becoming citizens of the kingdom of God meant renouncing citizenship in the kingdom of the Jews. The disciples, like Israel coming out of Egypt, came out of the Babylon of their day -- that being the Jewish state. The apostles knew that Christ was the Messiah, they proclaimed Him as such, they obeyed His commandments, and for that they were hated by the Jewish state. In this regard they were hated by the Jewish leaders who were the false teachers of that day. Likewise, in this day and age we have our false teachers and prophets who hate us because we will not conform to the things of this world. And I say unto you that any minister who is influenced by the nations or states of this world is a reproach to the Gospel of the kingdom of God, and when that influence affects his teachings, he is also a false prophet. But given Christ's prayer in John 17, we must conclude that when Christ said His Kingdom was not of this world, He meant, simply, that His Kingdom was not worldly, but in accepting Him and His kingdom we are not removed from the influences of this world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. And so, we are to remain in the world, but we are not to become part of the world system, because the world is a battleground and we Christians are His battle axes. In Jeremiah 51:20, Israel is told that: "Thou art my battle ax and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;" (Jeremiah 51:20) My brethren, we are to become sanctified, that is, we are to become dedicated to Him, and perfected and set aside for His service, and we are to become so right here in this world, because Christ makes this clear to us in John 17:17-19, which reads: 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Now, it makes perfect sense to me, as it should to you, that we, as Christians, should not practice or become a part of the very evil that Christ spoke of in John 17:15. To do so would be a huge contradiction, in fact, it would be pharisaical. But it would also be a huge contradiction if we should allow ourselves to be influenced in such a manner that we do not battle against the kingdoms of this world and the evil that Christ speaks about. For how are we to become sanctified, or separated from evil, except that we fight for the Kingdom of God and against the kingdoms of this world? Yes, my brethren, we are to be engaged in warfare and the fight is between the two kingdoms -- God's Kingdom versus the world's kingdom. Stated another way it is a conflict of world views -- the views of Christ and the views of this world. And that is why we are calling this series of [message]s "A Conflict of World Views." Our purpose in this series is to equip the saints, that is, to equip you, my brethren, for life and service in accordance with God's Word. Our purpose is as Paul stated in Ephesians 4:12 saying gifts were: "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" The Conflict of World Views Part 2 Welcome to Part 2 of our new series, called "A Conflict of World Views." In our last [message] I began to lay a foundation to enable you to understand what I mean when I say that the Christian world view is in conflict with the pagan world view. In brief review, I will say that all of life is divided into two spheres: life in God's Kingdom, or life in Christ, and secondly, life in or of the world. This sharp separation was made by The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, when He told us, at John 18:36, "My kingdom is not of this world." This, of course, was not a reference to a physical world but to rulers and the governments of the nations of the world. Although Christians are not to be of the world, we must always keep in mind that Christ specifically asked God to keep us in the world, but protected from its evils. In this regard, we read His prayer and our instruction in the Book of John, chapter 17, verses 11 through 19. In our analysis of those verses we learned that the world is a battleground for God's Kingdom, and we Christians are to live and learn the ways of God's Kingdom in the heat of the battle between the two kingdoms. But what do you suppose that I mean by the term "world view?" Well simply stated, a world view is how one looks at the world and the things of the world. Do we see the world as a field for God's harvest (Matthew 13:38)? Do we see the world as a school house for learning and living by God's law (Galatians 3:24)? Do we see the world as a lost cause to evil, to be avoided at all turns? Or, do we see the world as one big pleasure palace, where man can humanistically pursue self-improvement or self-debauchery, or sin, as he pleases? And so, you see, how and what we believe is how we will live our lives. We can identify the particular world view of any given individual by observing if a person is living for the benefit of God's Kingdom or living for the benefit of the kingdoms of the world. If we believe in God then we should live a life consistent with that belief, and that means if we believe in the ways of the world we also live a life consistent with that view. Oh, sure, we can try to live a double life, saying we believe one thing but thinking and acting another way. But even the best disguised hypocrisies and hypocrites will eventually be revealed for we read in Luke 8:17: "For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad." And so, as we seek righteous judgments, and divide God's Kingdom people from the kingdoms of the world, we must dissect the conflict of the two world views. We must determine what it is we must pray for and against, and what it is we, as individuals, must do for God's Kingdom and against the world. And the only way to properly identify and dissect the views is to be informed about the world's affairs from a scriptural standpoint. It has been said that a man who can read but will not, has no advantage over one who cannot read. Likewise, I would say, what good is scriptural knowledge if we just sit on it while the world goes by, and while the world, so to speak, goes to hell in a hand basket? Likewise, what good is it if we are the brightest, most well informed Christians and patriots in the country, if we do not know what the King of Kings would have us believe, understand, and do? Think about that: What would He have us Believe and do, believe and do. I repeat this phrase because one necessarily affects the other. That is, what we do is the result of what we believe, and likewise, what we believe is what we do. What we do then is our works, which always follow faith, or what one believes. In support of this I will read from James 2:17-18: 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. The Bible plainly teaches us that life is comprised of domains, or kinds of governments, from self-government, to family and local governments, all the way up to national governments. The most basic form of government is the individual himself. The individual is governed first by God, and because God deals with the conscience and spirit of man, the individual is said to be "self-governed." Wherever you work, there is a government, a government ruled by supervisors or the owner. At home, the government is led by the husband and then the wife. At church, the pastor, elders, and members all play a role in church government. The same goes for town, city, county, state, and national government, no matter how imperfect those governments may be. Thus, in every government and in each activity of life, we live in religious devotion to one world view or the other, regardless of whether we are conscious of how this works, or even whether or not we are conscious of having any religious belief. Of course, as Christians our belief is not merely religious, it is true faith. But, unfortunately, most of us go about the things we do with little awareness of the effect of our belief and our world views. In one respect, we Christians who adhere to the Kingdom message have a healthful reliance on scripture, that is, to the extent that we understand the Bible, we know that if we act in accordance with it, our actions will be proper and pleasing to God. In this regard, we know that the Word of God is true and works in our affairs. But, in another respect, we sometimes misperceive and misuse knowledge and information, which also impacts on every part of our lives. Even worse, sometimes we are unaware that our misperceptions and misinformation have such an adverse impact, and sometimes we are unwilling to deal with the problem we have of living lives in a manner consistent with our faith. But, the enemies of Christ are not so unaware or so uninformed or misinformed as we. And so, while we have some protection in trusting God and His Word, He has placed the responsibility on us to learn and practice His Word "in this world," and so, we often suffer needlessly by shrinking away from being informed, and from actively applying Scripture in our every-day affairs. In short, most Christians seem to have little regard for the development and practice of a Christian world view. But the enemies of Christ are very good at developing and practicing an anti-Christian world view. They are in the world, and of the world, and they use every means and every bit of information and influence they can to bring men captive to it's world views. Nor are the enemies of Christ shy about perfecting their anti-Christian world view, even if it means confronting one another and scrapping one ideology and developing another from scratch. In short, the enemies of Christ recognize that this life is not a sojourn, it's not meaningless dribble, it's a life-and-death war for the souls of men. So, knowing that the two opposing world views are always operational in life, it becomes important for the Christian to know what is going on in this world and the conflict between these world views. It is important for us to know whether a current event, political affair, or scientific or technological development is motivated by Christianity or by Christ's enemies. It is important for us to know whether we are feeding ourselves, our children, our families, and our homes to the raging heathen or whether we are building them for the glory of God. And make no mistake about it, it is quite possible to be a "good Christian" and to be plundered by pagan wolves. My brethren, you must know the importance of the conflict we are in, the conflict between Christian world views and anti- Christian world views. And you must be able to relate news, current events, politics, religion, etc., to our Christian world view. Without this understanding all the information in the world, would just be so much "tinkling" noise, as the Apostle Paul says, as you would not be able to use it properly. Now on our next [message], I want to relate to you some news and views in this war of world views, because as responsible Christians we must learn to develop a scriptural awareness of the war between these world views, and of events that touch our every- day lives. Another thing I want you to know is that we who are associated with these "Herald of Truth" broadcasts are not shirkers. We will not go along with modern evangelicalism's surrender strategy of shying away from preaching God's Kingdom and Christ's victory over worldly, pagan kingdoms. The Conflict of World Views Part 3 Welcome to Part 3 of our new series, called "A Conflict of World Views." In our last two [message]s, I laid a foundation which should enable you to understand what I mean when I say that the Christian world view is in conflict with the pagan world view. In brief review, I want to again state that all of life is divided into two spheres: life in God's Kingdom, or if you prefer, life in Christ, and secondly life in or of the world. This sharp separation was made by The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, when He told us, at John 18:36, "My kingdom is not of this world." This, of course, was not a reference to a physical world but to rulers and the governments of nations of this world. Although Christians are not of the world, we must always keep in mind that Christ specifically prayed to God that He would keep us in the world, but protect us from its evils. In this regard, we read His prayer and our instruction in the Book of John 17:11-19. In our analysis of those verses we learned that the world is a battleground for God's Kingdom, and we Christians are to live and learn the ways of God's Kingdom in the heat of the battle between the two kingdoms. The battle between God's Kingdom and the kingdom of the world is best analyzed in terms of world views. That is, by comparing scripture to events happening today, we can more easily detect what influences or events are from God and which are not. And so, we must be able to relate news, current events, politics, religion, etc., to our Christian world view. Without this understanding, the testimony of Christ is diminished, and we, the Remnant and Church, come under the same judgment as our nation for our having failed to be salt and light against the kingdoms of the world. In short, without action on our part, we will see the demise of our Christian Western culture, for whether you recognize it or not, it is being destroyed before our very eyes. And I say unto you, my brethren, we Christians can no longer afford to muddle through life surrendering ourselves and our families to the world's kingdoms. And I would suggest that we do so every time we ignore current events in light of Scripture. In this regard, our being caught up in popular media lies, in the squandering of savings and investments, and our involvement in bad politics, makes Christians no different from pagans. Therefore, to get us sharpened up, we're going to review just a few current events from a scriptural view, to show you what we mean when we speak of the conflict of world views, that is the Christian view and the world's anti-Christian view. And we want to get you into the habit of always thinking and acting consistently with our Christian world view. But then you ask me, how do I know there's a battle of world views, between the Kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world, going on today? Well, I dare say that this battle can be seen all around us, in virtually everything that man does. This war is an all-consuming conflict, and those folks who don't take it as such are easily swallowed up by the world. That is they become a part of it. Now I recognize that many of our listeners realize perfectly well that we are engaged in an all-out war, and react accordingly. But we must not fail to recognize that the same is true for the enemies of God. For example, take the unhappy couple, George and Tina Rollason, of York, Pennsylvania. George and Tina have taken on their local school district because, as anti-Christians, they oppose having the Bible in the school library, and seeing angel decorations at Christmas. By getting involved in community activism against Christianity in the public schools, the Rollasons have had the opportunity to meet many fine Christian parents, who are on the other side -- people who cannot separate their Christian faith from their children's education. After meeting these Christian parents and their children, the Rollasons took notice of the fact that many Christians and their children had biblical names. In response to this situation, George and Tina decided to name their coming child something just the opposite. So, not too long ago, when their baby girl was born, George and Tina named their daughter, now listen to this, they actually named their daughter "Atheist Evolution Rollason. Can you imagine that? -- a precious, little, newborn baby daughter, stuck for life with the hideous name "Atheist Evolution." Yet the baby girl's unlikely name is simply the reflection of the parents' beliefs. The Rollasons' chosen battlefield for the conflict of world views is the public school system. And so, they have chosen to salute their kingdom and demonstrate their loyalty by fighting for atheism and evolution in the public schools, and their daughter will be a vivid reflection of their ideology. Based on this and many other examples, it is clear that a large number of people understand the importance of education when it comes to shaping a child's world view, be it Christian or anti- Christian. But one thing is for certain, Scripture teaches that a child is to be brought up in God's Word, as Proverbs 22:6 states: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." When a child is not brought up in the way he should go, which is the way of Christ, the way of truth and the life, then it is logical to conclude that that child will fall by the wayside, and more than likely will be educated in the anti-Christian world view, which is the pagan view of things. And this leads me to the next logical question: if folks will so easily and publicly give their families over to paganism, what else will they do for the worldly kingdom and against God's Kingdom? Will they kill? Well, the Bible says that they will. God's Word at Leviticus 18:21, and chapter 20, describes a terrible form of child sacrifice in which babies are placed in the super-heated, glowing brass arms of the idol Molech. And you say, Pastor Bob no one would do that in this day and age. Well let me ask you something: if our children are raised and educated as pagans in the public school system, aren't they as good as dead? Certainly they are brain dead. In this regard, the public education system has largely become a killing ground for pagans at war against the Kingdom of God. It is a place where children are drilled and filled with error and social propaganda that glorifies the state. Another effective killing ground for the kingdoms of the world against Christians is in the arena of politics. For it is in adulation and ultimately the idolatry of politics that parents are brainwashed with anti-Christian ideologies. In politics parents join other adults in a common religious belief that man-made solutions can solve our most pressing problems. But when man looks to himself for solutions to life's problems rather than to God, that form of belief is called secular humanism. And make no mistake about it, secular humanism is a religious belief, and not merely a philosophy, as even its own experts and leaders agree, not to mention the Supreme Court of the United States. Sometime in the near future we will, on these [message]s, take a closer look at the religion of secular humanism and how it affects our daily lives. But anyhow, many years ago, politics used to have an honorable meaning. The word "politics" comes to us from the Greek language, meaning, "relating to a citizen." We find the same word used in Ephesians 2:12, regarding the citizenship of Christian Israel: "That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:" So there was a time when the Israelites at Ephesus were aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, a time when they had no hope and were without God in the world. Certainly God has always been in the world but prior to this Israel was in the dispersion and without God in their world. That is God was not made a part of their society. But no longer, for now they had been redeemed and God was once again made of a part of their society. This is such a clear reference to the "commonwealth of Israel" in the New Testament, and made at a time when the political and geographical nation of Israel no longer existed, and this verse clearly points to an anticipated political and geographical reunion of those exiled Israelites with the ways of God. In Christian "politics," then, active citizenship in the "commonwealth of Israel" is very important, especially citizenship in our modern-day commonwealth of Christian Israel. As we have previously discussed here on other [message]s, most of the American Founding Fathers and most of the American settlers recognized that this country was the reformation of Christian Israel. The early Americans first called their States "commonwealths," because they held in common the belief in Christ and the supremacy of Scripture in matters of government and politics. The Conflict of World Views Part 4 World views are two-fold in nature. First we have God's biblical view of things, which I have labeled the Christian world view, and then we have the opposite of that -- the Anti-Christian world view. All of life is divided into two spheres: that is, life in God's Kingdom, or life in Christ, and secondly life in or of the world. This sharp separation was made by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, when He told us, at John 18:36, "My kingdom is not of this world." This was not a reference to a physical world but to rulers and the governments of nations. And so, although Christians are not of the world, we must always keep in mind that Christ specifically asked God to keep us in the world but protected from its evils. And so, we read His prayer and our instruction in the Book of John 17:11-19. From these verses we learn that the world is a battleground -- a battleground between God's Kingdom and the kingdoms of this world -- and we Christians are to live and learn the ways of God's Kingdom and act accordingly, in this heated battle between the two kingdoms. And finally I relate to you the importance of understanding the "commonwealth of Israel" and that Christians are to understand God's kingdom and claim citizenship in the kingdom of God, here on this earth. And so I would conclude that the Kingdom message is part of the Gospel message. Actually to be correct we should say that the Gospel message is part of the kingdom message. But anyhow, no Christian's world view is complete unless one recognizes the place and importance of the Israelite identity of the Anglo-Saxon peoples. For no other people inherited and then proclaimed the Gospel message in fulfillment of Bible prophecy, and no other people established free and prosperous nations in accordance with Kingdom principles. No sir, the only nations so organized were nations organized by the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, and kindred peoples. But as we look at politics today, the have virtually nothing to do with the average citizen, and everything to do with evil rulers who don't relate to citizens in any way except to control and manipulate them. "Politics" has come to mean the corruption in the practice of government, and from the last election it appears that many if not most Americans agree with that statement. In addition, the most recent public opinion polls show that less than 30 percent of the American public trusts or admires congressmen, which is an all-time low! With such a low approval rating, one would think that Americans would at least wonder about the fundamental reasons why modern politics and politicians have failed. But Why? Why I ask you aren't Americans rejecting the same old pagan world view that motivates "politics-as-usual?" The reason, of course, is the masterful deception practiced by manipulative politicians. We have crime so we need a crime bill. We have high medical costs and so we need government health care, and the list is endless. Those holding our Christian world view, are always asking questions about those who govern and the ways they govern us. Pagans, on the other hand, are not so inquisitive, and I think that is so because they have an implicit, sold-out trust of political parties and political theories which they depend upon to save mankind and to elevate mankind to what they think is the next step on the evolutionary scale. But when we ask questions and dig into the happenings of politics, we soon discover that political parties are but carefully nurtured front groups for such elitist groups such as the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderbergers. For example, the "infamous" GATT treaty passed the Senate with the blessing and assistance of Senator Bob Dole. Folks, I want you to know that this is a sell-out of some kind, for even the people in Dole's own state do not want GATT. I know for certain that I and many others disapprove of GATT. Then why is Senator Bob Dole selling us out on this particular issue? I suspect that getting GATT through the Senate was his ticket to running for president in 1996. It's simple, No GATT, no presidential nomination. But what a sell-out, and yes, my brethren it is a sad state of affairs when we are sold out by the greed of one of our own brethren. When we dig a little deeper, we find that the proposed policies of these elitist organizations cannot and are not implemented any other way except through politicians who legislate policies to the betterment of, or perhaps I should say to achieve the goals of those organizations. You see, now that communism has supposedly disappeared, the U.S. Government is hawking several new "Big Enemies" in the public policy marketplace, waiting to see which one catches hold and gains the support of the news media and the deceived voters, for the purpose of milking the voters for all the taxes they're worth. The list of "Big Enemy" candidates includes humanitarian intervention in foreign countries, socialist health care for an allegedly broken down medical system, crime fighting (which apparently entails gun control and a number of other measures, which actually fight for crime and not against it, and we mustn't forget the international trade scam which is the basis of creating a one-world economy. For example, one of the latest so-called world "problems" being addressed by elite organizations and their bought-and-paid -for politicians is something called "The Threat of the New Global Network of Organized Crime."(1) And so we now have a new "Big Enemy" being touted, which combines aspects of crime fighting and international trade. It is claimed by so-called experts and their associates -- politicians -- that the reason why free governments have not formed previously in the former Soviet empire, is because of the rise of nationalist gangsters.(2) And in response to this, the U.S. Government, as a branch of the New World Order, is doing what it typically does, it sticks its nose in where it doesn't belong, and therefore it indirectly involves you and I in its intrusive activities. For example, in the newly reunited Germany there have been many new successes by so-called "right wing" groups in local elections, and they want to limit immigration and stiffen criminal prosecution and penalties in response to a national crime wave carried out by foreigners. They also promote rallies championing traditional German identity and pride. The Liberal and leftist politicians in Germany have been unable to stem the tide of conservativism and nationalism, and so they made a phone call to the policeman of the New World Order. That's right, the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government answered the call of leftist German politicians with pleasure and they dispatched F.B.I. Director Louis Freeh to Germany, where Freeh promised to help German leftists censor political discussion by the force of government censorship and prosecution. You see, German nationalists have been receiving books, literature, tapes, and materials of this nature from Americans. And so, it is obvious that the New World Order only wants the radical left to have access to political materials, and, thereby, it desires that only the radical left have a voice in politics. F.B.I. Director Freeh, as a water carrier for the New World Order, landed on German soil, met with politicians, and told the German media: "We will look into the case to see if we can help the German authorities pursue any criminal acts under (German) laws or decide whether there has been any violation of U.S. laws."(3)Freeh went on to add: "There is a fairly fine line where an individual may go beyond mere speech or expressions and begin to aid or abet" what Germans believe are crimes in their country.(4) Now, under the Christian world view, we must look at Director Freeh's words and actions and ask ourselves two things: What is the F.B.I. doing in another country, helping them formulate and carry out their domestic policies? Second, and most disconcerting of all; why is Freeh apparently determined to interpret U.S. law under a leftist German or New World Order context, and thus limit the freedoms of expression, press, and association? But anyhow, under leftist German and New World Order criteria, any biblical or conservative publication or broadcast could possibly be ruled as a threat to the state, and thus prosecuted, just as Christians were in the former Soviet Union. In the pagan world view, there are no rules of conscience or self-government. The ultimate irony is that when non-Christians take office, they are under a mandate from voters to behave exactly as they believe, and of course, that is, without morals or scruples. And so, we should not be surprised when these politicians are true to their world view. It is also in politics that we see the most extreme forms of deception and manipulation take place, because the stakes are so high. In politics we witness mere men, grouped in governmental bodies, typically loyal to a worldly, anti-Christian world view, making decisions and taking actions affecting the lives of thousands and even millions of men, women, and children. In politics we witness men organizing in ever-larger circles of power, to avoid accountability and to enlarge their influence. They also increase their power and influence by creating false enemies and mechanisms of control that affect all of us. I have already mentioned that the alleged fall of communism in the Soviet Union leaves the U.S. without a single, large enemy by which politicians and their elite supporters can siphon off American wealth to pay for arms programs and military build-up. We have seen that communism, was also used as a political crowbar to justify all sorts of government programs and excess, including the use of communism itself to mask the creation or expansion of government bureaus that actually operate on communist principles, such as the Office of Special Investigations (or OSI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (or BATF). As we have already seen, the U.S. Government is never slow to act on instructions from certain special interest groups. For example, the OSI has been responsible for harassing and deporting American citizens for serving in the German military during World War 2, alleging that these citizens took part in the so-called "Holocaust." Many of these citizens are deprived of due process of law and some have been proven to never have served in the military or to have ever taken part in alleged brutalities. Yet the OSI continues to press these cases, to try these poor people in the media, and to intimidate other countries to prosecute them. In at least one case, the highest appeals court in the land issued a written opinion accusing the OSI of official misconduct and inappropriate activities. And what happened then? Well, the appeals court judges were branded as "anti-semitic"! And why? Well would you believe it is because the OSI is staffed and directed by Jews. In fact, the OSI proudly flaunts its Jewish make-up and support from a Jewish constituency, including the World Zionist Organization, the largest Jewish political organization in the world. We can usually count on some of those special interest groups to brag about their respective influence, and, indeed, such is the case here. For example, F.B.I. Director Freeh held a closed-door meeting with the Conference of Presidents of American Jewish Organizations, a group described as "the nation's main Jewish umbrella group."(5) No press release or official documentation of the meeting was made by Freeh's office or any representative of the Department of Justice or U.S. Government. But the chairman of the Jewish Conference, Lester Pollack, bragged in the Jewish newspaper "Forward" that Director Freeh has reallocated F.B.I. agents and finances to take care of Jewish complaints. The significance of these developments is startling. Not only must we as Christians see through the usual political mumbo-jumbo by applying our world view to situations, we must begin to admit to ourselves that the governments of the world, consistent with their loyalty to worldly kingdoms, have now begun to respond directly to and to take orders from the enemies of Christ. The political promotion of the idea of making war against some international crime ring sounds a lot like the so-called war on drugs waged by former President Bush. And as it turns out, Bush's own CIA had been responsible for controlling much of the drug trade in the Western hemisphere. That's some kind of war, is it not? -- Waged by the very people actually responsible for the problem to begin with. There was an underlying reason for the war on drugs, just as there is for the war on international crime. And that reason is control, and control comes about by collapsing the existing moral and institutional order of the Christian West. The real international crime wave affecting Americans is caused by immigrants, just as it is in Germany and other Western nations. For example, during the 1980s the Chinese Triad or "snakehead" gangs smuggled nearly 110,000 illegal aliens into the U.S.(6). By 1993, the Chinese snakeheads were hauling in more than 80,000 illegal aliens per year, bringing the total to some 270,000. This influx of Chinese criminals amounts to war. Can you imagine the headlines if 270,000 Chinese troops landed on our soil? Well they have -- only these troops are engaged in urban warfare, in drugs, in gambling, in prostitution, and they are bastardizing our people by intermarrying with the American population. Claire Sterling, author of a new book called "Thieves World," supports the supposed need to fight crime on a global basis and states: "The most maddening tangle has to do with the exchange of police information, which is central to everything. If interlocking crime cartels are ever to be driven back, the war starts here (since) sharing information across borders is often restricted by national policy."(7) There you have it. National policy is to be destroyed, so that the New World Order can share information across national borders about who is saying what to whom -- and about Christian Israel's opposition to the tyranny of the New World Order. Our Christian world view informs us that National policy is actually the solution to international crime, through immigration and citizenship restriction. Simple, huh? And so, my brethren, today we must fight a defensive war in the conflict of world views, a war using scriptural wisdom applied to current events. Then perhaps we can avoid the traps and tyranny of the anti-Christian kingdoms of the New World Order. FOOTNOTES:
