Who wrote the book of Job and the other books of the Bible?

I have a biblical question, does anyone really know whom wrote the book of Job, I must say the author must have been a prophet or some man that GOD spoke to because in Job 1 and 2, the author knew that GOD and Satan had conversed and talk with one another. Nick I'm happy to tell you I'm gaining my faith back.  Also is it true that all the books in the bible were written by different men of GOD?

Hello Lance, praise God that he is touching your heart!  That is a gift that we could not place a value on, the gift of faith.  Before we answer your questions, may I share your favorite Bible verse that you sent along with your question?

As you know, when someone fills out the form to submit a Bible question they are asked what their favorite Bible Scripture or Biblical story/event is.  Someday soon we might post all those Scriptures/stories in an anonymous format for all to see what other Christians are touched or moved by in the written Word of God.  

You sent us:  "Job chapters 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 Where GOD speaks to Job directly face to face."  We agree with you that must have been both powerful and humbling to Job.  We who overcome in this lifetime shall all one day live with God in Heaven and He will also converse with us face to face.  What a time that shall be!  And it will be eternal, no more pain and sorrow, no more death and disease.  God said so, and He don't lie: "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began" {Titus 1:2}:

Rev 21:1-7 (John, the scribe of the book of Revelation, speaking of Heaven, which he saw)
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

You noticed that I put as the italics 'running heading' for the above Scripture: "(John, the scribe of the book of Revelation, speaking of Heaven, which he saw)".  I referred to John as the 'Scribe' of the book of Revelation instead of the 'Author' of it.  This is most accurate, for while John did put 'the pen to the paper,' our Heavenly Father Almighty God is the author and finisher of the Bible and all it contains.  You ask: "is it true that all the books in the bible were written by different men of GOD?"  

Oh yes lance, chosen men of God were touched by the Holy Spirit and they were moved to write what God told them to write, they wrote down the words that God wanted us to have today and forever to obey and to be comforted by.  Let's allow the Apostle Peter, whom wrote the 1st and 2nd Epistles of Peter in the New Testament, tell us how the words in the Bible came to be written for mankind:

2 Pet 1:16-21
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  (KJV)

The whole of the Bible is written by some thirty-three different men (exact number disputed), but as you study and become more familiar with God's Word you discover that it appears to be written in the same style as though it was authored by one in the same entity.  There is a very good reason for this, while the Bible was put to pen and paper by many different men over a long period of time, the content of the sacred writings are directly from Almighty God, holy and unbreakable.

God, through the Holy Spirit (which is simply the Spirit of God) moved those men to write the various books of the Bible.  God had them to write what He wanted written.  Thereby God was able to interrelate the sixty-six separate books that make up our Bibles.  It is like one giant puzzle where every piece fits perfectly into its place in relation to all the others.

Just as God Himself wrote the Ten Commandments, He also had the rest of the entire Bible written through the pen and paper of man, but always by the power and the influence of His Holy Spirit.

Exod 24:12
12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.  (KJV)

Moses was not yet alive to witness many of the events that he wrote of which are contained in the beginning of the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible - Genesis through Deuteronomy), for Moses was born in approximately 1571 BC and Adam and Eve were from 4004 BC....

Nor was St. John, who was the author of the book of Revelation, to be living when the events of that last book of the Bible (Revelation) came to pass.

For Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible in, say, 1490 BC, which was some 2500 years after Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, but Moses wrote of them in great detail even giving the names of their  descendents with their life spans, that was before man even invented writing, even going back further in time to the first verse of the Bible {Gen 1:1}.  this could not Moses do alone!  

And what about St. John, he  wrote the book of Revelation in AD 94, which was at least 1900 years before the events where and are to come to pass.  Yes these men wrote those books, but God through His Holy Spirit guided them as to what to write.

Jesus Christ is the Living Word of God, and the Bible is the written Word of God.  When the Bible utilizes the statement: "The Word," it is a powerful statement indeed:

John 1:1-5 (Jesus is "the Word" being referred to here)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (KJV)

Rev 19:13-16 (Jesus at His prophesied second advent)
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. (KJV)

It is important that we fully understand that the words in our Bibles are the Word of God and they are unbreakable promises paid for by the blood of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.  And once it is understood that the words in the Bible are God's words, written by men under the influence and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, then and only then can we hope to benefit from the teachings that God incorporates throughout the entirety of His holy written Word the Bible.  You cannot pick and chose what you will or will not believe in the Word of God, either it is all true or it is all a lie, either you believe that the Bible is the inspired and preserved Word of God or you do not, there is no middle ground, there is no such thing as 'a little faith,' either you believe or you do not.  

Is the Bible the vain words of mere men or it is the Holy Spirit inspired Word of Almighty God?  What saith the Word of God on the matter?:

2 Tim 3:14-17
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Oh yes lance, the Bible is the written Word of God, scribed by holy men of God who were moved to write the words that we read in our Bibles yesterday, today and forever!

As touching on the book of Job, there is much uncertainty and disagreement as to by whom and when the book book of Job was written.  But the book of Job probably is the first book written in the Bible, even before the book of Genesis was written.  To answer your question, I will reference the matter with the writing of Dr. E.W. Bullinger from the Companion Bible, the Bible that I strongly suggest you acquire:

NOTE ON THE DATE AND AUTHORSHIP OF THE BOOK OF JOB
By Dr. E.W. Bullinger

A lengthened account of the discussion of these questions would be without profit. 

But, if JOB was the son of ISSACHAR (Gen 46:13), then we have a clue that may help us to a decision of both. 

It is better to keep within the Bible itself for the settlement of its problems; and to treat the whole Book as the context of all its parts.

There is no reason why Job should not be the son of ISSACHAR, and no better evidence is forthcoming for a different view.

The three friends of Job were descendants of ESAU; they would therefore be contemporaries.

ELIPHAZ of TEMAN, in Idumea, was a son of ESAU, and had a son called TEMAN, from whom his country took its name (Gen 36:10-11).  It was noted for its “wise men” (Jer 49:7); and is mentioned with EDOM (Amos 1:11-12).  Compare (Jer 25:23) where both are connected with BUZ, the brother of UZ (Gen 22:21). 

BILDAD the Shuhite.  SHUAH was the sixth son of ABRAHAM by KETURAH (Gen 25:2); and is mentioned in connection with ESAU, EDOM, and TEMAN (Jer 49:8). 

ZOPHAR the Naarnathite.  NAAMAH (now Na’aneh, six miles south of Lod, in the lowlands of Judah). 

If Job was the son of ISSACHAR (Gen 46:13), he would have gone down to Egypt with his father.

ISSACHAR was forty at “the going down to Egypt “. (See Appendix 50, III, p. 52 Companion Bible).

If JOB was the third son (Gen 46:13), he would have been about twenty at that time (1706 BC). 

We are told that he lived 140 years after his “double” blessing (Job 42:10).  If that “double” blessing included length of years, then his age would have been 70 + 140 = 210 (i.e. three seventies of years).  His lifetime would be from 1726-1516 BC. 

According to this, he was born the year after JOSEPH was sold, and died 119 years after the death of JOSEPH (in 1635 BC).  When JOSEPH died, Job was ninety-one.  If his "double" blessing did include length of years, then his affliction took place twenty-one years previously, when he was seventy. His removal from EGYPT to UZ must therefore have taken place earlier still.

When Job died (1516 BC) Moses was fifty-five, and had been in MIDIAN fifteen years (twenty-five years before the Exodus). 

This would account for Job being a worshipper of the God of ABRAHAM, and explains how Moses could have been the author of the book, and perhaps an eye- and ear-witness of the events it records in Midian.  If so, the time has come (as Dr. Stier foretold and hoped*) when this book would be regarded as “the Porch of the Sanctuary”; and when this “fundamental wisdom of original revelation will cease to be ascribed, as it now is by some of the best, to a later poet in Israel. “

Jeremiah chapter 35 explained; specifically verse 19 (Kenites)

Answer:

Hello Shanoa, interesting question.  First of all you must understand that chapter 35 of Jeremiah is a parenthetical chapter (Jeremiah goes back here to explain a preceding event, See {Jere 25:1; 26:1}).  To understand the 19th verse (the last) of Jeremiah Cpt. 35 we must understand several other things first.  Below is the verse in question:

Jer 35:19
19 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before Me for ever. (KJV)

Ok, we need to understand just who ‘Jonadad‘ is, who his father 'Rechab' is, and subsequently who the 'Rechabite' (of Chpt. 35, verse 2) peoples are.  They are Kenites!

Shanoa, I do not know on what level you study so I will take this whole issue and bring it all the way down to the base.  If you already know some or all of what I am going to be teaching on the subject then please don’t feel that I am speaking down to you.  For there are many newer Bible students who study with us and we want them to be able to fully understand your question & answer as well.

Ok, first we will document that Jonadad, Rechab, and the Rechabites are Kenites, then we will explain who the Kenites are and who thier father (greatest ancestor0 is. 

1 Chr 2:55
55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.  (KJV)

So the people that God is speaking to in our {Jer 35:19} are Kenites.  But who and what are Kenites?  Kenites are the offspring of Cain - the first murderer (in Garden of Eden).  Below we post the definition of the word 'Kenites' from the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance:

Kenites:  Hebrew word #7017 Qeyniy (kay-nee'); or Qiyniy (1 Chron. 2:55) (kee-nee'); patronymic from #7014; a Kenite or member of the tribe of Kajin: 

#7014: Qayin (kah'-yin); the same as 7013 (with a play upon the affinity to 7069); Kajin, the name of the first child, also of a place in Palestine, and of an Oriental tribe:  KJV-- Cain, Kenite (-s).

So now we further see that our Jonadad, Rechab, and the Rechabites are Kenites, who are the descendants of cain (the first murderer).  But who was Cain's father?  It was not Adam as many today teach.  Eve was Cain's mother but the serpent in the Garden (satan) was Cain's father.  We have an in-depth Bible study that fully documents this if you have not been taught the fact.  The study is WHAT WAS THE REAL SIN IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN?!?, but to simply put it here:  

Cain and Able were twins, but they were what is called Fraternal Twins (having been conceived at two different times, in this case by two different fathers, but developed in the same pregnancy in two separate water sacs in the same womb).  This happens to this very day, ask any Nurse or Doctor.  Sometimes the Fraternal Twins are conceived by the sperm of the same man at two closely spaced intercourses, and sometimes the sperm of two different men.  I'm sure that you have heard of Twins and then Identical Twins, and then there are even today born Twins of different races as is the case of Cain and Able.

I know that this may seem remarkable to one who has never been taught this before, but take it for granted for now and then after this study read the WHAT WAS THE REAL SIN IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN?!? study and it will be settled very well in your mind.  It also will open-up the interpretation of many Scriptures to your mind.  One example below will show you that Jesus Christ Himself taught that satan has progeny (offspring) on this earth.

Below, Jesus is speaking to the Kenite Jews (not all Jews are Kenites!!!).  These particular ones below who call themselves Jews are not Jews, but rather Kenites who mixed in with the Tribe of Judah (see: In the Bible, who Are The People Of The House Of Israel, the House Of Judah, The Jews, And The Kenites?). 

Please note the capitalization of the letter  'F and f' in the word 'Father and father' as it is variously used!  It represents the presence of the definite article in the original Greek Manuscripts.  Father is Almighty God, and father is satan:

John 8:38-45 (Jesus speaking to the Kenites)
38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ye do the deeds of your
father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your
father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.  (KJV)

Ok, I hope that explains that our "Jonadad, Rechab, and the Rechabites" are the descendants of the devil (satan, the serpent in the Garden of Eden).   

Now lets again look at {Jer 35:19} and at what God said to them:

Jer 35:19
19 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before Me for ever. (KJV)

So what is God saying here in the 35th chapter of Jeremiah?  He is saying that the children of the satan listen well to satan, but the children of God do not listen to God well.  Here is God's pronouncement to His people:

Jer 35:14-16 (God speaking to His disobedient people)
14 The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father's commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.
15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
16 Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me  (KJV)

God allows satan to have power on earth (although satan is locked away physically till the end time when he comes as the false christ - the antichrist.  (See: THE ANTICHRIST).  God allows this to fulfill the negative part of His prophecies.  

The Kenite Jews (not all Jews are Kenites!!!, and you can't tell which is which without spiritual discernment, so don't even try.  God said to leave them alone {Mt 5:25}), the ones that Jesus was speaking to in the above Scripture when he called them the children of the first murderer, were the same ones who rejected Him and called out to the Romans: "Crucify Him, crucify Him" {Lk 23:21}.  They rejected Jesus then and they shall reject God and Jesus forever.   These Kenites (which are among us even today) can still find salvation if they believe upon Jesus Christ.  But it appears that they are right where they want to be, with their father satan doing his evil works.  

Thus God told them that they shall always reject God because their ancestors (the Kenites, descendents of Cain, the offspring of satan) taught them to.  It is just the very evil nature of them, they are of the adversary satan and they are by nature predisposed to be against God just as their father satan is against God alway: "A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit" {Matt 7:18}.  Let's read our verse one more time:

Jer 35:19
19 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before Me for ever. (KJV)

Approximately 524 years after God spoke the above verse to those Kenites (and Jeremiah the prophet recorded it in our Bible) the descendents of these Kenites delivered the Son of God up to the Romans for crucifixion with a false witness (A.D. 29), they then sealed the deed by yelling: "Crucify Him, crucify Him" {Lk 23:21}, just as their fathers Jonadad, Rechab...Cain, satan (serpent) wanted them to.

Where do Homosexuals stand with the Bible and God?

I can't thank you enough for your great studies and info.  Can a Christian HOMOSEXUAL who continues in that lifestyle be saved even if that person doesn't realize the true WORD OF GOD entirely and how it effects them...Can they be saved at what point? WOULD these people be the ones in the millennium that need to be taught?  Since I work at a high school I see first hand this situation and how it can effect the problems created. THE law says we can't discriminate, but what do we do and how do we handle it?

Thank you Diane for the kind words.  Homosexuality is a sin like all other sins, it can be forgiven through repentance to God in the name of Jesus Christ.  However, God felt that this was a serious sin among other sins, for God put a death penalty behind it:

Lev 18:22
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.  (KJV)

Lev 20:13
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.  (KJV)

Obviously our society does not execute Gays and Lesbians, and we are supposed to live by the laws of our land {Titus 3:1, 1st Pet 2:13-16}.  Homosexuality is also spoken against in the New Testament but there is no death penalty mentioned.  I only state that because there are 'unbalanced' people who would read something into that.  No one could be condemned under God's law without a trial: "One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established." {Deut 19:15}, and we don't try Homosexuals in our day so don't anyone think that I am advocating death penalties for Gays.  In fact, in the Old Testament the sin of adultery also carries a death sentence, as does idolatry...  Enough said about that.  God will do the judging and He will administer punish in a number of ways.

Rom 1:26-28
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient  (KJV)

1 Tim 1:8-11
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Sin is sin, you must repent of every sin you commit or you will be 'charged' with it on Judgment Day.  But a Homosexual who has perverted sex with another of his/her gender is no more or less in jeopardy of going to Hell than I would be if I went over to my neighbors house and committed adultery with his wife - we would both be in danger of the Judgment!  But then if after the sin was committed, myself and the person who had engaged in prohibited gay sex both were to repent to God for our sins and try harder not to commit them again, then that particular one incident of sin would be forgiven by the Blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ for both of us (if we are Christian believers).

What if we do it again?  Well we better be trying not to, for God is not one to be 'toyed with,' but He understands the weakness of mankind.  repentance means to have a change of heart, to understand that what was done was wrong, and to have a mind to try to change.  You cannot simply just go through the motions of 'repenting' to cover your b*tt, you must be sincere;  And no, you don't need a Priest to repent with, you repent to God in personal heartfelt prayer (simple words from your heart to your Heavenly Father), not to some man out loud, who may be worse off than you!  Along with repentance, ask God for the strength to overcome the urge to participate in whatever thing you are having trouble with, God will help you. 

Matt 11:25-30
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.  KJV)

Heb 13:5-6
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. KJV)

But sin and salvation are two separate things.  Salvation is a gift of Grace by God to us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  We must believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, who died on the cross, rose again the third day, and is seated at the right hand of God.  Do that and you have fulfilled the 'minimum requirements' (for lack of a better term) for salvation:

John 3:15-21
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.  (KJV)

But there are rewards in Heaven that last an eternity "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." {Rev 19:8}, these rewards are for those who please God.  Pray to God to help you with your weaknesses, He will!  But there is something far worse and evil indeed going on with the 'Gay issue' than the Gays going about their disobedience.  There are supposed men of God, preachers/priests that are telling Gays that what they are doing is Ok with God now.  

These false teachers/preachers will bear the sins along with those that they have mislead.  There will be far more false teachers who lie about God's Word in Hell than there will be those deceived by them!  But God be the Judge, and thank God for that, for if man were our Judge none of us would have a chance.

Jer 23:19-27
19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

I'll close this with an excerpt from elsewhere on this site along with a picture of a Priestess preaching at the foot of the Altar to little children wearing the 'Gay Pride' colored scarf over her priest robes - how nice.  Oh well, I guess 'anything for a buck' in the churches now-a-days - sad!

Alternative lifestyles, Homosexuality, and Lesbianism

        Its against God's law, even though satan's false teachers/preachers whom have infiltrated God's Ministries say it's a-okay.  And no this is not an attempt to 'gay bash' anyone, not anymore than we would 'adulterer bash,' or 'thief bash' anyone.  We do not have the power nor the right to judge anyone.  But they also do not have the power nor the right to say that sin is not sin.  And we are to discern the right from the wrong, and it is not passing judgment on someone to observe that they go against what God tells us in His holy written Word, the Bible, because the next thing you know they will be having our children doing it until the wrong becomes right and the right becomes 'ignorance' or 'prejudice.'  How far are we really from that now?  

Isa 29:16
16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?  (KJV)

        In our churches today, over-tolerance is diluting the Word of God and allowing satan's false religions to creep into Christianity. Just one example of this is that instead of Christians refraining from perversion, the so-called false preachers are creating entire congregations for homosexuals embracing the activities that God commanded that should not be done. They even dare to raise the standard (flag) of 'gay-pride' in the house of God (notice the 'Gay Pride' rainbow colors on the scarf of the Priestess in photo at right).  (The caption reads: Rev. Karen L. Hutt conducts the children's message service before the mostly black and gay congregation at the Church of the Open Door on the Southwest Side [Chicago]).  

        It is by tactics like these that satan will so blur the lines between good and evil, right and wrong, true and false, that God's truth will be lost to a deceived world.  It is that pitifully deceived world that will be led into the great apostasy of worshipping the false christ (antichrist) thinking him to be the True Messiah.  

        And they dare not object for fear of being 'Politically Incorrect,' they just trudge through their useless (to God) lives with an 'anything goes' tolerant attitude that will allow satan to have his way with God's children.  

        The saddest and most revolting fact of all is that the Christian has been brainwashed into thinking that 'tolerance' is what God wants from His people;  Or they have been scarred out of making a stand, either way they are of no use to God in these troublous times, they are part of the problem.  

        'Tolerance' simply means that you agree not to stand against anything no matter how wrong or perverted it is.  God knew: 

Rev 3:15-17
15    I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 
16    So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 
17    Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.  (KJV)

Homosexuality is a sin, but like any sin you commit, God can forgive you of it through the Blood of Christ if you ask and believe upon Him.  Honest and heartfelt prayer to our Heavenly Father will help you overcome those urges, just as with any self destructive urges like adultery, alcoholism, pornography, drug addiction, obesity....

        And NO!  God did not make gay people that way!  That's just a lie from those with a gay agenda.  Babies don't have sexual desires, but as they grow up they are influenced by perversion and the 'dare to be different' syndrome.  If an adolescent as they first begin to experience sexual urges meet with a Homosexual who gratifies them sexually, then they (the adolescent) will unconsciously identify gay sex with pleasure.  Then place that poor deceived adolescent into our modern world where those who knew better remained mute for fear of censure, while the perverted with ungodly agendas constantly placed Homosexuality on the television, in movies, rock videos, newspapers, Constitutions, billboards - what do expect?  And who really failed God more, the Christian or the Homosexual?!?   In most mainstream Universities it is now considered 'cool' to be bi-sexual.  And AIDS victims are somehow considered 'victims of the struggle.'  Despite what the corrupted compromised media propaganda machine tells you, it is some 1000 times harder for a man to get AIDS from a woman that from another man.  But the press has sold it's soul long ago.

Just as with any addiction or perversion you will only be in bondage to it as long as you don't stand up and resist it.  Satan's false teachers/preachers tell you that it's okay, and that God made you that way because they want you to continue in the sin.  Misery loves company and the damned feel they can usurp God by popular opinion,  convenience, and sheer numbers.  God however, does not rule by popular opinion.

God does not honor satan's lies.  When some fallen priest/pastor tells you Homosexuality is Ok with God, God does not honor that fools statement, and these men speak with no authority from God, even though they say they are men of God and dress like them.  We are no more born gay than we are born adulterers or thieves, it's all about choice and obedience.  If you enjoy being 'different' and disobedient, satan then moves into your heart with all manner of perversion.  If you ask God to help you do the right thing and live according to His Word, He will!!  And He knows none of us is perfect, He only wants us to try.

        There are Ministries on the Internet that are run by ex-homosexuals who help others out of the cult.  Though I cannot endorse thier particular doctrinal teaching without studying it and comparing it to what the Bible teaches, which is something we all must do when studying the Bible with any group (especially on the WWW).  But they may be like the AAA who help people get off the booze, maybe they can help you 'get off the guys.'  A little pun there - sorry.

Where is antichrist (satan) between the time that the Fallen Angels (Locust Army) appear - and when he (satan) sets himself up as a false god (false messiah) on the earth?

Answer:

        Wow! Excellent question, and thank you for the kind words.  Allow us to back up a bit and fully explain the situation you are asking about for any newer Bible students who might happen across this.  As with all the questions we answer on this site, the answers are geared in such a way as to benefit as many people as possible, both newer and more seasoned Bible students.  So don't be offended Betty should it seem as though I am over-explaining something that you already understand.  Take from the answer what you will, and others will also take what they need to know from it.

Ok, in the 5th Trump in the book of Revelation we see the Locust Army (the fallen angels) being released from the Bottomless Pit {Rev 9:2-3}.  

Later we see the beast (satan, antichrist, lucifer, devil, serpent...all the same one entity) that ascended out of the Bottomless Pit make war with the Two Witnesses of God and kill them {Rev 11:7}.

Betty's question, if I read it right is this:  "Do the fallen angels and satan (antichrist) both go into, and come out of the Bottomless pit at the same time?  And whence came they there?"

Ok, this is gonna get complicated, like I said, it is a very good question.  To answer your question about if the fallen angels and satan act in concert (i.e., together), we supply:

Rev 12:9
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.  (KJV)

And:

Rev 9:11
11 And they
[the Locust Army that came out of the Bottomless Pit] had a king [satan the antichrist] over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.  (KJV)

The natural next question would be: "if satan is cast from Heaven WITH his angels {Rev 12:9}, then who are the Locust Army (fallen angels) that are released from the Pit on the earth in {Rev 9:11}".

That brings up the further question as to whether the Bottomless Pit is an actual physical place on earth or a state of degradation and some 'other-worldly' or 'other-dimensional' holding place of spiritual beings with a portal on the earth unknown to mankind.  

We know from the below Scripture that the Bottomless pit is definitely a place that the evil angels and demons do not want to go:

Luke 8:30-31
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they
*1 besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep*2.  (KJV)

Explanations from above Scripture: *1they: =  The devils (demons) that were possessing the man.  *2deep: = This place the demons did not want to go is called "the deep" in this verse, but it is the same Greek word that is translated to "the Bottomless Pit" in other Scriptures, i.e.,  {Rev 9:1,2,11, Rev 11:7, Rev 17:8, Rev 20:1, 3}.  It is one and the same place:  "deep" = Greek word #12 abussos (ab'-us-sos); from 1 (as a negative particle) and a variation of 1037; depthless, i.e. (specially) (infernal) "abyss": KJV-- deep, (bottomless) pit.

There is also 'another' place mentioned in Scripture of a holding place for certain fallen angels, this place is called Tartaros in the Greek.  This word Tartaros is only used once in the entire Bible and it is the place where the fallen angels of {Gen 6:2} are currently being held.  This word was simply translated as "hell" in our English Bibles, but this is not the same as the "hell" used elsewhere in the Bible.  This is a special mysterious place.  

 Jude 1:6
6 And the angels
*1 which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.  (KJV)

Explanations from above Scripture:  *1angels = The fallen angels of {Gen 6:2} (sons of God - the Fallen Angels) that left Heaven and impregnated flesh women {Gen 6:4-5}, causing the Flood of Noah to be necessary to destroy their offspring which were called the Giants (the Nephilim in Hebrew, or: 'the fallen ones').  Below we see them mentioned again.

2 Pet 2:4
4 For if God spared not the angels
*1 that sinned, but cast them down to hell*2, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;  (KJV)

Explanations from above Scripture:  *1angels = The same fallen angels of {Gen 6:2}.   *2hell: = Greek word #5020 tartaroo (tar-tar-o'-o); from Tartaros (the deepest abyss of Hades); to incarcerate in eternal torment:  KJV-- cast down to hell.

So in this we see that there are different places, or different 'levels' of confinement for angels who sin against God.   Some in Heaven {Rev 12:9}, some in the Bottomless pit {Rev 9:2-3...}, and some in Tartarus {2nd Pet 2:4}.  Are all these places in the same place?  Are all these places the same place?  We don't know, at least I don't know, I guess that there are some things that man isn't to know.   But when it's all said and done we shall know, because in Heaven we will be "as the angels" {Mt 22:30} in spiritual bodies with full recall of the first earth age - that is the reason that God deals so harshly with a fallen angel, satan being the chiefest one. 

It would remove a lot of difficulty if we were to allow that there are different 'classes' of satan's angels (as there are of God's Angels) and that they have different specific duties to be carried out at certain different times (as do God's).  Would it not?

And do not confuse the first beast of {Rev 13:1} and 'it's' "42 months" (3½ years);  with the "42 months'  (3½ years) of the second beast and his 'crew' in {Rev 11:2 & 13:11}, this later being the same as the "time, times, and a half" (3½ years) of {Dan 12:7}.  

To further complicate matters, the time of the second 3 1/2 years has been shortened to 5 months in {Rev 9:5 & 10} by the grace of God for His Elects sake, spoken of by Jesus in  {Mt 24:21-22, & Mk 13:19-20}.

There are two beasts, one (the first of {Rev 13:1}) is the one-world religious/political system: "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." {Rev 13:1}, it is not supernatural but rather simply a corrupt one-world system (new world order) that has united after some global near catastrophe (deadly wound {Rev 13:3}), and it rises up out of the sea (the peoples {Rev 17:15} waters = peoples, nations):  "saw a beast rise up out of the sea" {Rev 13:1}.  

The second beast is the antichrist (satan): "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." {Rev 13:11}, he rises up out of the earth (Bottomless Pit): " And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth" {Rev 13:11}.  This event is synonymous with: "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." {Rev 12:9}

Perhaps a brief synopsis would be helpful to tie this all together:  

The one-world system (first beast {Rev 13:1}) which is in place in the end-time, suffers some unstated catastrophic event (deadly wound).  The second beast (satan, antichrist) appears on the earth with his angels and mends the rift thus solidifying the one-world system (first beast) under his direct control.  The Elect of God resist this system all the way, are arrested (probably as enemies of God, the false god antichrist who is no god!) and testify at councils against antichrist.  The two Witnesses of God {Rev chapter 11} witness against satan's one-world system which now worships satan as the impostor christ, the antichrist.  The world believes that satan is in fact the prophesied Messiah and most worship him in ignorance - at least at first.

The antichrist kills the Two Witnesses of God thus violating the absolute order given in among other places, in:  {Rev 9:4}  "...but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads."   Three and a half (there's that number again!) days later Almighty God raises the Two Witnesses back to life and they ascend into Heaven in front of the whole world.  We are now within one literal hour of the Apocalyptic cascade of events that constitute the end of this flesh age - the Second Advent of Jesus Christ Son of God with great wrath and fury.  

Satan is bound in the Bottomless pit for one-thousand years - the Millennium, then the loosing of satan again from the Bottomless Pit to test those taught in the Millennium, satan and those following him encircle the saints of God and prepare to destroy them, but God intervenes and devours His enemies, satan is cast into the Lake of Fire, then comes judgment day, those who have not overcome are cast into the Lake of Fire where satan is, the new Heaven descends to earth, the Lake of Fire is dried up with it's inhabitants so thoroughly blotted out that there is no memory of their very existence even, and then God dwells with His children (us) on this earth as He did before the fall of satan and the rebellion in the first earth age.  All that offends is gone, and the age is eternal.  Praise God!
