Timeline Charts,
With Principle Events;
From Adam to the destruction of Jerusalem:
4004 b.c. -- a.d. 69.
We have below
reproduced 25 charts from the Companion Bible by E.W. Bullinger showing the principle
events in time sequence. Seeing them on a graph such as
this enables the student to get a more clear picture in their
mind of when the events transpired in relation to other Biblical
events.
The reader will at once notice an 'inconsistency' in the dating compared to currently held norms. The reason for this is that Bullinger adjusted for the Lo-Ammi periods.1 'Lo-Ammi' in the Hebrew means "not my people," the Lo-Ammi periods are a series of spans of time (10 of them) when Israel (all of Israel first and then Judah after Israel was scattered) was placed into the captivities because she transgressed against the Lord, and the Lord thus said that Israel is "not My people." The Lord was so angry at Israel (for idolatry) that He cast them aside and did not even 'remember' the years.
So Bullinger, adjusting for the Lo-Ammi periods, based his dating on what he called Anno Dei reckoning (in God's Time). For instance, common reckoning places the fall of Samaria and the taking into captivity of Israel (when Israel 'ends') at 721 b.c., but taking into account the Lo-Ammi periods, and using Anno Dei reckoning, this event occurred in 611 b.c..
In Ap 91 of the Companion Bible, the perfection of this dating (and God's prophecies) is beautifully illustrated. For in that appendix, it shows the times of Daniels '70 weeks prophecy', and how they perfectly align, to the exact year, i.e.,
The prophecy gives 70 sevens:
the seven sevens (49 years) start at 454 b.c. (Anno Dei reckoning) and end at 405 b.c..
From the end of the seven sevens, (in 405 b.c.) the threescore and two sevens (62 sevens) is 434 years which end at the exact year of a.d. 29, that is the identical year that MESSIAH was 'cut off' (crucified), just as the prophecy stated five centuries prior, that He would be cut off at that time.
Thus, once again, we see that God's Word, and His words, are perfect! Without factoring-in the Lo-Ammi periods, when Israel was "not my people," the prophecy does not align. Thus, that the knowledge of the Lord's Lo-Ammi periods is of the utmost benefit to the deeper student of God's Word should be immediately realized, for all prophecy takes these several 110 years out of reckoning. See Ap 91 for a more thorough treatment. Also see footnote.1

hosts several archives of Bible studies such as these by the Watchmen Bible Study Group. Although we are not affiliated with this or numerous others using the term Watchman in their names, we believe it important keep the full content intact for research and analysis for Bible students of future generations. We keep it available as good members of the body of Christ, for Christian unity. We do so on a non-profit basis. As the original owner's site went offline years ago, no one has paid to keep it online but us. We pray and hope such ministries are more careful about having successors to carry on their works in the future. Although we do not agree on every point of doctrine, we still believe it very important to not edit any of the original contents.
Our own statements of beliefs are found at www.CelticOrthodoxy.com,
