Hello, if you ask most any Christian who the first human being was, they will undoubtedly tell you that it was Adam. They will tell you that Adam and Eve were the first two people on earth and that they ate the wrong apple and ruined everything. Well these are just two of the many falsehoods that we have been taught over the years in the Churches and Bible Study Groups the world over. And like any errant teaching, and unfortunately there are many, the only real way to dispel with the false is to supply the true, always documenting the facts through the scriptures of God's Holy Word, The Bible. Adam and Eve's sin in the Garden is fully covered in the What Was The Real Sin In The Garden Of Eden? in-depth Bible Study. In this present study we are going to focus on:
These were in fact two separate 'creation' events separated by the seventh 'day' of rest, that 'day' of rest being one-thousand years in man's time. The six days of creation, and the seventh day of rest are one-thousand years each in man's time:
Why, and from where, comes the misguided opposition It really stems from a noble idea and good intentions, I suppose, they feel that to teach that Adam was formed separately and after the rest of mankind that this would feed into 'racist thought.' They feel that it is 'elitism' or 'racial superiority' to claim that all men are not from the same initial parents. For, to them, all men are related, they are all descendants of Adam and Eve. But they have no right to change God's word to their liking based upon their own misconceptions and ideas of racial one-ism. These are those who love to use the "one blood" statement in to support their theories that all men are from one common set of parents (i.e., Adam & Eve).
But race is not determined by the blood, it is determined by DNA which is in all parts of the body; our DNA is in our skin, our bones, our hair, our teeth, our blood, our saliva, our fingernails, etc. So to say that the above (one blood) means that all races are from one parent race is inaccurate, that simply isn't what the above Scripture is teaching. But what then does determine race? DNA does. When a mixed race couple produce a child, the child receives a portion of BOTH parents DNA, that is why the child has a mixture of racial characteristics, he is partly of BOTH races. Now blood was not what he was conceived from, he was conceived from sperm and egg. This is where race is determined. There is no blood in sperm nor in the egg, and when they conceive children in test-tubes they do not introduce blood. This same word for blood used in the "one blood" Scripture is used in the below Scripture. In this Scripture we can see that blood is indeed separate and different from the body (flesh). While there is not 'Black blood,' there is Black (Negro) flesh, while there is not 'White blood' there is White (Caucasian) cranial (skull) structure, while there is not 'Pigmy blood' there is Pigmy body geometry (shape & size), while there is not 'Oriental blood' there is oriental (Asiatic) DNA, etc...
So we see that the body (flesh) is different from the blood. While all races may have the same blood types they do not all have the same bodies. A father can pass on a hereditary disease through his DNA, not through his blood. We could take another's blood into us and remain genetically the same, but if science ever is able to fuse the DNA of two races then the race of the candidate will be be a mixed race, the product would be a new race that is neither fully one race or fully the other race. Nature does this automatically when parents of two races merge in childbearing. Consider this, if I, a white man, gets a blood transfusion from a black guy do I then become partly black? No. And suppose that I was in a catastrophic accident in Africa on vacation and while during surgery my entire blood supply had been replaced by blood from black people, would I turn black? No. And after I healed and those transfused blood cells died off naturally, would my body produce 'black' blood cells? No, I would produce my own blood cells, the same ones that I always produced. Much confusion arises from old sayings such as "blood relative," "blood ancestor," "my own flesh and blood," etc. But these are just sayings of man, terms that were coined before science ever knew of anything called DNA, long before there where DNA Paternity tests and so on. It is even more confusing when they call these paternity tests "blood tests" they are not blood tests, they are DNA tests of the DNA contained in the blood. It is true that DNA is in blood, but it is also in every single cell of your body, blood is just an easy way to extract and test for it. Nowadays, Police are taking swabs of peoples inner cheeks for the DNA that is contained in the dead skin cells that brush of with the saliva because it is less intrusive but just as reliable. Blood from whites, blacks, Hispanics, etc, can be used in other races, so blood does not determine race. So when we encounter the Scripture wherein it is written "And hath made of one blood all nations of men" it is not speaking of the genesis of the separate races, but rather the separation of the peoples upon the earth. reread the Scripture below paying particular attention to the underlined words, for they set off the subject.
Even now evil men are combining the DNA of humans and animals creating abominable hybrids which they (say that they) terminate (kill) after the fourth or fifth cell divisions. (In one case, recently, Geneticists have mixed DNA from a human and DNA from a pig - an ultimate insult to God, for a swine is an unclean animal by Old Testament standards. In fact, when the Gentiles (the Babylonians) wanted to defile the Temple of God at Jerusalem they sacrificed a pig on it's Altar.) But anyway, that is one way that mainstream Christianity is amiss (by thinking that all races come from Adam & Eve); lets look at how the 'racist originations' go wrong. On the other side of the coin, you have many 'white racist groups' (not that all Racists are white, for they are not) that take this teaching (the two creation events) and errantly use it to support their racial dogmas. They are further embolden because of the fact that Adam was a white man.
Some of these organizations actually teach that the sixth day man is the "beasts of the field" of Gen 1:25. But they err in more ways than one; for instance, the "beasts" in Genesis chapter one are called "beasts of the earth," the "beasts" in Genesis chapter two are the ones called "beasts of the field." In this study we will show that the beasts of the earth in Genesis chapter one (Gen 1:25) are the wild animals and the beasts of the field in Genesis chapter two (Gen 2:19) are the domestic and farm animals made for Adam to work. Now they know that Adam came first, so why do they refer to a creation AFTER Adam as being the Gentiles (sixth day man), i.e., the beasts of the field?
That is a fundamental flaw in their theology; their chronology and/or their interpretation is off-base. That is not the only flaw in their racist theories, for through Christ Jesus all can be adopted into the Kingdom of God. These racists give us Bible students a bad name, for we sometimes get 'lumped in' with their racist groups because we realize from the Scriptures that God created different races. It's not fair, nor true, but it happens nonetheless. You will encounter this yourselves when you teach the Bible as written; don't think that satan doesn't have a hand in the misrepresentation. We will clear-up many racist theories in this study and we will do it with the Word of God, not man's words. But remember, there is vast difference between being a racist and being racialist. The Bible is very racialist, for there are so many different races mentioned in the Bible, but this is not so-called racist, it is rather racialist. Racism is hate and prejudice based solely upon difference in race. Racialism is the observance of the inherent differences among the various races and tribes of mankind. They are there, they are real, and we need to deal with them honestly. So basically what I am saying is that they are both a little wrong and they are both a little right. The mainstream Christian denominations are wrong in that they think that Adam was the first human and that all races 'evolved' from the Caucasian race; and the racists are wrong because they think that all races other than Adam's race are lesser servile humans, or not fully human at all.
not all racists are white Anglo-Saxons. Jews also believe that all races (Goy or Goyim) other than 'Jews' are "beasts," not humans: Excerpts from the Jewish Babylonian Talmud (Judaism's Holy Book):
So you can see that racism and hate span a broad spectrum of peoples, not just the (Jewish Mass-Media manufactured) stereotypical "white guys (hillbillies)" living in a shot-gun shack somewhere in the backwoods of Montana or Idaho wearing white hoods and burning crosses. If Racism is going to be dealt with effectively then we need to be honest about it; there are Racists among all races. Why lie about it, why make it to be that only Christian strait white males can be racist or intolerant of others different from themselves? And blacks are not exempt from having racist and hate mongering ideas either, haven't you ever heard of Farrakhan or Malcolm X? Or how about the quotes below from popular and vocal black speakers:
And even the very popular Spanish language newspaper is called La Raza (The Race). So perhaps now you can see why this present study on the origin of the different races is far more important than many may think on It's surface. The powers that be (the bad ones) use this as a stumbling stone and as a method of dividing Christians. They bring race in where race is not an issue, this practice is called "race-baiting." This is by design, evil design. So wherever ignorance of any stripe is allowed to fester, error will follow. But racism is not the only reason
that satan causes this two creation event teaching to be misconstrued
and twisted, he also uses it to attack another core Christian belief, that
being that God created the world and everything in it.
Observe the below: Why it is so important for the Christian I recently had a conversation with a Christian Pastor of a mainstream Christian denomination (Lutheran) at his church. He was a likable fellow who seemed to pride himself on a strict adherence to Scripture. Surely he loves the Lord as much as any other Christian. We had a conflict of opinion, he and I. I said that God created all the different races of people just the way they are today, and that He was happy with His work. The Pastor however took slight offence and stated that there is only one race, that being the Human Race. His answer naturally begged the question that why then is there all the different races of peoples on the Earth? He answered me and said that it was due to a phenomenon called Variation of the Species. I realized that he was not in any mood to change his views and to be forced to admit that he had been teaching an error for some forty years in the church, so I let the issue rest there. Should I have continued I would have asked him why then have the supposed Variation of the Species ceased their 'variations?' Today, if two people of unmixed race have a child, that child will be of the race of it's two parents; i.e., two black people will have a black child, two white people a white child, etc. The reason that I discontinued the debate with the Pastor was because for me to have gone any further I would have had to tell him that what he has been teaching in the Church, a major Christian denomination, to God fearing Christians, has another name; that name is EVOLUTION. Though I'm sure that he would adamantly deny that he supports any such ungodly idea as The Evolution of Man; however, he teaches one of it's major tenet's unawares. This is where ignorance has led our Pastors and Priests.
The concept of entirely new races arising from Variation of the Species is the same as the theory of evolution by NATURAL SELECTION.
So much for evolution or any variation of the species. But it is forced upon our children in school, ourselves through Television and printed media & books, and now sadly, even in our Churches by Ministers who know not. Why do the ministers teach falsehoods like this? Perhaps well meaning and perhaps in ignorance they seek a way to combat racism. They errantly think that God should not have made different races, that we should all be cookie-cutter people. But the acknowledgement that there are different races is not racism, that is the carrot and stick that satan uses to beguile the ministry and made what were supposed to be servants of God into His opponents. The end-times Priesthood has been duped by the subtle one from the Garden of Eden, and now they find themselves unwittingly saying along with Serpent: "Yea, hath God said...?" (Gen 3:1).
The Pope John Paul II is also on record as saying that he (and the Catholic Church Universal) believes in a form of evolution. The Pope is the man considered to be the 'spiritual leader' of one-sixth of the planets population (that being the one-billion Catholics worldwide). News item:
Guess what the so-called "opposite hypothesis" that the above quote by Pope Pius XII is? Yep, it is that God is creator. To the Pope, the Creator God is an "opposite hypothesis" to evolution, and he deems the evolution lie to be "worthy of a more deeply studied investigation and reflection"!!! It's enough to make you sick; no wonder Catholicism is a dead soulless religion and the Catholic Church a house of idolatry! These are Church leaders!
You can bet that I won't be calling any of the "Father!" But then we
aren't supposed to call Priests and Clergy "Father," "Rabbi,"
or "Master" either "But be not ye called Rabbi:
for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call
no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in
heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even
Christ." (Matt 23:8-10). But men do it anyways, to their own
shame, before God. The acceptable term for a Minister of God is
"Pastor" (Jer 17:16), "Deacon" (1 Tim 3:12), and "Bishop" (Phil 1:1).
Pastors and Popes ought to be teaching what God's Word says on creation, not making apologia for it (making excuses about what God meant and why He said what He said), or softening the truth so as to 'get along' with everyone that isn't Christian - whom therefore have no faith in God's Word (for they are disobedient to it's message). Creation or Evolution?
But the fact that a Christian Pastor (the Lutheran above) would teach this errant theory (Evolution, and/or, variation of the Species) in a supposed Christian Church is the very reason why it is so important for the lay-Christian to understand fully what God says on the matter of race and creation. In other words, in this sorry day and age you had better do your own studies in the Bible and not trust some compromised Clergy to teach you. For, sadly, the hungry-for-truth student of the Word of God is not going to be fed in the mega-denominations of the day. They just teach the same errors that were taught to them, passing them on like a virus that some day shall culminate in a complete breakdown of faith; it is then that antichrist shall step in with a whole new plan. Christ told Peter to "Feed my sheep" (John 21:16), but the corrupted priesthood eat a different meal, quite a bitter pill for their sin and error regarding God's Word; for God speaks of them: "I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall" (Jer 23:15). Just because some man says that he is a Priest or Pastor or teacher of God doesn't make him one. For many it is just a secure job, for some very profitable. Does not even satan and his false ministers pretend to be good and godly?
You don't have to eat wormwood and drink gall with the corrupt Priesthood, you need not rely upon them for your spiritual food, for God has made it so that you would have his Word for yourself (the Bible) to discern truth from. The Priesthoods of the earth have been compromised by the forces of evil and now are an hindrance to the Great Commission (Mark 16:15), not the carriers forth of it. For they destroy truth as soon as it appears that they may keep their traditions and power. There is a day of reckoning coming. Just look at what folly the Priest-craft and money-changers in robes and suits at the pulpits have wrought with God's Word - gay preachers, evolution theories in the Churches, Rapture fantasies... It is high time that the preachers be usurped, for they have failed God terribly; and who can save them! Let's see What Saith the Lord on the matter, for that should be the last word for the child of God on all matters Biblical, Spiritual, Doctrinal, and Scriptural.
Before we begin our work in the Scriptures allow us to offer the below chart so that the student is aware of what this study is ascertaining. After this chart we will begin our in-depth analysis of the applicable Scriptures. Bear in mind that the word aadam in the Hebrew (or aw-dawm, etc.; various spellings acceptable through transliteration differences) is translated to our English word "man" thus mankind in English would be in the Hebrew something like adamkind. This adds not a little confusion to the matter. In other words,
There is a great difference between the creation event described in Genesis chapter one and the forming event described in Genesis chapter two. Many say that chapter two is just a rehash of chapter one with more info added in. This is not true, let's look at the fundamental and irreconcilable differences between the two creation events in the two chapters that render it impossible that they speak of same event. Adam and Eve were not the first people on the earth. The Creation event in Gen 1:27 is different that the Gen 2:7 Forming of Adam in the Garden of Eden and separated by at least a thousand years time, most probably more. Below is a chart with two columns, the column on the left pertains to all of mankind other than Adam (the sixth day Creation ); the column on the right pertains solely to Adam and his offspring, his 'tribe' (referred to as the ‘eighth day’ Forming).
But probably the most striking evidence that Genesis chapter One and Genesis chapter Two are not speaking of the same event would be:
This immediately dismisses the misconception that the account in Gen 2 is merely a deeper explanation of the events in Gen 1, as many will say and teach. For if it were, then God 'messed up' on the order of His creation, which is of course impossible. When God and man are at variance, man is always wrong and God always right. Let's now go to the Creation Scriptures themselves for further evidence and documentation. We will be drawing upon definitions contained in the monumental work: Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, a must-have Bible study aid for the deeper student of the Word. Dr. Strong's Greek, Hebrew and Chaldee (Aramic) comprehensive Concordance and Dictionary of the Bible is respected over a wide spectrum of denominations and faith traditions. His work is the standard by which all other's are measured. Dr. Strong; S.T.D. & L.L.D, was a Christian Professor of Exegetical Theology at Drew Theological Seminary for many years. He lived between 1822-1894 and devoted twenty-seven years to the preparation of his Concordance. Also, be very careful for works out there claiming to be Dr. Strong's work but really just use his name and add to his definitions. Many (most/all) free internet so-called Strong's Concordance definitions are corrupt and added-to works. Also the crafty works that hide behind the name of Strong's but are really added-to impostor Lexicons (I speak of works such as The Stronger Strong's, etc.). Word to the wise! Lets begin our deeper study with a prayer to our Heavenly Father for wisdom and understanding of His True Word, in the name of the Messiah Jesus Christ. First let's read as God sets out to create mankind, all the separate races and ethnic peoples of the world are created in the below scripture. This is what is referred to as the Sixth Day Creation. Genesis 1:26
This is those whom we refer to as the Sixth Day Creation. We observed that male and female were created at the same time on that sixth day (after all the animals are created). We also notice that Adam and Eve are not yet on the scene, they will not be mentioned by name until the next chapter. The people created on the above sixth day, are all the separate races. All the distinct and diverse races were created on this sixth day. Someone asked me how it was that I knew that God created all the various races on this Sixth Day since it does not specifically say that there were different races created, just that mankind were created at the same time both males and females. I answered him: "Because they are here." The same as I know that God created the Dolphin and the Butterfly, though the Bible never comes right out and says that God created them by name. God created everything and everyone, "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1:3). There are two perversions of God's natural order, they are the Kenite (sons of Cain) and the Giants (the sons of the fallen angels from Gen 6:4), in both instances it was the specific females of Adam's line (family-race) that the females were taken from to fashion the abomination (i.e.; not of the Sixth Day peoples). God set these two events apart and dealt with them in the Scriptures, explaining what had happened. God created the differences in the races and he made them just the way He wanted them to be, He loves all His children. This is the significance of the use of the word "God" in these creation verses. As we saw, the word "God," is translated from the Hebrew word 'elohiym (el-o-heem'), and in English here it refers to: "God and the Angels". The Angels have individual looks and so do flesh mankind. Remember that the Hebrew word God ('elohiym) is a PLURAL word, i.e., more than one; but we know that there is only one Lord God (Yehovah 'elohiym). In the creation events in the first chapter of Genesis the term for God used is ('elohiym) but in the second chapter, before Adam was formed, we see the first introduction of the term Lord God (Yehovah 'elohiym). We will go deeper into this later, but for simplicities sake you can consider ('elohiym) here to mean God and the angels and (Yehovah 'elohiym) to be The God of (over) the angels. We will cover Adam and Eve in a moment, but lets lock this sixth day creation event in real good before we move on. The above mentioned peoples of this sixth day creation are called in the Hebrew Old Testament "gowy" and in the New Testament Greek they are called "ethnos." Ethnos is where we get our English word "ethnic" from. Both these terms appear in the Bible as "nations." Below is the Strong's definitions of "nations" in both the Old and New Testament Hebrew and Greek:
In our Bibles, the New Testament English words: nations, greeks, people, and heathen are all translated from the Greek word 'ethnos' and it is one of the Greek words used in the New Testament for those that are the races of the sixth day creation. Ethnos means: the individual races, all the races. They are mentioned all through-out the Bible as Nations, Gentiles, Peoples, and also referred to; Tongues, kindreds, and Multitudes. Some religions will tell you that only certain "peoples" will go to Heaven, of course common sense tells us that all of God's children have an opportunity to spend the eternity with our Heavenly Father if they believe upon Jesus Christ, but lets let God's Word do the teaching. The following two excerpts are taken from the book of Revelation, and they describe those of the various races of the sixth day creation as they overcame and entered Heaven:
There is no racism with God, He made us different looking, yes, but He loves all His children and members of all will participate in the eternity. So after this mass creation of peoples on the sixth day, God rested the seventh. And we will pick it up in the next chapter (Gen 2:4-7) where we will see that Adam and Eve were singled out for a different type of 'creation', and we will learn the reason behind it, for there was a very good reason. NOTE: We will now be going back to the Hebrew of the Old Testament, we just cited the above Greek New Testament Scriptures to show that the Word of God flows naturally from the Old through the New Testament and that the "nations" (Gentiles, non-Israelites) are indeed included in the eternal salvation plan of God.
This is what is referred to as the Eighth Day Creation; though whether it was the eighth day and not some other later day is not specifically mentioned in the Scripture; the point is that it was after the seventh day of God's rest which in turn was after the sixth day wherein all of mankind was created. The title "Eighth Day" is simply a term to distinguish it's events from the sixth day (the sixth was definitely so designated as being the sixth of seven).
Eve will be MADE (Hebrew word #1129) from Adam later in Gen 2:22. The reason for Adam and Eve being singled out from the creation of the rest of mankind is because that through the womb of Eve, umbilical cord to umbilical cord, would eventually four-thousand years later, be born the Messiah Jesus the Christ. The Bible is basically the story of one man's family and the peoples that they encounter through-out history. That is the history of Adams family, through which Jesus Christ would come. And through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, all peoples from all the Nations (eth'-nos in the Greek of the New Testament, & goyem in the Hebrew of the Old Testament) of the earth can be grafted into the eternal family of God in the eternity, in Heaven!
Our English word 'man,' is actually the Hebrew word 'adam'. This is confusing to the English reader because in English 'Adam' is always a proper name in English. This is not so in the Hebrew. For your comparison on the value of this word we submit the below explanation and analogy: In English we would say 'man' as opposed to 'mankind'. But in the Hebrew it would be: 'Adam' as opposed to 'adamkind'; which of course is not really a word, consequently raising the translation difficulty. The word 'man' as it is used here denotes: 'This same, this very self Adam' and is rendered in the Hebrew transliteration: 'eth-haa'aadaam ('eth being the Particle, haa being the Article, and 'aadam being "man"). The point being is that particular man from the Garden of Eden is a very special man, and is singled out in the creation history for reasons that we will cover later. But to settle it in your mind as to the difficulty, and thus, misinterpretation of the man from the Garden of Eden and the men from the sixth day creation, we submit the analogy below. Suppose that you had a son and named him 'Man.' Imagine the confusion it would present if you wrote a story about your son 'Man' going to the store with a man and a woman companion:
Now take that sentence, translate it into another language, and try to have people from another culture and time fully understand it two-thousand years later. This is the difficulty we are encountering here with (Gen 2:7). In the Hebrew certain words are given characteristics by the use of the Article and the Particle. In English we use a system of Capitalization to render this character. Observe our above analogy in the English once again, this time with the use of capitalization:
So we see that with capitalization the sentence is more clear; it is the same with the use of the Hebrew Article and Particle. For in the above we see that my son went to the store with two others, and while there, my son saw another person that he knew.
It was in His (the Lord God's) image that The Adam was formed. We know this because in the New Testament Jesus is referred to as the last Adam (we cover that fully later on in this study). The reason for this is so that there would be a direct genetic lineage from God Almighty Himself, through the man Adam (whom God formed), and through Eve (whom God took from Adam), through Seth, all the way down through successive generations, umbilical cord to umbilical cord, through which would be born Jesus Christ (who was a virgin birth from God through Mary). Thus Jesus Christ would be the perfect Lamb - without spot or blemish - the perfect and once for all time sacrifice, for the atonement of the sins of all mankind! He was of God physically and Spiritually. This is also why Eve is referred to as "the Mother of all living", for through her would come the Savior, Jesus Christ, and through Him all could live - eternally. Many read that Eve was the mother of all living, and confuse it to mean that she was the first woman. This is not so, actually, the word "Eve" in the Hebrew language means: "Mother of all living," the Bible interpreting it for you by saying "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living." (Gen 3:20). For Eve, and all other peoples could live eternal by the fruit of her womb, Jesus; hence it is written of Eve: "...she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety" (1 Tim 2:13-15). All the names in the Bible have meanings, and in understanding the meanings of the names in their native languages, gives us deeper insight into what the meaning of certain verses are. A Smith's Bible Dictionary will supply the meanings (translations) of every proper people and place name in the Bible. You can read a review of the Smith's Bible Dictionary in our Study Aids section section.
Let's take a quick look at the verse that documents that Eve was taken from Adam, even though I'm sure we all know of the account:
In the above, the words "a woman" has an Article. For this woman above is la'ishaah but a woman in general is simply ishaah. In other words this particular woman was made by God out of Adam, not that all women are made this way. This is further strength to the argument that the sixth day and eight day creations were different, for in the sixth day we see that "...male and female created he them" (Gen 1:27) but here in the eighth day we see that "...the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman...." (Gen 2:22). And with the Articles and Particles shown, which are not visible in the English languages, we have:
Do you understand what I am trying to relay here? This was a special event, no other woman was made from any other man by any other ribs. Eve was from Adam, but all other women were created alongside the other men in the sixth day of God's Creation. There is no way that this Genesis chapter two event regarding Eve can be construed as simply a further explanation of all the women being created in Genesis chapter one. This is an entirely different event with it's own peculiarities.
Many may tell you that we are just to believe what we are taught by man about God's Word (The Bible) and not to question the teacher/preacher because as they will say: "We just don't know why God did this ...or why God did that." This is what leads people into following false teachers. Blind faith is a tool of satan to mislead and deceive, for he may try to lead one into blindly following a lie. Never feel bad about searching the scriptures to find Biblical documentation about anything you are taught, that's the reason God ensured that we would have the Holy Scriptures. Many people gave their very lives that you could sit down at the table and open the Word of God. You do open it don't you? I know that YOU do because you are reading this study of the Bible; but not many do anymore. And would you not rather see a Bible teacher say to a student "I don't know the answer to that question", or "I cant document that in the Bible for you at this time", instead of him saying "We aren't supposed know that, ...just have faith brother, ...and believe what I am telling you". The reason that I make mention of this is because many who read this may be beginning students, and as a new student you will undoubtedly run into many different so called Teachers, Scholars, Clergy, Theorists, self appointed Prophets, Seers . . . who will lay all kinds of bizarre theories on you. My advice to you would be that if they (and you) cannot document it in God's Word (The Bible) then don't you believe it!! Be you not caught off guard, for there are indeed many out there, especially in this generation, that will misinform, mislead, and deceive you regarding the true Word of God. Some do it innocently out of their own ignorance of the Scriptures, some do it for your money, or some for their egos; and then perhaps the most dangerous of all, those who do it to purposely mislead you to the wicked one (satan). Yes they are out there, and most of them claim to men of God. After all, does the wolf in sheep's clothing ever tell the sheep that he is really a wolf? Or does the sheep find out when it is much too late? You know the answer. Now I know that in the beginning it is hard to understand the Bible, but it will get easier as you learn the methods and styles of its writings. It was all inspired by one author you know - God - through the inspiration of His Holy Spirit through the Prophets and Apostles. And yes, we are meant to understand it, as Jesus Christ Himself said in Mark 13:23 "But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things." Wow, that's a lot! And how did Jesus foretell us all things? In the Bible of course, none of us was alive 2000 years ago to talk to Him in person. OK, back to our current study. As stated, we will show the result of God's plan for Adam. We now move approximately 4000 years to the future of Adam being formed. We see an account of Jesus Christ, written by Apostle Paul, in the spring of the year 57 A.D. This 1st Corinthians, chapter 15, verses 45-49 describing the fact that although we are born in the flesh like Adam was in, we will also be born of the Spirit through Jesus Christ (if of course, we accept Him).
You read of this in the Bible as being born again, but the correct translation would be to be born from above. In the below verses the first man Adam is the Adam from the Garden of Eden, and the last Adam is Jesus Christ. He was referred to as "the last Adam" for our benefit, so that we would have documentation that they are from the same "family" (blood line - genealogy), and that prophecy was fulfilled and therefore all prophecy in the Bible will be fulfilled exactly as it is written. In this, we can believe all of the promises our Lord God has made to us in the written Word! You will also notice in the below verses, that I have pointed out two interesting selection of words by Apostle Paul. Apostle Paul wrote the following verses, he wrote them in the Greek language, but he also knew the Hebrew language, as Hebrew was his native tongue. The words he used in regards to the first Adam, point to the definite fact that the Forming of Adam and the creating of everyone else were in fact two separate 'creation' events, and that 4000 years later these differences carry through in the scriptures. As I have said, God gives us the truth and a means to document it if we search.
1 Corinthians 15:45-49 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam*1was made*2 a living soul; the last Adam*3 was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural*1; and afterward that which is spiritual*2.
47 The first man *1is of the earth, earthy*2: the second man *1is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy*1, such are they also that are earthy*1: and as is the
heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
Adam was first sent to help mankind be saved. Out of his loins came a peculiar people and a company of Priests, i.e., Israel. But Adam failed mankind before he even got started, for he failed God at the first, he violated the very commandment that God had given him. So, 4000 years later God sent a Savior, in the person of Jesus Christ, to save mankind. Jesus came from Adam's loins by genealogy. Thus Jesus is here referred to as the last Adam, for He was the last in the plan of God for the salvation of mankind. That is the difference between the sixth day and the eighth day creation events. The sixth was failed man, the eighth was formed especially to lead his fellow humans back to God; but he failed when he also fell to temptation and evil. The last Adam (Christ Jesus) would not fail, nor be tempted, nor fall away, nor sin. Verse 49 above is a 'sister verse' to the often misunderstood scripture of (Jn 3:5). Many take the verse of (Jn 3:5) totally out of context and point to it as Jesus commanding that we be Baptized. While we are to be baptized, this however simply is not what Jesus is saying HERE.
Born from above As we see below, the term 'born again' would be better translated 'born from above'.
Point made? I trust so. So let's close with a little synopsis:
God bless you and your studies of His Word, in the name of the Messiah Jesus Christ. Below are some reader's questions and/or objections to this study. In answering them we have been able to add further insight and shed greater light from the perfect Scriptures into the matter. Seeing them will aid the reader further in this study. See:
Appendix 1:
The 'eth haa Aadam
Genesis 1:27
A Necessary Note on Genesis 1:27 There is dilemma of sorts here. Not really a dilemma in the Scriptures, but a dilemma in the manner that we have taught them. And I myself am guilty of this. What I mean is that many (including us in the past) have placed so much emphasis on the 'eth haa-'aadam of Gen 2:7 that the matter becomes completely confused when we are met with an 'eth haa-'aadam here in Gen 1:27. This (the 'eth haa-'aadam in Gen 1:27) can only seen by reading from the manuscripts themselves (which we include a picture of the text below for you to share) because the Hebrew Article and Particles are not always evident in the English Bible. In fact, the King James Bible leaves us high and dry here, for while in the Hebrew the word "man" in Gen 1:27 has BOTH the Article and the particle, the Bible prints it simply as "man" without even capitalizing it; i.e., "So God created man..." (Gen 1:27). It doesn't even say "the man" whereby we may have been alerted to the Article. So this is an error with many to blame. And many of the greats have made this error; Pastor Murray doesn't teach it, Bullinger omits it in his appendix #14 of the Companion Bible: The Synonymous Words used for "Man" where he says:
But then in his footnotes in that same Companion Bible, for Gen 1:27 he says of this word "man":
Bullinger was wrong in his assumption that they were speaking of the same man, for he did not know of the two creation events, but he did notice the article and the particle here but omitted it in his above appendix. So we are not alone in this confusion, but nevertheless, when one discovers that he has left something amiss, and that correction is needed, it is best to simply make the correction and move on. No man is perfect. The Hebrew Particle is unrepresented in the English so that it does not appear in many transliterated works. The Particle is an actual Strong's word and it's definition is as follows:
Because of the way that we and others have taught it, it has come to mean in the students mind that 'eth haa Aadam is like Adam's proper full name or something, like my name is Nick Goggin. But this is not the case. 'eth haa Aadam does not mean Mr. Adam Eden. While the man Adam from the Garden of Eden may be properly called 'eth haa Aadam, it does not mean that it is his proper name. Literally, 'eth haa Aadam, means This same man (that particular being spoken of). So that:
In other words "in the image of God created he him" (the male), but "male and female created he them" (i.e., not in the image of 'Elohiym, but that both male and female were created at the same time).
I wonder if I am getting my point across? If I am then you will be thinking to yourself how perfect the Word of God is, for it differentiates things that we don't even know are there (i.e., that females, while indeed being created by God, and blessed (vs. 28), are simply not in His image). And that is no big mystery, for was not Jesus a male, circumcised on the eighth day, and yet He told His Disciples that when they saw Him they had seen God; i.e., God is male when in the flesh. Don't feel bad women, for even Eve was not in God's image but was rather taken from Adam. It boggles the mind to imagine how many other hidden truths are right there in the open within the Scriptures!
This will be much easier to understand for someone who is just learning of this, for those who have had the 'eth haa Aadam pounded into their heads as just about being as though the title was tantamount to being 'Mr. Adam Eden' must first unlearn the misconception before being able to relearn the clarity of the matter. We apologize for any contribution to the confusion that we may have caused in the past by over emphasizing the value of 'eth haa-Adam in the Scripture of Gen 2:7 without explaining the occurrence of the term in Gen 1:27. But we are happy to rectify it with the grace of God. Also, there are over three-hundred pages on this site and it could perchance be that this is not clearly brought out in some other place. This document takes precedence over any other discussion on the matter here on our site.
In both of the above we see Adam with BOTH the Article and the Particle. The Particle and Article in Gen 1:27 is to denote that the man (the male of the species) is made in the image of 'Elohiym (God) unlike the female; but in Gen 2:7 the Article and the Particle are to denote that this particular man (on the eighth day) in the Garden was formed by Yehovah 'Elohiym (the Lord God) apart from the males created on the previous creation (on the sixth day).

hosts several archives of Bible studies such as these by the Watchmen Bible Study Group. Although we are not affiliated with this or numerous others using the term Watchman in their names, we believe it important keep the full content intact for research and analysis for Bible students of future generations. We keep it available as good members of the body of Christ, for Christian unity. We do so on a non-profit basis. As the original owner's site went offline years ago, no one has paid to keep it online but us. We pray and hope such ministries are more careful about having successors to carry on their works in the future. Although we do not agree on every point of doctrine, we still believe it very important to not edit any of the original contents.
